I didn’t think Harper was gonna make him step down. Derek Zeisman following his conservative upbring?

  2. Did not Diefenbaker observe on the defection of a Tory to the Opposition benches “…he has simultaneously raised the collective IQ of both Parties”.

    Landowners Defy Canadian Immigration orders
On Thursday January 12, 2006 Michael Vanhauve and his family are to be deported from Canada to their Native Belgium. The Ontario Landowners have taken the Vanhauve family into their protective custody and will provide them with sanctuary. The Landowners will not allow them to be unjustly deported to serve crass political ends.
The Vanhauve family have been residents of Canada for eight years and have proven to be law abiding, respectful and hard working members of our society.
The Landowners will assemble at the Vanhauve family farm at 3890 Rockdale rd Sarsfield (Highway 417 East of Ottawa to Vars exit, travel North on the Rockdale rd), on Thursday January 12.
The house will be surrounded by heavy equipment and area landowners who will prevent any and all attempts by any officials to enter the Vanhauve family farm. The landowners will be assembled by approx. 11:00 am, the deportation order is to be executed by 6:00 p.m.
    additional background info is enclosed.

More Liberal Corruption and coercion – or just another tragic coincidence ?
On December 29, 2005 Navan farmer Michael Vanhauve and his family were served with a deportation order from Immigration Canada. Although the family has lived and worked and contributed to Canadian society for eight years, a 26-year-old conviction for shoplifting in his native Belgium was cited as the reason.
    Some facts to consider:
    1. For eight years the Vanhauve family visas were rubber stamped and approved. In August 2005 the visa was revoked
    2. Michael Vanhauve started work as a farm labourer for Pierre Etter in July 2005.
    3. Pierre Etter was charged in the spring of 2005 for dumping a dead cow on the front Lawn of area Liberal MP Don Boudria. This act was to protest Don Boudrias dismal performance representing farmers in his constituency (Prescott/Russell) during the BSE crisis.
    4. Shortly after having a dead cow dumped on his lawn-Don Boudria announced his retirement plans from politics.
    5. Don Boudria assisted the Vanhauve family in their dealings with Canadian immigration officials prior to the VanHauves employment with Pierre Etter.
    6. Pierre Etter and friends of the Vanhauve family have pledged to meet any Canadian Immigration financial criteria.
    7. A ministerial permit is the only means to delay or stop the deportation order.
    8. Ministerial permits must be sought through your local MP.
    9. Presently, local Liberal MP Don Boudria is out of the country
    Questions to ponder
If Michael Vanhauve did not work for Pierre Etter
    * Would the deportation order ever been initiated?
    * Would the Vanhauve family visa been revoked?
    * Is this deportation a true reflection of Canadian values, or is it a liberal attempt to silence and punish those who would stand up and demand accountable politicians?
    * If Pierre Etter had not dumped a dead cow-would the Vanhauves visa been once again rubber-stamped in August of 2005? >>>

  5. if he was a stripper/hooker the Lieberals would have had his visa fast tracked in the blink of an eye.
Maybe he should hav done some “volunteer” work on a Liberal campaign or bought pizzas for campaign workers.

  6. Gee, now there is an endorsement we should see in Liberal ads.
Martin blithered today about how Canada will have to compete with giant countries like China and India.
At http://www.theinfozone.net they are reporting India is dumping Kyoto.
Gee Paul Martin wants Canada to compete, but puts Canada on a slippery slope.
Maybe he figures we should change our flag?
    Tired.

  7. BC Liberal Candidate apologizes for non ads that didn’t run and were not released. . .

The Liberal candidate in Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca has apologized for this week’s release of a Liberal TV ad targeting the Conservatives’ defence policies.
The ad suggested that a Stephen Harper government would put “soldiers with guns” on the streets of Canadian cities.
On Wednesday night, Liberal incumbent Keith Martin apologized at an all-candidates debate in the Victoria suburb of Colwood. He told the crowd the ad was a gross error that does not represent the Liberals’ view of the military.
Keith Martin supports two tier health care as well.
And he loves Paul Martin 🙂 🙂 🙂

Two things, I believe , have damaged the Liberals to the point where they cannot possibly recover, and there is a third factor I’d like you to consider.
1)the Attack ad that insinuated that the Canadian Armed Forces are the equivalent of the Chinese Peoples’ Liberation Army is just too much for people to take. I don’t believe any Armed forces personnel will vote Liberal this time. Nor will their immediate families, and many rank & file canadians find the whole thing insulting too, their fathers having served with distinction in WW1, WWII, Korea and veriaous peacekeeping actions in the world.
    2) The publicity around these particular ads which have been pulled (Except in Quebec and I’ll get to that later) has innocculated the Tories against the rest of them. If these were a fabrication, what about the rest of them? people will simply tune out. Martin now has zero credibility. That exchange between the Liberal spin Doctor who tried to intimidate Mike Duffy to drop the matter also got a great deal of play. very damaging.
    3) Quebec: By running the ads about the military in cities in Quebec, the Liberals are just reminding people there about who actually did send armed troops into a major city…. remember the October crisis and te war measures act. Latest Straegic council poll squares with SES in finding the Liberals in a distant third place in QC right now so tese ads will be seen as a final act of desperation by a discredited party. They may never recover in Quebec now. the Strategic council showed that only 3% trust Mr martin, while 46% do not trust him one bit. In short, dead meat.
In short, I think the Liberals will be reduced to fewer than 10 seats, almost all of which will be on the Island of Montreal, in English/Jewish/Italian/Lebanese areas. they are off the map anywhere else.
That said, I have always believed that teh Conservatives were floundering in Ontario because of their zero rating in Quebec. Now that Ontarians see that they have credibility here, while theLiberals now have none, they will vote Tory as the best defense for federalism. Ontario/Quebec interdependency runs too deep, for too long, not to mention the family ties.
In short we are, I believe looking at a slaughter of the magnitude of 1984, or ’88.
And remember as well that ’93 happened largely because of the attack ads that focussed on Chretien’s mouth.
The reason that the Toris were dropped to 2 seats instead of 60-80 was because of the rise of Reform.
The Libs will win seats in non-francophone Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, but nowhere else. >http://www.voy.com/178771/118158.html

  9. Political parties, as they approach the end of a dynasty start making more and more mistakes.
It is almost as if there is a subliminal design in the party to get a rest in opposition. A chance to refresh, revitalize and recover from a long period in power.
In this campaign, we have seen one of the poorest Liberal campaigns one could imagine.
If the Liberals were to eke out a win, can you imagine how tired and lifeless their government could be?
If it were a Liberal minority, we would be faced with a Liberal party civil war live in the media.
Canada would be the real loser.
    In Canada.
I am not making this up.
    Tired.

  10. It is my hope that Michael Vanhauve can hold off the deportation of his family until the new Conservitive minister is named after 23.1.2006 I think it speaks more of Liberal values… family ties maybe? than the so called Canadian values that PM is trying to sell us.
On a somewhat unrelated issue, I can hardly wait to see what a “free” auditor general and RCMP find in the books… I suppose the RCMP will need the Musical Ride to give it a rest for awhile, they’ll need the uniforms to conduct the white collar / Liberal investigations… maybe they could even begin hiring on merit.

  11. I wonder if Belinda will get her same seat on the opposition benches.(if elected) Also wonder if Scott, Keith, and B.S. are having second thoughts on crossing the floor. A majority means 4yrs sitting on the outside. Maybe they will join the Green Party, to give them a voice in the house of commons. Martin will have nightmares, with Jean whispering in his ear, I got majorities, ha ha.
