The NY Times Finally Allows a Small Glimpse of the Truth to be Seen

On his Substack this morning, independent journalist Alex Berenson revealed something interesting: The New York Times is finally coming to grips with the truth about Covid:

There is obviously some distressing news in these comparisons. For older people — especially the very old, as well as those with serious health conditions — vaccination does not reduce the risk of Covid hospitalization or death to near zero. That’s different from what the initial vaccine data suggested.

To be clear, getting vaccinated is still the best thing that an elderly person can do. In terms of risk reduction, a vaccine is more valuable for an older adult than a younger adult. Just compare the size of the bars in the above charts. Still, the Covid risks remain real for vaccinated elderly people.

For children without a serious medical condition, the danger of severe Covid is so low as to be difficult to quantify. For children with such a condition, the danger is higher but still lower than many people believe. The risk of long Covid among children — a source of fear among many parents — also appears to be very low.

All of which raises a thorny question: Should young children be vaccinated? I know some readers will recoil at the mention of that question, but I think it’s a mistake to treat it as unmentionable. There is not the scientific consensus about vaccinating children that there is about adults. It remains unclear how many countries will recommend the vaccine for young children. In the U.S., many vaccinated parents have decided not to vaccinate their eligible children yet.

  1. Funny how today’s conspiracy always becomes tomorrow’s truth.

To quote a certain Bard “methinks thou dost protest to much” seems to apply to all our so called authorities who keep denying that the COVID immunity shots don’t have some consequences

  2. NYT, say hello to the woke mob.

Legacy and social media have invested far too much in pushing the ‘Fauci Narrative’ to chance letting ideas like these flourish. In Biden’s censored America, this will most definitely not be allowed to continue. If how concerned, free-thinking parents are treated is any indication, the next story we read on this might be about the FBI paying a friendly visit to the NYT…. past loyalties be damned.

  3. There. I fixed it for you.

“In the U.S., many vaccinated parents have decided not to vaccinate their eligible children yet.” And will be dealt with.

  4. People have been trained to filter out everything that is outside of their confirmation bias so now it’s “smart” to simultaneously hold contradictory opinions. It doesn’t matter if you contradict yourself in print or even recorded video – you can appeal to everyone and always be on the right side! Let their own cognitive dissonance explain away the contradictions.

  5. A Small glimpse….?? more like a nanoseconds’ lapse of Leftist madness….foggy clarity.

This goof still thinks vaccinating a population that was likely to be more than 80% IMMUNE prior to said original virus was let out…is still the way to go. Guess he’s also incapable of understanding VAERS – EUDRA stats

    A virus with a 99.54% survival rate.

A virus that ran “rampant” thru 2 Quarantined ships at sea (~9850 Passengers, Crew) and 15 out of that crowd died. 14 on the Cruise ship filled at that time of the year, predominately by the Elderly. A .0015% Death Rate.

    Hardly a Black Death/Bubonic Plague/Spanish Flu.

And he’s wondering if we should vax the kids with this shit…??

    That’s IMO, attempted Genocide….

Fk the NYT…& all MSM-Big Tech

        1. Steakman: to convert to a percentage, you have to multiply by 100:

15/9570 = .001567 approx. (the ratio expressed as a decimal)
          .001567 x 100 = 0.1567% (decimal expressed out of 100, rather than “15 out of 9,570”).

          1. MINUTIA…..LOL.
Bottom line is that said amount is infinitesimally TINY for a supposed DEADLY virus.

            But you’re right… I sit corrected.

    1. The Mennonites still gather every Sunday, unmasked and in large groups. Those who are ill still attend. So far, no arrests or church seizures have taken place.
Only Pastor Pawsloski’s church in Calgary and River of Life in Spruce Grove are persecuted.

  6. “It remains unclear how many countries will recommend the vaccine for young children.”

Canada almost certainly will, and within days you’ll see schools from one end of the country to the other mandate the shots or kick the kid out of school, and it wouldn’t shock me to see accusations of “unfit parents” start flying around for the refuseniks. A few high profile visits from child welfare departments to homes will be performed to scare holdouts into submission, along with supporting news pieces in CBC, CTV et al.

Does anyone seriously believe it will go down any other way?

    1. I know it will go that way. It will take the deaths of lots of children to change anyone’s minds. The juggernaut will not be stopped.

  7. Putting Pfizer concoction into the arms of children should be considered a crime.
    End of story.
    Period.

  8. A handy guide for doctors on how to make soothing bullshit noises when confronted by anyone with a brain:

    https://www.vhguide.ca

“This Guide supports better clinical conversations about vaccines. It differentiates common types of vaccine hesitancy that primary care clinicians may see. Browse through these types to help identify the sources of your patients’ hesitancy, and find advice and resources on how to address them.”

A veritable haystack of strawmen complete with sales techniques on how to manipulate the truth.

Complete with links to the WHO site on vaccine safety, dated March 2021!

    1. Wow how condescending. When they ask me why I don’t want the vax I say because I am scientist and I examined the science. They usually slink away and leave me alone.

  9. I don’t need the NYT to tell me squat about covid. I knew it was a farce from the get go. Stupid people told me I was wrong, well stupid, how do ya’ll feel now?

    1. And why should that EVEN Be an Issue..??
      For a virus with a 99.54% Survivability..??
      Spare me pls

And so tell us. Are you one who would willingly vaxxinate your own kids with this non bilogical Zyklon B SHIT..?? Just so you Stay “clean”

    2. It is a sign of a sick society who sacrifice children for the comfort of the old.

The risk is low. Older people can get vaccinated. Or if they honestly can’t live with the risk, avoid kids?

That seems better than the possibility of heart problems in children who won’t get sick from the virus but will from the vaccine.

  10. Anyone else notice that the National Post no longer has a COVID news section and now has a post pandemic section?

  11. l say it again, lm 70 yrs old with an immune system made of titanium because of this:
    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2095254618301005#!

but but but thanks to officialdom l did not set foot in the local gym for over a *^$#^$%&$^ FCUKING year.
THE *ONE THING l KNOW WHY I HAVE N-E-V-E-R HAD THE FLU REAL BAD* and cant remember when l so much as had a bad cold.

goddamn &^$&#^&$&%$@!&$# ‘experts’. or is that ex-spurts? (a veiled reference to the mating process)

p.s. yesterday l did 700 hyperextensions aka ‘backward sit ups’ pretty much non-stop. see what l mean?

    1. But but but!!!
….. improving one’s lung capacity and triggering the body’s natural ability to grow new capillaries to feed muscle, and adapt it’s cardiovascular system to cope with increased workload and output absolutely has nothing to do with surviving pneumonia, sepsis or any other health condition. It’s not like these conditions place an increased demand on these body systems at all.
Now go get your clot shot you bad boy!

    2. I’m just 68 years old and working an 80 hour week, as I have done without holidays for 45 years. Never been in a gym in my life.
Seems to work too. I haven’t bothered with a vaccination for a mild flu of any sort. But I still get a tetanus booster when I encounter rusty barbed wire.

  12. Thinking about barbed wire:
Two cowboys, one from Alberta and one from Toronto (sure there are Toronto cowboys) are riding their horses when they come across a sheep with it’s head stuck in a barbed wire fence. The Cowboy from Alberta gets off his horse, gets behind the sheep and just goes to town. When he finishes he jumps back on his horse and asks the cowboy from Toronto “You want some of that?” The Cowboy from Toronto says “You bet I do. But how do I get my head stuck in the fence like that?”
