The job of the mainstream media was only ever to sell soap flakes and tell the gullible what their masters wanted them to think. Reporting news was something you did if you wanted to be murdered in broad daylight by the mob or the Deep State.

NR has a few never trumpers but fewer and there are more moderates and of course VDH.
That and it’s a much older group of writers – more establishment- than NR.

The common thread with the two posted links is that these moribund publications tacked left, thinking that is where the audience is. The is the “ESPN effect”: there is a corporate decision to go left wing, and as a result the media outlet proceeds to lose their audience. In the U.S., nearly all establishment media supper the Democratic party and hate Trump. In Canada, nearly all the establishment media support the Liberals and the NDP. The problem is, since the media speak in unison, a given media outlet like Vox or Buzzfeed loses its relevance. If one supports the Democratic party, one can simply read the ABC or CBS news sites for free.
All the NPCs up here in Canada are FULLY indoctrinated in the Anti-Trump propaganda. I like it when someone spouts one of their Orange-Man Bad claims, then I know there is no point talking to them anymore. It is the classic indicator that you are dealing with a DRONE.
