  1. There is no good news in Canada. Trudeau and the cadre of communists continue to work at destroying what little freedom we may have left. Got your phone app so you can enter Canada? Has anyone stopped forcing illegal experimental shots? Has gas become the new gold? Who can afford a home in the north? There is no good news.

    1. Are we beginning to reach a tipping point in Canada? Is the Liberal woke agenda in trouble?

Yes, we are beginning to reach a tipping point. Yes, the Liberal woke agenda is in trouble.

Be patient. Just give the Liberals enough rope. They are doing a great job of hanging themselves.

Canada is usually 4 years behind the US in the pop culture to political culture trend.

      The pendulum is swinging back.

      1. ‘The pendulum is swinging back.’

Hmmm … you talking this country?

Most of the women love the idiot in charge, most of the recent immigrants positively worship the idiot.
Most of the freeloaders can’t get enough of the idiot.
The media cartel is running interference for the idiot when ever he needs it, he pays them for it.

        Who’re you speaking off?

        1. yep.
Jim is describing the Wishful Thinking Party,
Vito is describing The Off The Cliff Party, formerly The Brick Wall Party (they hit the wall so hard they smashed thru it)

      2. Jim – this fairly neutral article from the Washington Post is positive:

Canadian Conservatives feel they’ve found the candidate to beat Trudeau

“In Canada, it’s often treated as a fact of life that political parties will be unimpressive and unambitious, and that Canadians, when they vote at all, will do so more out of rote partisan loyalty than any conviction they’re actually affecting the course of their country. To Conservatives filling his rallies, casting a ballot for Poilievre is a vote to snap out of this cycle, and thus the most exciting vote they’ve cast in years.”

        1. Old Indian trick.

A little fake faint fairness makes the coming gang rape look a little less premeditated.

  2. The words TOO LATE come to mind as prices sky rocket to the moon as everyone wants a little more economic nibble at my money honey.
    Better than being queer dear.
The next insanity comes as bankruptcy soars and any co-signers are being sought after from the banks…
A contract is a contract even though it may have been more than you could remember signing one.
I learned from the In-laws that the banks don’t need to contact all parties involved renegotiating mortgages when your permission is already signed away.

  3. Good on the USA. Canada just keeps chuggin’ along to totalitarianism. Had some neighbours who tried to imply that Canadians were just like Americans it’s just that we live a little further up North. I was having none of it…”Oh please, don’t flatter yourself, you’re as dull as day old dishwater and you wouldn’t know freedoms and liberties if it smacked you upside your head.”
    Silence.
Feeling cranky today, hope it doesn’t show.

  4. I kind of laugh when I see people flocking to Pollievre’s rallies because while PP may be a great guy there is nothing left to conserve in canuckistan. It is at the stage where the Veterinarian asks: do you want to shoot it or do you want me to put it down? At this point canuckistan can’t help but turn into a smoldering ruin. Did have a bit of conversation with my wife’s family recently regarding the fact that canuckistan hardly has any real economy left. The difference between real and fake jobs. They both work for government but was worried about their kids that recently became homeowners for the first time.

    1. Regarding Poilievre, he was generally silent for 2 years of Charter shredding “pandemic” mandates, edicts, policies. Not a week after the truckers protest was subdued by the most egregious violation of civil liberties the country had ever seen, and he was still prattling on about affordable housing. I was stunned by that. In my opinion, everything else is secondary when your freedom is being stripped away before your very eyes.

Max, the PPC, and a small handful of other provincial politicians scattered throughout the country were the only ones consistently critical of this from the beginning.

      1. Very true Mark V. I’ve heard as well that John Baird is working with Pollievre in some capacity I’m just not sure what it is…now I don’t have a problem with Baird perse but can we just wipe the damn slate clean and start fresh without these holdovers from yesteryear tagging along?

  5. I have a colleague who says he would never vote Conservative because they are “dominated by the religious right”. Uses Preston Manning as an example.

Very next conversation, he can’t believe how much housing costs in Canada, how can anybody afford one, the price of gas and cost of utilities is OMG, our healthcare system sucks, he’ll never be able to retire, etc. etc..

He manages our IT department and is one of the most logical people I know, except for his political beliefs.

Like the guy from Toronto on CanadianGunNutz complaining about the new gun ban and someone comments “who did you vote for” and he replies “you can’t vote Conservative, they don’t care about the environment”.

Hopefully the 2020’s will be a wake-up call for a lot of Canadians, they truly need to be starving and freezing to see the light.

    1. Try to explain the concept of cause and effect to him.
Ask him why he can’t grasp the concept.

    2. The mindless mushy middle are motivated by superficial stimuli such as in-crowd attachment, peer pressure, go-along-to-get-along, vacuous acceptance of media propaganda, fashion following, incuriosity, as well as suffering from life-skill (literacy and numeracy) deficiency, and lack of critical thinking. This politically significant demographic and the schoolyard battle for their vote is what drives and corrupts politics, eventually leading to end-state democracy.

    3. He manages our IT department

The tech field is unthinkingly, reflexively leftist.

      1. perhaps one of the characters in the Dilbert cartoon. l had a boss actually reminded me of Dilbert’s boss, right down to a physical resemblance. that was the year l walked away from (factoring inflation) 70K/yr , went into self employed contract programming, desktop support etc and did another 10 years of it.

  6. Do you think that if Kenny or Moe had been PM they would have done anything different??
    I don’t.
Can you think of one “conservative leader” that didn’t disappoint.
    I can’t.
    Time for radical change.
    Free the West.
