  12. Anyone remember when progressives were disgusted by child beauty pageants because of hyper sexualization of children and condemned the parents for exploitation? It was about 5 minutes ago, just before progressives embraced what is basically child beauty pageants for transkids.

    Intellectual consistency and double standards are not well understood concepts for liberal progressives. Apparently, being woke means never having to say you’re a hypocrite.

    1. There is a theory that liberals and progressives have a deep psychological need to replace what is beautiful with something that is ugly. Classic architecture replaced by Brutalist architecture. Beautiful artistic masterpieces replaced with whatever the names are of what passes for art these days. Pretty clothing styles that flattered your shape with clothing that looks good on almost no one.

      Now they also want to erase the beauty of classic feminine and masculine forms. For instance- Pretty, slim and athletic female models are bad while overweight, unattractive and transwomen models are good.

      I expect that the backlash against progressives will include a renaissance that will bring back classical beauty *but* beauty that includes the beautiful fashions, art and architecture of many different cultures. Greco-Roman, 19th and early 20th century British and American, Asian, North American Aboriginals, India, etc.

      Many Conservative leadership candidates have released platform points on the future of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, yet six of them did not vote Wednesday evening: Michael Chong, Kellie Leitch, Erin O’Toole, Deepak Obhrai, Lisa Raitt and Andrew Scheer. The two candidates from Quebec — Maxime Bernier and Steven Blaney — voted against Trost’s bill.

    I wrote in a complaint to the CBC Ombudsman when the about article first came out, but she refused to deal with my complaint (a first for me). I refiled the same com[plaint with her replacement, and he sent it along to the producer thingy to answer my complaint, but I never heard back from her.
