Beryl P. Wajsman isn’t impressed with the Gomery report. Or Martin. Or Sheila Fraser, or the media or nearly anyone, it seems. Though, I like this part;
We did not find out why there is no Inquiry into the reported $167,000 in Canada Steamship Lines contracts awarded during Mr. Martins tenure as Finance Minister being in reality $167,000,000. Nor why there is no Inquiry into the millions of dollars of contracts awarded to Earnscliffe Strategies where many of Mr. Martins political operatives worked. Nor why there is no Inquiry into the $1.5 billion dollars in guarantees awarded under Mr. Martins watch as Finance Minister in favour of Bombardier whose lobbyist was Mike Robinson, a principal in Earnscliffe and national campaign co-chair for Mr. Martin, who admitted on CTV to having talked with Mr. Martins Chief of Staff on this file. Nor why there is no Inquiry into the CSL affiliates transferred to the tax haven of Barbados that, according to Radio- Canadas Enjeux documentary, avoided $300,000,000 of taxes by taking advantage of rule changes enacted while Mr. Martin was Finance Minister. But then one can reasonably conclude that Mr. Martin was not mad as hell about these matters since some of them touched very close to home and were beginning to appear almost daily in the press just before the Auditor- Generals report in February of 2004.
By the way, Wajsman was one of those “banned for life” from Liberal Party membership, though he states he wasn’t named in any wrongdoing. He wasn’t a member, either.
Give it a read.

Only a US prosecutor can get to the bottom of the shenanigans/shawinigans going on in The People’s Republic of Bananada.
Cue the anthem soundtrack.
How can you ban somebody from something they never belonged to? Oh yeah.Another typical Liberal move. Make a big fuss about doing something, when in fact they accomplish nothing except to steal more money. But it’s all about the perception to the idiots in Ontario, especially the GTA.
Outstanding! The ‘tip of the iceberg’ has been sighted and established- and new we get a peek at what lies in the murky depths below.
“This is the Captain of the Titanic speaking: There is no cause for alarm- we are only stopping to take on a little ice.”
Justthinkin: Some of us folks in the GTA haven’t just fallen off the turnip truck. (And talk is cheap, isn’t it?) But never fear- the ‘troop train’ from Halifax to Ottawa is now under way. It might be very interesting to hear what those war vets will have to say, when they take-whoopsi- arrive in Ottawa.
I had forgotten about the Canada Steamship contracts. This is bloody corruption overload. Really makes you understand why the ELB’s [eastern liberal bastards/bitches] wanted gun control. I haven’t owned or shot a gun in over 20 years, but I think I want one now.
and now MR. Martin is talking of stricter gun controls to combat the violence in the GTA. The mayor of Toronto wants all the guns locked up in a central storage area. When that happens wait till you see the tear that the Liberals will embark upon then. Like the man said “You ain’t seen nothin yet!”
Goodale wants to rip off Canadians’ retirement savings by taxing income trusts – why doesn’t he start by making Canadian companies and rich individuals pay tax instead of hiding it offshore, particularly companies like Canada Steamship that get massive federal government contracts. What a joke – the average Canadian taxpayer continues to get screwed by the Libranos
I have a few questions myself.
1. Since the FBI flipped Frank (Curly) Lino, a capo in the Bonanno crime family who told them that Alphonso Gagliano was a made member of the Bonanno crime family, why haven’t we heard more about authorities trying to get to the truth of this matter?
2. Since Gagliano was ‘outed’ at a big sitdown in Canada for made members of the Bonanno crime family, why hasn’t more information come out about who else was at that meeting and what connections the participants have with people in government and other important positions in Canada?
3. How many top officials knowingly appointed a made Mafia member to the position of Public Works Minister, and why did they knowingly appooint him?
What kind of favors required a made Mafia member in order for him to be secured in an important government post?
4. Since Don Vito Rizzuto, the Godfather of Canada, and Alphonso Gagliano are both members of the Bonanno crime family, why haven’t we heard more about the ties between the two of them, their joint projects, their joint allegiances, and the other Mafia personnel that they both associate with, especially after that big drug transaction in the sports car?
5. Why have we heard nothing about Canadian drug money being laundered in the Canadian stock market? How many publicly traded companies are awash in money that originally came from narcotics trafficking?
6. Why does the government of Canada want to maintain the practice of Senators and judges appointed by government, and why is government not moving rapidly to press for elected Senators?
I could go on with this list, but I have to say that from my point of view the Canadian government is very close to being a criminal empire. All of our governments have components of corruption, but it is very unusual for prime ministers knowingly to appoint organized crime members to important government posts.
As far as I am concerned, the Canadian government is somewhat like Capone’s Chicago. Racketeers are in bed with gangsters in an organized crime enterprise that is highly profitable and very difficult to unseat.. Simply because the people that one goes to for help are actually some of the people profiting from the enterprise.
You couldn’t have a worse political enemy than Mr. Wajsman. He has a detailed mind, he’s voluble, he’s an insider’s insider, and he’s out-of-control-pissed. At first he seems intent on having it both ways — trivializing abuses of Sponsorship program monies under Chretien while calling out Martin for similar things — but it’s soon clear that the details only matter to him because they inflame his odium for the utter hypocrisy of the Martinites, and selective moralizing of Gomery.
Canadians are really, really sick of hypocrisy too. That’s what makes Mr. Wajsman’s piece cathartic as well as informative and interesting. Some newspaper should pony up big time for a five part exclusive series by Mr. Wajsman about what’s really gone on in Ottawa in the last few years. I don’t think people would want to miss a single edition. It would also put a proverbial brick wall in front of the Martinites who are trying to shovel their own well-earned woes onto Jean Chretien.
Can you say “watershed”?
167000000 instead of 167000. it seems the Liberals are good at forgetting numbers, transactions, deals, and invoices.
ontario hasnt moved a bit in the polls indicating that they like the agenda of thievery over “the hidden agenda”
Je suis une separatist. vive d’Alberta libre. or whatever
Cal: Relax. It’s only three digits, and they’re all zeros.
GregoutsideDallas:
Since Your people outed that in the first place- why don’t you ask them? Sheesh- you expect to read stuff like that in the press up here?
I wonder, when
Blind trusts
Lotteries & gaming
Crown corporations
Bombardiere
Air Canada
Gomery & apointees
and 100 more [it’s late, can’t think]
Get properly reviewed, if the Canadian public will go numb? Never vote again? Organize a posse
of bounty hunters and collect Adscam artists living it up in Costa Rica, Turks & Cacaos, Barbados, Belize , Bermuda and bring them back to face Canadain justice. I hope we can do the latter. TG
Re Gagliano–no one asked the question of how a mobster in the US even knew who Gagliano was–I bet 99% of Canadians had never heard of him and could not have picked him out of a line-up.
When you look at the Liberal record, any thinking person has to admit that it is run like the Mafia rather than a democratic government–right down to looking after their own.
Will Canada ever wake up–or is it already too late?
Martin loan syndicate runs surveillance on Gomery
A detail overlooked by the mainline media in the Gomery Report: Raymond Garneau, special investor in the CAI Private Equity Group–the loan syndicate behind Paul Martins family takeover of Canada Steamship Lines (CSL)–who has been running surveillance on Mr. Justice John H. Gomery since June 22, 2005. (Canada Free Press)>>>

Y’know what?
Betcha Steven Harper’s surprise involves …a book. Possibly written by someone like Wajsman. A real warts and all expose. Just a thought.
…hmmmmmm…….
What i really want to see is for Harper to announce that once he’s in power, he will be appointing an independant commisioner, maybe even Judge Gomery, to investigate Mr Cutlers allegations of impropriety between Earnscliffe and the Finance Ministry back in the early/mid 90’s
