Something truly extraordinary happened in Ottawa sometime Saturday afternoon. In the morning, when Viva Frei walked past the National War Memorial, the disgraceful fence around it was clearly in place. But then later in the day, this video appeared in my feed:
I was listening to the retired veteran and then suddenly realized, “Wait a minute, he is standing RIGHT BESIDE the memorial. Where is the fence? Was this an old video, only published today?
I did a little sleuthing and found this:

Of course, Global News, being the loathsome individuals they are, had to disrespect the veterans – and they damn well knew these folks were veterans – by adding the tag line: “Protesters from the so-called “freedom convoy” in Ottawa have torn down a fence that had been put around the National War Memorial to protect it from further desecration.” In the same way that these media elitists have taken for granted Canadian truckers & farmers, is there any doubt that they place military veterans in the same bucket labeled “Deplorables who were too stupid to get into McGill, the U of T, or Ryerson” like me & all of my enlightened friends did?
You can watch in real time as the Fake News Machine spins this event in the most negative possible way to hurt the Freedom Protest. Does any member of the legacy media really still wonder why everyone rightfully hates them?
The National War Memorial was placed there to honour these Canadian veterans who removed the disgraceful fencing today, and even more so their buddies who gave the ultimate sacrifice. The fencing wasn’t placed there to “protect it from future desecration”. It was added as a “prop” to cast aspersion on tens of thousands of freedom protesters in Ottawa, and millions nationally. Anything to keep propping up The Narrative™.
One has to believe that these same veterans will be guarding the memorial in shifts 24/7 until this thing is over. Will the legacy media be sending soy boys over to scold these veterans for unlawfully removing the fence? Will the OPP be sending out petite policewomen to hand the veterans notes about how to correctly conduct themselves in a protest? Will Peter Sloly and Diana Deans be sending heavily armed shock troops against them?!?
Finally, as you’ll see in the bottom video, the problem is not with the vast majority of frontline police officers. It’s with their incompetent, power hungry “leaders”, who are taking orders from the politicians, who are taking orders from . . . we’re not entirely sure but we can certainly guess.

Conversely, last night’s national CTV News broadcast w/ CTV News with Sandie Rinaldo suggested otherwise, completely lying to the Canadian public (@ 4:30) stating “The War Memorial, dedicated to Canada’s war dead, treated with disrespect again”.
What is the Canadian media’s definition of respect? Why are they blatantly lying to the Canadian public?
CTVNews 11pm went even further, they called it ‘desecration’.

A rare thing, I captured a photo of my computer today, it happened to be the very moment Viva noticed that the fence was gone in front of the National War Memorial, he looked into his phone and smiled. A few days ago when he went by it and noticed the fence, he remarked how wrong it was to be up there. Another time when he went by, before the fence went up, I believe, he stopped and paused and with his face off camera, one could hear him crying softly. He’s a Gemini, a very loving, sensitive, and kind man who has a fabulous soul.
The overly paid bullies of the legacy Media are jerks that have no shame. It is truly disgusting how they continually spin their lies.

I’ve continued monitoring the legacy media reports on this and they have not grown at this time. Even the dumbest members of these organizations realize that reporting negatively against ACTUAL members of Canadian veterans is unwise at best.

I’m a deplorable, got into Ryerson coz my dad a WW2 vet passed away, the VA provided children tuition and living allowance benefit subsidy. The instructors were all solid folk, alot immigrants, UK, Europe, Asia. As were the students, Africa too.

I almost shat myself this morning when, against my better judgement, I turned on CBC radio and heard them report on the war-memorial fence in a straightforward, honest way.
The reporter made it very clear that the people who removed it were not desecrating it, but that they wanted to honor it peacefully, and they were guarding the memorial it to make sure nothing happened. It almost sounded like she admired what they had done.
She then went on to describe the protests in Windsor and Ottawa in a way that sounded almost sympathetic with the protesters. I hope Justin wasn’t listening or his people will be making calls and she’ll soon be looking for work.
Still… when you’ve lost the CBC…
That person and their producer have no doubt been sent to CBC re-education camp, or summarily dismissed.

Interesting, Ian. Honestly though, I really care what the majority thinks. Even I was quintuple vacccinated, I still would not take the stance that anyone should be othered/coerced into taking a vaccine.
There is one obvious caveat to my stance: If there was an Ebola-like outbreak with a 50% fatality rate AND there was a vaccine that prevented the deaths AND prevented the spread, then I would agree that vaccines should be mandatory. For those who don’t write software code, please note that I included two “AND” instances. This is because I would not support mandatory vaccines UNLESS they prevented transmission (and thus high risk) to others.
