  1. It’s videos like this that make many people think that all Americans who are gun owners are crazy, deranged and stupid. He may be meticulous about safety and handling but he comes across like some in bred hillbilly who does dangerous nonsense. Just my two cents.

    1. This guy is a youtube whore. All for the clicks.

As far as safety… this is the guy who blew himself up, almost died, shooting poorly made .50

      1. It’s not so much the gun was poorly made, as the round he was using was well beyond the safety limits and SAAMI standards for that round.

      2. Yup. He’s a good candidate for the Treadwell Memorial Award. At least we know his final split second will be recorded for posterity.

  2. A fellow once tossed me a .50 cal Barrett. Not expecting the weight, it nearly knocked me over. I asked him what in world he did with it and he said mostly disintegrate concrete blocks. At around five bucks a round, I admit I didn’t quite get it. I like my smaller caliber guns especially my .22 Chiapa 1911 model. What can I say? LOL

  3. 40 years ago my parents had three visiting US military men over for a bbq. The talk turned to guns.

One asked my dad what type of weapon he preferred. My dad’s answer? Five inch.

  4. What good is a gun whose recoil breaks your shoulder? And what are you going to hunt, mastodons?

    1. The 2A wasn’t included so people could hunt mastodons or even many many deer.

It’s there because eventually, all gov’t closes in on, or turns against the common folk and we all need something to defend ourselves from their overreach and malfeasance with.

So in a roundabout way, it’s to hunt Democrats, uniparty imbeciles, and communists, which don’t even count as “communists aren’t people” … which if you line them up right, the bullet will enter and then exit through a bunch of them, thus potentially saving valuable time shooting them while they’re scattered all over a park or say for example a university “common” green tented area protesting for the terrorists in Gaza.

      1. Says GYM, who would get knocked flat on his fat ass if he fired that gun.

      1. A toy that can only be fired by young men who can press 400 lbs — and even then, they are reluctant to do so — isn’t much of a toy.

          1. “Best toy ever.”

Would be interesting, for sure…if wildly impractical. I question the way he was shooting it without attempting any sort of grip on the gun itself, though (…maybe under the scope?); seems like asking for lots of recoil motion by firing it one-handed.

I’ve seen a few of his videos over the years. He does alright compared to some. Brandon Herrerra is better, in my opinion.

        1. I just hauled mine out of winter storage. It’s mosquito season.

        2. “young men who can press 400 lbs” are obviously the next new marginalized victim group in Canada. Who will represent them?

First they came for the Jews………..

      2. “It’s a toy for men. You wouldn’t understand.”

Heh…then he responds to you and demonstrates his lack of understanding.

        1. Well then explain it. What does a $20,000 US hunk of metal that sits in your basement because you dare not fire because it’ll rip your shoulder off do for you? Wouldn’t that money be better spent on beer and new golf clubs?

          1. “Well then explain it.”

I’m guessing because it’s their $20,000US to do whatever they want with.

Otherwise they may be environmentally conscious and feel that “new golf clubs” and expensive golf memberships contribute to water shortages across the south and Midwest parts of the country.

Then again, maybe they understand that the FBI lists “Blunt Objects” as one of the highest occurrence of murder weapons used in the US, golf clubs among them although not separated from other blunt objects specifically. Potentially murder conscientious hobbyists they might choose the .950 JDJ as a tool with Zero reports of homicide(?) – or bank robbery as far as we know.

Can anyone else chip in with some explanations, I can go on but hate to hog the thread.

  5. The 12 gauge I used to own kicked too hard for my liking. That’s just crazy. I predicted it would destroy all 5 toilets and had no doubt it would mess up the jugs and blocks. That is a massive round. However, I would pass on firing that thing. I have no problem with him having fun with it and absorbing the pain. Fun to watch. Maybe they can make one that fires concrete blocks? LOL
My son in law had a license to own and sell almost anything. I got to fire all kinds of weapons. No one was hurt other than the targets but it’s a lot of fun. He would probably give that thing a go.

    1. Thomas
They have a 50 cal semi auto sniper rifle that kills cement blocks, and has almost NO kickback.
Watched a clip of a dork firing it, who have had a black eye if using a regular 50 cal.

    2. “The 12 gauge I used to own kicked too hard for my liking. ”

I have a Benelli 12 gauge with a short-recoil action (not gas operated). Fires as fast as you can pull the trigger, but at the cost of severe recoil.

“That’s just crazy. I predicted it would destroy all 5 toilets and had no doubt it would mess up the jugs and blocks. ”

Me too…all five toilets and five of the water jugs (it did six). Saw a video just a few days ago of guys firing various rounds into a water tank, so I knew how fast water slows projectiles down.

“That is a massive round. However, I would pass on firing that thing. I have no problem with him having fun with it and absorbing the pain. Fun to watch. ”

I’d like to see his shoulder the next day.

Biggest thing I’ve ever fired is my friend’s .340 Weatherby…that’s painful enough for me. The trick with any large caliber is to grip it very tightly to the shoulder and ‘ride’ the recoil (don’t try to fight it too hard).

    3. Thomas, my grand father gave me his old double barrel 12 when I was 12. The first time I fired it I did not think about the kick and did I ever get kicked. Purple shoulder and very sore right hand, lesson leaned though.

  6. I actually have a gun licence in Canada. I think that’s impressive. Haven’t bought anything yet. I want more training before I decide what to get.

Then make shady friends in Toronto so I can get the good stuff. As someone with no criminal record, never done nothing, I can’t be trusted…

    1. Is this license for a business? Or do you actually need a license to own a gun in Canada?
If the former, based on comments, I can see how you arrived at needing a license.

      1. You don’t need a license to own a gun in Canada. But you do need one to own a gun legally in Canada.
(So the government knows who to persecute when they need votes, and who to not prosecute when they need votes.)

  7. Snore.
    Big bullet porn.
Reminds me of the old shite about the dudes with the biggest trucks having the smallest dicks and all that truck.
All you need is a screwdriver and sufficient ire in protection of yours.

    1. “Rather stick to 45-70 myself.”

For actual hunting, for sure. A well-proven round.

      1. I imagine windage sucks for shooting gophers or groundhogs at any significant distance. You’d definitely need to call them in a little.

  8. Will that round penetrate an FBI assault vehicle? Asking for a Branch Davidian friend …

  9. I like Kentucky Ballistics.
He’s fun to watch, and it’s neat to see big guns.
All these “holier than though” types calling him names haven’t done squat to entertain me or anyone else, but KB has. He deserves every penny he makes from his youtube business.

  10. Justin would be very angry if he saw that. Luckily, we not allowed to own them in Canada. I feel so much safer with Justin at the helm.

  11. @BDFT – “we not allowed to own them in Canada”

yup – “As of May 1, 2020 the Government of Canada has prohibited over 1,500 models of assault-style firearms…………New maximum thresholds for muzzle energy (greater than 10,000 Joules)”

Quick check shows .950 JDJ delivers somewhere around 52,450 J

  12. My 45-70 will take anything on this continent. Anything bigger is just showing off.

I would posit that KB is just showing off, but hey, if it works for him, I say, go fer it!

What pisses me off, is the idiots in charge that won’t allow such stuff, cuz they’re afraid of it!
