The trucker yelling and swearing at a CBC reporter is not doing the movement any favours. If you want a dialogue with Trudeau or any politician then you need to show poise and some basic manners. This will just reinforce the image that a lot of the protesters are hateful and dangerous. By the way using the word Indian on this site for indigenous people is insulting.

BTW, living in the UK, If I use the term Indian then people assume meaning from India, If I use indigenous then they are either confused or thinking aboriginal (e.g. austrialian). The terms often used in the UK for canadian natives is either red indian (this is what Indians use the most) or native american (from white british), neither of which are acceptable in Canada.

I support the movement but I am frustrated when I see people acting in a way that support the narrative put forth by the government and the mainstream media. From what I saw the CBC reporter was ver calm and respectfulnand was just asking the guy what he thinks about the comments made by the police. There was no need at all to take such an aggressive tone and then swear at the reporter. Thats their job and its going to be used to make truckers look like crazy hateful lunatics. I also know from people living in Ottawa that there have been some assinine things done to people such as ripping their masks off and swearing\yelling at people for little reason. I think the vast majority of the protesters are great but there seems to be enough that are loose cannons and they will end up being a huge liability.
I have heard the term Indian used here at least a few times and its clearly not a term indigenous or First Nations people see as respectful. You guys need to be more careful with stuff like this or you will end up with more Canadians eventually opposing this protest.

I am writing as a response to your request earlier today (Feb 9/22) that we voice concerns we have about the safety or maltreatment of children or youth in Ottawa.
There is a family with 3 children of whom I am aware whose parents have exposed them to invasion of privacy, ridicule and even racist behaviour. One well-documented incident of this was forcing them to dress in culturally appropriated and notably inappropriate costumes, motivated by these parents’ selfish desire for ostentatious public display and media coverage while on a trip to India in 2018.
These children live at 24 Sussex Drive in Ottawa. The immaturity and obvious mental instability of their father has the potential for on-going mistreatment of these children. For this reason I am very concerned about the mental heath and safety of these children, and I request that you take action, including seizing these children and reporting their parents to Child Protective Services.
The Liberal run government considers children to be the property of the state. They alone are to determine how the child is to be raised and educated, and if need be, treated with hormones to undergo a gender transition.
