Today, we are announcing that the Administration will end the COVID-19 vaccine requirements for Federal employees, Federal contractors, and international air travelers at the end of the day on May 11, the same day that the COVID-19 public health emergency ends. Additionally, HHS and DHS announced today that they will start the process to end their vaccination requirements for Head Start educators, CMS-certified healthcare facilities, and certain noncitizens at the land border. In the coming days, further details related to ending these requirements will be provided.

Good question. Why do they think anyone still needs this? I did not think they were paying that much attention at the land border already.
They weren’t and then for a while after Canada dropped the requirement they were. Not sure if they ask much now. My jabbed dil goes a cross regularly will ask her again if she’s asked.
Talked to a handful of different people over the last few weeks as to their crossing experiences. Depending on location, some never got asked, some got asked, “Are you vaccinated-OK then”, not allowing for a response, some got asked every time. Roosville, MT is one of the latter, apparently. The others had crossed at Coutts, Del Bonita & Carway.

I suspect it means that Brandon’s administration will continue to do what it’s always done which is allow unvaccinated illegal aliens to cross the border and be inserted into communities that it forced or encouraged to get the shots, but it will be doing so now as an “official” policy rather than as the avoidance of a vaccination requirement for illegal aliens that would interfere with its other policy of importing a new citizenry.

Beginning May 12, 2023, DHS will no longer require non-U.S. travelers entering the United States via land ports of entry and ferry terminals to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide related proof of vaccination upon request. DHS intends to rescind these Title 19 travel restrictions in alignment with the end of the Public Health Emergency and the termination of the Presidential Proclamation on air travel.

A friend of mine (cabinet maker) here in Montana had a client who was Canadian and owns a property in Montana. He tried to drive here, but was refused entry. He did have appropriate vaccine exemption papers. So he reflected on the fact that he had never been stopped while flying. He had his vehicle shipped to Great Falls, then flew across, picked up his vehicle and drove to Kalispell area.
But you’ll still have to pretend that masks work when entering a medical facility.
As I understand it, there is still a stringent requirement to show proof of “vaccination” when traveling by air to the US. This negates the ground requirement (which wasn’t enforced on selective groups).
Well…that makes a lot of sense, just like every C-19 policy.

6 months ago there was a public service announcement in my state that the Covid emergency would end in May 2023 and automatic enrollment in certain entitlements would end so get your fat a#$ off the couch and re-enroll. Nice to know the “ending” had nothing to do with anything measured.
For that matter, neither did the start.
