A memory hole gem

Who remembers glowing accounts like these in the left-wing corporate media in the early days of the pandemic?

Australia has become a pandemic success story. The nation of 26 million is close to eliminating community transmission of the coronavirus, having defeated a second wave just as infections surge again in Europe and the United States.

“I never thought we would really get to zero, which is amazing,” said Sharon Lewin, the Melbourne-based director of the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, which provided forecasts in February that formed the basis of the Australian government’s response. “I’ve been going out nonstop, booking restaurants, shopping, getting my nails done and my hair cut.”

  1. Every single graph wuflu graph looks the same for every jurisdiction no matter what measures are taken. The virus does what it does and nothing will stop it.

    1. Farr’s Law is the determinant. And governments have used it to pretend their stringency measures had an effect on the spread. They simply looked at the bell curve and in virtually ALL cases, implemented lockdowns, etc., at the peak….and nature did the rest.

    2. Certainly, not the NOT A VACCINE. Clearly, despite the lies, deception, and mistruths of the Fascist government/media complex.

Virus gonna virus, except for those with Natural Immunity (AHEM!)

“…The virus does what it does and nothing will stop it…”

As has every version of seasonal flu since mankind walked upright.

99.5% survive said virus… sans Vaxx

40-50% of the Psy-Op conned population who’ve imbibed in this century’s version of Zyklon B in a Syringe (La vaxx), have minor to Death dealing severe reactions….along with shedding spike protein on a daily basis…

But I & the Wife who are pure bloods are the issue eh..??
      Ok then….

Some critical thinking + Vitamin D 5-6000 IU daily is all it took…

      1. Just make sure you are taking/ getting enough Vitamin K to wash down that Vitamin D or you’ll be making trouble for your heart in the future.
        Also dont forget Zinc

  2. The only pandemic success story was Sweden. They just went about their business. Ya, the same Swedes we mock for being pussies.

    1. The response to covid was way worse than the disease itself. Once that stopped then the pandemic ended.

      1. I recently said that to my brother in law who was a total covid freak, to the point where him and his wife got custom masks made and wiped their groceries down with Lysol for a year, and he agreed with me. As the old saying goes ‘people go mad in droves and come to their senses one at a time’.

  3. its not a rate time function, its a rate/cum an old reservoir engineering method when the well is constantly being interfered with. oh yeah, goes to the same endpoint no matter what

  4. An interesting fact for you……Since January 1, 2022 (the Omicron peak), the COVID deaths per million in New Zealand is HIGHER than those in Alberta for the same period. And Alberta is lower than the Canadian average for that period. Quebec is by far the highest. Only B.C. and PEI have a lower death rate per million in that period. AND, if you look at the B.C. numbers, it is clear they are fudging them because when you look at the COVID deaths along with the EXCESS deaths in the province, you find that the total of excess deaths plus COVID deaths in B.C. is virtually identical to the sum of excess deaths and COVID deaths in Alberta.

    1. Now do Canada vs the US and you’ll find the same damn thing. Nothing that was done prevented a single death. The pandemic measures caused death and misery and boomers want them back.

      1. I’ve been saying that for at least a year. They can’t prove a single life was saved with all the bullshit actions they took and probably killed a lot of people.

    2. I live in BC and wife and I have been pouring over the numbers since day … well… two! It’s all BS now. They made sure no reasonable conclusion will come from published data. Well done, folks!

  5. Now we have liars claiming that “reducing transmission was never an objective”.

    1. Yup….that despite that bitch Rochelle Walensky from the CDC saying in no uncertain terms that the vaccinated could not spread the virus.

  6. I still think Vietnam was interesting. It was the only Asian country to actually improve their economy during the pandemic. Early on, they had barely any exposure to speak about despite their proximity to very high exposure entities. BUT, then they mandated vaccines, and in the weeks following that roll out the pandemic really did some damage in that country.

    1. Yep, was is and will continue to be. Sadly millions took experimental gene therapy shots that will cause far more damage in the coming years.

  7. Ah yes, Net Zero, for viruses and global temperatures.

Actually, just for you rubes soon to be serfs. You will own zero and be thankful.

  8. Perhaps most important, though, leaders from across the ideological spectrum persuaded Australians to take the pandemic seriously early on and prepared them to give up civil liberties they had never lost before, even during two world wars.

Yeah … I saw Australian police brutalizing quite a few Australians who objected to having their God-given “civil” liberties stolen from them …

  9. Here in Oz, most people now just want to forget about the whole covid debacle . Many realise they have been had but won’t admit it.
That suits the predatory class (political/media/bureaucracy) who want to bury the data showing how they are responsible for the biggest public health disaster in the country’s history.
