The world sucks right now, and immunity to coronaviruses has been shown to be short lived in studies of the common cold done prior to this pandemic.
Way back in March of 2020 … I read several articles that explained Corona viruses were particularly difficult to vaccinate against, and that we have had only been partially successful in the past. The articles claimed Trump was way out over his skis in predicting a successful Coronavirus vaccine in record time.
Despite the politics of the articles … they presented the simple truth that Coronaviruses were uniquely troublesome organisms. I expressed doubt we would create a successful vaccine. Well … I may want to retract that Crow I ate when the vaccine was declared a “success”

Sad for the family. I am refusing the vaccine but take reasonable care without altering my life too much. For example I just returned from a week in Brazil. I tested negative both before and after. The 8 hour flights were full. I’m not worried enough to not fly, at least to places like Brazil. An added bonus: The crazy types who make the news on domestic flights don’t fly to Brazil. Everybody was very well behaved and mostly wanted to sleep.
Too bad the tests are meaningless. I am not worried at all. I just no longer fly.
