A retired Canadian soldier shares his heartfelt perspective. A computer technician shows that he has more wisdom and knowledge than 99% of MPs. Viva’s predictions of Trudeau’s exit plan. A Turkemnistan man’s unique insight into what the Canadian authorities are now doing. And a beautiful Canadian family with 5 children.
To his credit, he calmly and politely tried to engage with the counterprotesters. Here are their thoughts.
“The Counterprotesters – You appreciate the ideology that they believe in the government. They trust the government and they think the government should have carte blanche to dictate what you can and cannot do and what you must or must not do with your own body. And to have that view, in my humble opinion, requires having a very myopic view of history. It involves not understanding history. It involves being naively optimistic; when you have a propensity to allow people to lead you and not taking your own initiative. It’s a bizarre thing. The “counter protesters” are truly crazy listening to their interviews.
To his credit? Why engage with the pathetic “counter-protestors?”
They are seeing their privileges stripped from them before their eyes, and screaming and crying like toddlers. The truckers ignored them, because that’s how sensible adults respond to tantrums.
No. The days when they got something for nothing are over. God willing they’ll end their days in a farming community at least 100 kilometers from Ottawa, doing the back-breaking farm work they claim white people won’t do.
No more designer bubble tea. They’ll eat what their employers think they deserve to eat.
No more Instragrammable condos in Centretown paid for by the Bank of Mom and Dad. They’ll sleep with the pigs.
The farmers’ children will go to the city in their place, to become engineers, doctors, lawyers and statesmen. They will be pleased to live in a safe, clean, affordable, prosperous city purged of its riffraff.
Ottawa is, for all its faults, a great city built by working men and women. They are taking their city back. It’s the parasites who won’t be staying much longer.
To live in our fair city is a privilege. It must be earned. Our “elites” have earned nothing, unless you count the contempt of all decent people.
My Dear Awful, I must disagree.
A lot of these progressive types grow up and live in a complete bubble, never to hear an opposing idea. Never to hear anything about conservatives, except that conservatives are monsters and responsible for all evil in the world. And I am not exaggerating. I know a womyn who wouldn’t even let her children say “gun”. (They call it the “G-word”). Being exposed to alternate ideas is what pops that bubble. It doesnt work on everybody, and it can take a long time, but it will happen.
And nobody is eating blue pills. Its just a matter of time. While I share you sentiment when it comes to the sociopaths, there are many many progressives who are merely indoctrinated.
I understand your point of view but I disagree. Here’s why: Justin Trudeau, Chrystia Freeland, and most every other politician in Canada is refusing to talk with the truckers … at least publicly. This is a terrible, terrible thing for them to do. Engaging in a dialogue with those we disagree with is necessary to move forward. The DIFFERENCE now is that we must refuse to back down or apologize for our convictions.
Ultimately there are gaping holes of logical continuity in the “official” narrative, which is all these counterprotestors know how to parrot. You are correct that their privileges have been stripped from them before their eyes. Will these privileges be restored at the point of a gun … against us? I certainly hope not. We are better than Trudeau and Freeland and must try to prove it every day.
But, like you, I will not engage in a conversation with any new person who is incapable of sticking to facts and logic and runs their entire mouth off based on emotion.
No. I am not interested in a dialogue with Trudeau and Freeland.
They need to cease resistance, understanding that they will get a fair trial by a jury of their peers, and if convicted, they will face whatever consequences the jury deems appropriate. It took the Romanians a matter of hours.
We, the Canadian people, need to have a dialogue on what replaces the Líbranos. Trudeau and Freeland have nothing to contribute to that dialogue. They need to be put out of the way.

I loved how Viva couldn’t take 20 steps without being recognized\greeted. “Hey Viva!” And many were native Ottawa people.
I had no idea there were so many like minded in this city. Ottawa can often feel like the Karen capital of the world.
There was so much love and affection for Viva every time he ventured out on one of his walks around Ottawa. Amongst the counterprotesters … not a whole lot of love.

Viva implies his perspectives have broadened in the past two years and does not think the sentiments of the protesters are informed with much historical understanding or wisdom.
From my perspective, growing up in the dying days of the Cold War, I recollect that the idea that the government could trample upon personal freedoms and its subjects would embrace their subjugation was the very same dystopic vision that we as a western society were supposed to be fighting. Even the Vietnam protestors in the US that Trudeau welcomed into the country as citizens believed in that fight.
Where these new, totalitarian ideas have come from I don’t know. I’m feeling as though we didn’t win the Cold War. How could this have happened?

Though I was raised as a city boy in Vancouver, I spent the first two years of my career in Lynn Lake, MB. It was typically -30°C to -40°C for several months each winter. The coldest I ever personally experienced was -50°C standing on a frozen lake. I had on a balaclava, a thick toque, several layers top & bottom, 2 pairs of socks, and those tall white snow boots. That was a beautiful day!

We were in DT Victoria today at the parliament buildings for the drive by demonstrations. There was about 2,000 people there, give or take, and it was LOUD.
Not so many trucks as last weekend, but the enthusiasm and convivial atmosphere made up for it. There is definitely an awakening of the Normies, those that NEVER protest and mind their own business everyday of their lives. Be quiet no more!
Kitty corner to the wild enthusiasm and flag waving, were the pro-vaxx crowd of about a dozen, surrounded by cops. They looked gobsmacked by our loud and proud crowd.
They suffer from complete cognitive dissonance, as their messages are bereft of reality, still bitterly clinging to their slogans.
This eclipses the massive protests over the Layton/Dion “minority coalition” with the separatists to remove a government ten seats short of a majority. They also had to back down after Harper prorogued Parliament to short circuit the sorry seditious soap opera.
How will Canadians react to truckers being attacked by police? Why is this different from the Occupy Ottawa one month squat?
Or the PLO supported riots where 99 people were arrested? Or burning churches, condemned by Natives, “understood” by Trudeau?
The only difference is the political persuasion of the protesters and the fascists of statism and media support of fellow totalitarians.
Will we see the hypocrisy and danger to all of us? Or will we continue with the hostage taking and our sheeple Stockholm Syndrome?
Trudeau has done a tremendous job of uniting Canadians.

Was out on one of the Hwy 1 overpasses in Surrey with my son and hundreds of others this morning. I could see in the distance the overpasses to the East & West were packed and resplendent with flags. By about 11 A.M the Freedom Convoy stretched as far as the eye could see to the East, likely as far as Langley. That would mean it stretched around 50 Kilometers to downtown Vancouver by that point. Easily over a thousand vehicles honking with flag waving occupants. Taped three of the local 6 O’clock Gaslighting-casts none of them portrayed the magnitude of the turnout. If they would have shown a traffic chopper view it would have shocked a few folks out of their stupors. I’m going to let some of their advertisers know what poor value they are receiving for their dollar heh heh.
My kids commented how sickly the fascist projectionists appeared compared to the robust looking & upbeat convoy participants. It’s pretty much class warfare at this point. Normal law abiding working folks vs smug urban Marxerals and their basement dwelling brats.

Was this truck convoy visible on BC traffic cameras? When BC convoy left from Kitimat picking up trucks along the way, seemed to be almost not traffic on various traffic cameras that I checked from BC_AB border W using option to see whole days traffic.
That’s seems to be a downtown affectation. The closer you get to institutions of higher learning ;-). They should call City TV News “Amateur Hour”. Appalling.
