My guess is probably 90% of the Columbia students “protesting” are from the non-STEM (i.e., useless) faculties. Which tells me in the long run that universities should be split into UNIVERSITIES and day care centres for the non-STEM types.

In the past, protests used to be a great way to pick up chicks. Today, the pickings are not too compelling and a lot needs to be sacrificed such as ones self respect. So men, don’t go trolling protests, leave the dregs to the soy boys.

I actually thought that O’Bama having “said” he took his undergraduate degree at Columbia (not going to go hard here on no other students having actually seen O’Bama in any of their Columbia classes…) after not taking the correct prerequisite courses in the prescribed order at Occidental Collage in Calif. (like normal students would have had to) would have been enough to think that Columbia was now rewarding those it felt were politically correct, and not necessarily excellent.
Which dovetails with the ongoing murderous pro-Gazan demonstrations as well…
But also, “only 13” federal judges?

And we can’t even tell them to learn how to say “Do you want fries with that?” because they have self-serve kiosks now.
l understand macdonalds tried a very secret experiment using one of those lifelike japanese robots to take the order.

Over the last ten years, universities have been awash in woke politics, where tolerance and diversity have been pushed with religious fervour. And this hasn’t been voluntary — many students were required to take DEI courses, and many job applicants were required to make DEI statements.
And this is the result. It’s almost as if tolerance was never the aim.
If they are losing donors it is well deserved. The utter gutlessness of these universities allowing the spread of hate and support of terrorism on campus is astonishing.

l spent 10 years 2012-2022 part time at the local campus alternating between audit and credit courses. tuition paid, senior discount.
the ‘atmosphere’ was scary. in autumn 2019 l went to the academic support people telling them l had an ominous gut feeling l was going to get in trouble. l suspected with my autism it was going to be a microagression issue,
the that winter covid hit and one of the co-eds on the zoom tutorial looked really stressed so l emailed her to cheer her up, ‘youre a 1 percenter’

l got accused ‘inapproriate’ referencing her appearance.that same moment l decided to quit and did so in 22.
fcuk ’em. ya ‘inappropriate’ that l got a face like a fcukin horse.
my parting shot l make damn sure they knew they werent getting a NICKEL out of me for their scholarships or fundraising.
the clincher, l did a exceptionally staggering lift on their leg press that same term, so much so l got it documented for posterity.
and the management told me not to give suggestions, tips, encouragement etc to any of the undergrads. aka ‘shut yer fcukin face around here’ like some seedy bar.
l complained to their DEI person, it got nowhere.
Here in N. CA … the black, male Chancellor of UC Davis is proactively broadcasting public interest (?) advertisements boldly claiming that the University supports FREE SPEECH 100% !! Hence … the radical leftist, Islamist, squatters are going to remain on campus.
However … if a Pro Life group were to protest against coeds getting abortions … you can bet with 100% certainty that this same Chancellor would remove them from campus … for “security” reasons … because the ANTIFA counter protestors would go ape shit violent.
At our Universities … Free Speech is a one lane road … the Far Left lane.
Doesn’t Columbia have an enrollment around 36,000. Can anyone hazard a guess as to how many actual students and faculty participated in the encampment, the occupation of Humboldt Hall, and the harassment of others? Are we assuming all Columbia students are on board with the pro Hamass agenda. Not defending the law school, I believe their student officials made some pretty stupid pronouncements. I don’t have a dog in this hunt, just wondered what the facts are.
I read that tuition was $70K a year. If true, an enrolment of 36,000 students is pretty serious money. How is society enriched by that spend? Not much is my guess.
They think their masks will protect them from being ID’d. They are horribly mistaken. I believe Kevin O’leary’s opinion on this is likely the correct one. Background checks these days can find them and their resumes will go in the ‘do not hire’ pile.
