    1. Sheep are there to be fleeced, not paid-off.

Best to avoid those types of damaged humans. They are … well .. damaged and you don’t want to get any of that on you. If they are that gullible and stupid, they need to be left alone in their own hell on earth.

      1. Hey Kenji, you must know of Stephen Kirsch. He’s from your neck of the woods.

    1. He claims to have started the bidding at $100.
If you’re sitting in first class, you can probably cover $100 with pocket money.
From there, who knows how much money he had on him but I’d never run into this situation because I’d have not had the mask on my face to begin with.

  1. Steve Kirsch is very much the real deal. He has been a leading voice on the danger of the vaccines, even though he was vaccinated.

    1. Or a devout adherent to the religion of the god known as government.
“The Science!” is the creed. The face diaper is the rosary. Ratting out your neighbour is the confession. The mRNA jab is the communion.

  2. Once upon a time, back in March 2020, I was very pro-mask. At the time, I figured any advantage you could get was worth having, and the disease was supposed to be:

    A) fatal
    B) pervasive
    C) spread by DROPLET contamination.

The stupid dentist mask -does- stop droplets. It isn’t great at stopping them, it doesn’t get all of them, but it does help. I’d take all the help I could get at the time, because why would they lie about something so important, right?

Well, now we know that they lied on all three counts. The WuFlu was -not- fatal to most people. Less than a usual flu. The WuFlu was not pervasive, it was no different than a usual flu for spreading. And most of all, we know it was an AEROSOL not droplet born contamination.

An aerosol is basically smoke. If your mask can stop smoke, it can stop the WuFlu. But if your mask fogs your glasses, or if you can smell smoke through it, it is useless for the intended purpose.

I spent a miserable few weeks in 2020 because the government lied.

But that won’t be happening again. Because now I know they lied. With malice, forethought and intent. The next time, I will not believe them.

Unfortunately, there are a -lot- of people out there clinging to the lies. A look at that comments section is instructive. The societal damage of that event is huge. It’ll be a generation before we get over it.

    1. “.. because why would they lie about something so important, right?”

“They” have been lying about nearly every economic, political and cultural matter of any importance for my entire life – it’s what we should expect of them. They are TUGLI – The Usual Gang of Lying Idiots.

    2. “But that won’t be happening again. Because now I know they lied. With malice, forethought and intent. The next time, I will not believe them.”

And that’s the saddest part of the whole affair, to me…the destruction of (what was left of) public trust in the health authorities.

It’s the Boy Who Cried Wolf scenario: the next pandemic to come around the pike might actually be a *real* deadly virus, but how many of us will be inclined to listen now? I’ve also read stories about new parents who are now opposing the mandatory vaccination of their children before they attend public school, because a few idiots thought that it might be a good idea to mandate COVID-19 vaccines as part of the established protocol.

  3. What’s the point?
    Let us see.
The guy, however smart and rich, had no right and interest in telling the woman to take her mask off.
The woman was apparently in prison of her own mind to have a mask and then taking it off for lunch, an obvious illogicality in real terms.

In Calgary, you can see people on the street, in their cars, in the stores, wearing mask in the middle of March 2023.
There are multitudes of people that succumbed to the dicktat (sic) and there is no way out. Possibly to the time they expire getting sick because of wearing a mask. They would not see it or ever believe it that the act of wearing mask was major contributor to their demise.

A way to pay no attention to those masked characters is not paying attention.
As a free person can say, it’s their business, it’s a free country, sort of anyway, they can walk on their hands if they want.

A modest person once said, seeing man and a woman kissing on a busy street, there is nothing particularly wrong with that, though they expose themselves to ridicule.
The masked are completely ignorant of the ridicule they expose themselves to.
On the other hand, they love the attention of a stare.

  4. Oopsie! I had a comment that didn’t pass muster because I had some inappropriate suggestions for those who demanded we mask up.

I see people driving alone wearing masks, and it makes me very angry that the Petty Powers That Be so terrified a whole lot of people. I still sometimes see people outdoors walking alone in bright sunlight, which kills any virus in about 2 minutes plus or minus, and they are wearing a mask.

And they are still talking masks! Perhaps early into the FauXi Flu, the insistence on masks could be excused, but now? It’s just plain evil.

The apparently permanent psychological damage that was done to a sizeable number of people is far, far beyond wrong. The people who pushed the masks, knowing they wouldn’t work, should be held to account and… I’ll stop there so this comment doesn’t get binned, too.

  5. Not fear; face. Had the original offer been $100,000, the mask might have come off revealing a sheepish grin. By rejecting smaller offers she built up such a stake in remaining masked that her self-image was on the line. Like in the old joke “How much would you take off ..” her dignity was at auction.

  6. A few holdouts in my area as well. Reminds me of emaciated Japanese soldiers emerging from jungle islands 30 years after the war ended convinced of an emperor’s infallibility.
Normally I’d pity them until I remind myself how these same people tried to force me to join their cult.

  7. Oh, please. The masked woman won, as she could not be bought at any price by an as. h… new money millionaire . Airline rules etc. were always hypocritical, and not based on any science. Who cares if anyone wears a mask? This woman played the millionaire like a fiddle.

People who want others or ridicule them to remove masks are no better than the political/health gods who told everyone to wear them, as both are telling others how to live. What happened to live and let live?

  8. Probably the biggest surprise and revelation I have had because of the pandemic is how many fearful cowards there are in our population. Sure, there are some who have medical issues like immune deficiencies that gives some legitimacy to their mask use even though they are largely ineffective.. The others are just cowards plain and simple. And they want the rest of us to join their mask-wearing team. Not going to happen. With sheep like this in our population it’s no wonder Trudeau keeps getting re-elected.

    1. Actually, masks are useful if you do not want to wear your partial dentures, put on makeup or talk to anyone at the bank or grocery store.

Combine with large winter hat and scarf, possibly sunglasses
