Or so I’ve heard. Honest, Mr/Ms Taxperson, I don’t know anything about that.

  1. Our new Overlords have arrived. They will be examining your resume´based on everything you’ve ever done online. Then they may decide to interview you for any remaining non-android jobs.

Remember- speak only when spoken to during the interview.
Any fear in your voice will be recorded and analyzed as a lie detector would.

This will soon make choosing governments easy, much like electing a new Pope.
The top androids will vote for the Tyrannosaurus Rex Android.

Look for smoke emitted from the Google tower for that announcement.

“Michael Kruger at German skeptic site Science Skeptical here writes about how solar energy indutry in Germany has disintegrated spectacularly.

What follows are 4 charts that show us some shocking trends, and how in reality the German solar industry has seen a bloodbath that can be rated as one of the worst in a long time. The reality is that Germany’s green revolution is far from being a model for the world.

“Peterson is often called a conservative, which (when you read him) turns out to be literally true.”

    …-

“Empathy, authenticity go a long way to explaining Jordan Peterson’s appeal

He offers a rare spectacle on our screens: a man thinking! Perhaps that’s why his YouTube videos have been viewed an astonishing 50 million times”

“Peterson is often called a conservative, which (when you read him) turns out to be literally true.

He wants to conserve the life many of us live rather than to endorse untested ideas that may bring our society crashing down, the fate of other civilizations in the past. He does not embrace the widely held idea that the West is responsible for the fundamental ills of the world. He doesn’t like political correctness, identity politics or accusations of “white privilege,” and he refuses to use “trendy and artificially constructed words” such as “zhe” and “zher” to describe transexual students and faculty — a decision that infuriates many students and drew a reproof from his university’s management.

“Our society,” as he says, “faces the increasing call to deconstruct its stabilizing traditions to include smaller and smaller numbers of people. Each person’s private trouble cannot be solved by a social revolution, because revolutions are destabilizing and dangerous. Altering our ways of social being carelessly in the name of some ideological shibboleth is likely to produce far more trouble than good.””

    1. This is a good post, and perfectly summarizes why conservatism is a canard. Stasis is not the forward; the Industrial Revolution was full of destabilization and danger and totally worth it. So were various social revolutions in the mid-20th century.

      1. But the industrial revolution was about increasing productivity and destabilized the existing order by improving the material quality of life for everyone. The kind of social revolution you are seeking is closer to the library of Alexandria burning.

        1. I seek no such thing, but I’m not interested in ‘tradition’ either. If tradition is all you offer up as an alternative to bad revolution, then bad revolutions happen.

“As Wynne Launches Unhinged Attacks On Ford, Ontario Liberals Fall To Third Place In New Poll

Forum Research poll shows the Ford PCs with a massive lead, and the NDP in second place.

The Wynne Liberals are getting more and more desperate, and as that desperation increases their attacks are getting more and more unhinged.

Kathleen Wynne recently went on an unhinged rant comparing Doug Ford to Donald Trump and acting as if she’s campaigning in the United States.

Now, a new poll shows why Wynne is so concerned.

According to Forum Research, the Wynne Liberals have fallen to third place.”

“For one, imports improve us. Always. Even if every country in the world had 100% tariffs on U.S. goods, it would still be wise for the U.S. to remain totally open to foreign plenty. That’s the case because when we divide up work, we’re once again able to specialize.”

  6. “The transparency here is the DNC approaching a nervous breakdown. They’re seeing things and are in panic mode. What could be more transparent than that?”

    …-

“DNC on Verge of a Nervous Breakdown with Russia Lawsuit

At last—after what feels like decades—we have some transparency in the Russia matter!

No, I’m not talking about how the DOJ finally, after another seeming eternity, coughed up the Comey memos—although the vacuous and contradictory contents of the oddball former director’s jottings might have something to do with it.

I am referring to the astonishing revelation that the Democratic National Committee (aka the DNC) is filing a lawsuit alleging Russia, the Trump campaign, and WikiLeaks conspired to disrupt the 2016 election.

The transparency here is the DNC approaching a nervous breakdown. They’re seeing things and are in panic mode. What could be more transparent than that?

And they should be. Their Russia collusion delusion is coming down all around them—it’s amazing it lasted so long—with many of their stalwarts, from Andrew McCabe to a slew of high-ranking FBI and DOJ officials, and even, though less likely, some Obama insiders, fighting to stay of out the slammer.

And the inspector general’s report isn’t even out yet.”

“The Kinder Morgan pipeline battle is tearing at the seams of the vision of Canada pursued by the Fathers of Confederation, says Jason Kenney, the leader of Alberta’s United Conservative Party.”

    https://globalnews.ca/news/4157850/kinder-morgan-pipeline-jason-kenney-confederation/

    1. Isn’t it ironic that after all the times the Sock monkey criticized PMSH of imposing his terms on the provinces, the only way this pipeline expansion can go ahead is if Juthtin has the protesters removed by force. This is the guarantee I believe that KM wants to see by May 31 and it’s something PMSH never had to do.
      Divided country…. check
      PM named Trudeau …. check
Project being held hostage by a group same PM has surrounded himself with….. check.
This could do irreparable harm and his legacy could be the dissolution of this country.
      Like father like son.
His father surrounded him self with fair weather federalists in Quebec to the detriment of the country
His son has likewise surrounded himself with watermelons and is willfully blind to the damage.
If he allows KM to pull the plug on this because he doesn’t want to deconstruct his “Ready to do those things Stephen Harper won’t do ” line, there will be no coming back.
As much as I have no faith in the little turd to do it, for the good of the country he should do the right thing and enforce the law as it is now.
      No need for new legislation.
No need to buy off anyone.
No need to meet with any premier.
Just do it, and do it now.

    2. KM is the kick that pushed the rotten house down, revealing how bad it really is. Actually, the recent SC ruling is. Another Harper failure.

“Business confidence in Canada is collapsing

And the reason why is obvious”

“The unfortunate reality is that Canada has become a more expensive, less hospitable place to do business while the United States has become more business-friendly. It shouldn’t, therefore, be surprising that the U.S. is enjoying a surge in investment (and all the benefits that it provides) while Canada suffers from a collapse in investment.

Perhaps an upside of the disappointing announcement from Kinder Morgan on the Trans Mountain pipeline is that it will focus the attention of Canadians on our dismal and declining competitiveness and investment performance. Even if the already-approved Kinder Morgan project moves ahead, Canada has an uphill climb to reform its investment climate.

Jason Clemens and Niels Veldhuis are economists with the Fraser Institute.”

    1. “The US has become more business friendly”

That needs qualification. It certainly has not become more business friendly for Qualcom, which the USG messed with because China, or anyone who needs to import steel, aluminum, or a bunch of other tariffed items. Or for anyone who depends on a stable USD, which is everyone. The USD is getting waxed.

For starters, The Ukraine Archival Records held by the Province of Alberta. It has a whole file on Chomiak, including his own details about his days editing the newspaper Krakivski Visti.

Chomiak noted he edited the paper first in Crakow (Cracow), Poland and then in Vienna. The reason he edited the paper in Vienna was because he had to flee with his Nazis colleagues as the Russians advanced into Poland. (The Russians tended to execute collaborators well as SS members).
