Some Uncomfortable Facts

Last night, a longtime friend in Vancouver sent me a news article that 24 more people in British Columbia died from Covid. I scanned through it. Once again, there was no mention of the ages or health conditions of these people who passed away. Are we 100% certain that each of them actually died from Covid or merely that they died and had the virus (or remnants of it) in their system?

I looked up the deaths in British Columbia in 2018-2019: 38,471.  38,471 / 365 = 105.4.  There is sadness around every person who passes away, especially for their loved ones.  But where did this narrative begin that no one should be dying any longer?  The media’s “Project Fear” is doing its job … and making more than a few people more than a little insane.

Here’s some truth the media doesn’t want you to hear:

  1. Why aren’t the funeral homes swamped?
Why aren’t the obituary pages in the newspaper five times as large as they used to be?

In typically stupid liberal fashion only one side of the equation is examined.
How many die because of the lockdowns?

    1. Same with the ER..
In WA state, we usually run at about 89% all the time. Before CV.
So when the news goes 90% I laugh. That’s the kind of numbers we see on holidays and some weekends. Mostly drunks and drugs.

    2. I’m still puzzled by how they can tell asymptomatic cases (no symptoms, but presumably they’s tested positive because without symptoms how else could they tell?,) from “false positives” (which presumably have been tested or they couldn’t have positive result to label false,) in people who have no symptoms because they aren’t sick. Did they already explain this but I missed it, or am I the only one not intelligent enough to see the emperor’s new clothes?

      1. No, there are a few more of us but there are far more idiots in Canada than sane people. I have been using the net to vent but all I am doing is irritating myself because the stupid people continue to spout their drivel . Doug the ford was or maybe still is on tv telling us his words of wisdom. The man is so stupid I wonder how he can breathe. I have forced my wife to either wear headphones or mute the tv, I can no longer stand the stupid.

      2. The tests aren’t testing for the virus, but strands of RNA that occur in the virus, and could occur anywhere else too. And the PCR test is nto a diagnostic tool and they abuse the test. So, for all we know, and the “experts” I suspect, too, they could be detecting colds and rgular flu or just garbage.

I say if you aren’t ill, you don’t have the “disease” and you are not a “case”.

Also, why are they closing bars, restaurants and sports when clearly, the vast majority of deaths occur in people who never visit such places? And why are we having a second wave when we are all wearing masks and being locked down. I await the “third wave”.

I am tired of the incompetence and lies.

“Why aren’t the funeral homes swamped?”

exactly. how many of these covid1984 deaths
      were confirmed by autopsy?

i bet the number is close to zero.

guess what… old sick people die. every year.
      from the flu.

and sometimes young people do… for no
reason. during the pfizer vaccine trials
6 people died… 4 of them after taking
      the placebo vaccine
      .

shit happens. and for the record i’m not
tripping over bodies where we live
      (southeastern ontario).

as pj o’rourke once said… “show me the
      logic AND the lab equipment.”

      1. There’s a funeral home or two on the route to the hospital I go to in SW Calgary. You can’t miss them. Both places have been like “the morgue” the whole time (9 months). Not a vehicle in the lot at anytime and no smoking chimney. Not like satellite shots of Chinah in January/February…”hot spots from space” from the 24 hour operations of burning bodies.
By the way, the hospitals here are dead, too. I go monthly. I even had surgery myself. We’ve got 8600 beds in four hospitals here, what’s the bed count toady? A total of 763, with ICU 138 ….normal. If the ICU’s are loaded, since when are they not? https://www.alberta.ca/stats/covid-19-alberta-statistics.htm
Average age at death is still 82.

  2. That is a very powerful and convincing video from Dr. Pierre Kory. The existing drug he refers to as having such amazing results in preventing and treating the China virus is “ivermectin”:

“Ivermectin was discovered in 1975 and came into medical use in 1981.[9][10] It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines.[11] Ivermectin is an FDA-approved anti-parasitic agent.[12]”

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivermectin

    1. There is an interesting article at the link below which provides important background on how Dr. Kory and his group (the FLCCC Aliance) have been blacklisted by the mainstream media and the social media giants.

“The FLCCC Alliance has been blocked in attempts to disseminate scientific information about Ivermectin on Facebook and other social media with the FLCCC’s pages repeatedly being shut down. Furthermore, after the group’s December 4, 2020 press conference in Houston, no major
U.S. media outlets reported the FLCCC’s pleas for help from the federal government to act in order to bring this pandemic to an end. Nor did any representative from the CDC, the NIH or the World Health organization contact them.”

      https://www.newswise.com/coronavirus/dr-pierre-kory-president-of-the-flccc-alliance-testifies-before-senate-committee-on-homeland-security-and-governmental-affairs-looking-into-early-outpatient-covid-19-treatment

      1. Would the Ivermectin Protocol also fight or kill a regular flu or even a common cold virus?

Billions of dollars of ANNUAL vaccine sales at risk?

        Is that the real fight?

    2. So say the patient has worms … and use it
Got a jug for cattle deworming. Get it almost anywhere. Spill in on myself once a year.
Fido’s worm pills have it (haven’t tasted those).

      1. you can buy it from any pigeon, chicken supply….and it’s so dangerous they give it to birds

    3. I ran into my old vet the other day. I asked him about Ivomec (Ivermectin) as its known in the livestock industry. They’ve used it for decades. It’s a very safe drug. We laughed about it now being used in humans for Covid19. There’s not a rancher who hasn’t had it spill on him at some point while applying it to cattle – especially in the early days. It’s used to control parasites.

So I asked him, should I just pour a glass and drink it? He said that wouldn’t be the best idea, said probably the pill form they use for dogs might be better.

      1. abtrapper, the cattle version is pour on (along spine), the sheep/goat version is oral

there is also a human pill version (lice I believe)

    4. “It is on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines”

So is hydrochloroquine which was labeled one of the safest drugs until doctors decided to overdose people in Covid trials.

  3. This whole thing has been a worldwide exercise in How To Lie With Statistics.

24 people died from COVID?? Okay, for the sake of argument let’s take it for granted that all of these people would have lived on for years had they not contracted Chinese Lung AIDS (a wholly ridiculous assumption, but let’s give the paranoids all the rope they need to hang themselves)

How many people normally die in a day in BC? In December, divided by 30? How many die from heart disease, vehicle accidents, stroke?

“24 people died in a day from COVID” is a meaningless statistic.

    1. For anyone interested in numbers of deaths, 54 million plus have died so far this year, last year, 56 million plus died last year, so we are experiencing a normal mortality rate world wide and the whu, freaking, who flu, has not changed it one damn bit. Stupid people will continue to do stupid things and believe whatever idiocy is shoved in their face. and as the world wide population continues to grow so will the mortality rate. I can’t be the only person in Canada who understands that we are being screwed.

  4. In B.C. we have Bolshevik Bonnie spouting the commie party line daily. If we had a media we actually might know the truth. I speak from experience, my Wife died last May and I’m sure Bolshie Bonnie called it China Plague, It was not related. I am sure that the commie-rat-bastards are counting on my emotional inability to deal with it at this time. Because of the China Plague and the commie NDP I was not allowed to comfort my wife in her last days. I will not forgive or forget.

    1. I’m sorry for your loss, and I mean that with all sincerity. I have other friends who had loved ones die alone because of covidiocy, and my blood boils.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who is sick of hearing Bonnie’s Bullshit every single day.

    2. Ynot, a friend of mine died during the fing plandemic. His wife and kids could not even be in the room for the two days it took for him to die. I do empathize, it is outrageous. Well, just what the hell are we going to do? voting is freaking waste of time.

      1. My bro in law passed from cancer in Kingston last June. Of course we couldn’t go see him in hospital. Of course his death certificate said covid19.
Of course her widow is suing Doug Ford’s progressive government as we speak.

    3. Indeed, the blatant lack of details from these propaganda sessions led by Bonnie Nazi is breathtaking. Only the most scary and fearful items are disclosed, 24 DEAD!!!!! FEAR,!!!! PARANOIA, YOU COULD BE NEXT!
The general population has no idea that 95% of the deaths are over age 75, with a major illness, in a care home. They would choose to be freaked out, and OBEY!
If only the media and government could tell the whole story, but, they are in bed together, turning tricks for each other, while gaslighting and manipulating the public.
Next up, roving gangs of police officers, cruising the neighbourhoods, looking for illegal gatherings of families, friends, and worshippers!
      STASI ANYBODY?

    4. Ynot, Sorry for your loss my friend. I can empathise a little as my wife is experiencing the same thing with her 95 year old confused mother.

As to Bonnie princess Henry, I no longer watch TV news media, as the obvious lies and bias was to much to stomach, so I just quit, can’t say I miss it at all, and I’ve developed my own preferred news sources, just like SDA. At least there is some sanity and intelligent exchanges here.

  5. The lack of information is deliberate. They don’t want the populace weighing risk factors and assessing probabilities before making decisions. In other words, no independent thinking allowed, blind obedience only or no soup for you. For instance, in Victoria, community spread is probably zero (actually likely is zero) but you will not be able to discover this in any official source. Just last week was the first reported case in an old folks home, and that was a new arrival. It has been this way since the beginning, and it’s pitiful that no so called journalists can be even bothered to investigate. The Global reporter at the legislature would probably cut his tongue out if the health minister advised it. The New Normal is going to be instituted despite the fact that the old normal works just fine for most people.

  6. The big lie is that these PCR tests are accurate. They are picking up other strains of the corona virus, i.e. the common cold, for one thing. And they are picking up non-active, inert basically, pieces of the virus in people’s nostrils, for another. This blows up the # of cases count and the # of deaths count. I know nurses who work in the hospital who say 60% of the positive tests are false positives. They retest and it comes back negative. Guess what: Still a positive case. Two weeks later they are a “recovery.” It’s all political theatre.

The media in this country is so full of shit, I can’t honestly stomach even listening to “the news.” I’ve shut off ALL curated news feeds (anything with a feed is curated.. someone else decides what can/can’t be shown). When I turn on the car it takes less than a microsecond of audible voice for me to shut it off.

I know people who have been tested in the double digits. Tell me that’s not psychological damage? I know a couple who got the sniffles and went and got tested. Tested “positive” for corona so bing, bang, boom, can’t go home for Christmas, quarantined for 14 days. Idiots. HA! Or maybe that’s just what they are telling people, hey? Another case, someone who works with my wife called the ambulance because “she didn’t feel right.” The EMTs said, lady you are NOT sick, we’re not going to take you to the ICU. She tested positive and went on the CBC and was telling people she almost died.

I summarize this all as that we, as a society, have been made unrecoverable less intelligent with the advent and mass saturation of social media.

  7. Alberta Government Stats show that so far 12 people have died with Covid. When you peel back all the BS and remove all comorbidities it shows 12 people who died of just COVID. All these NAZI Bastards should be rounded up and prosecuted criminally.

    1. And to think that 50 years ago, student newspapers openly protested the imposition of the War Measures Act.

      1. Knew someone who actually had police threaten them with jail. The crime? Simply publishing the FLQ’s manifesto.

  8. The relevant facts on covid is the adult children are superspreading it, what was once known as herd immunity, now banished from science. A good question would be why? Hmm, when did adult children obey their parents? Second, they see hypocrisy of those who flaunt their own edicts and detect the unsureness of the earnest politicians not necessarily seeking power, but getting it.

For instance, the science addles scribes over at CBC have uncovered, gasp, adult children at a resort, mingling with each other.

The status quo 5th column journalists at CBC apparently can’t handle the mundane math of tracing cases to illness, hospitalization and death. It’s easier to trace people.

They’re quick to point out all the penalties and fines, plus of course pillorying in the town squares, for not being edict friendly.

So staff who were told to let it happen got fired, responsible for, gasp 60 “cases.” Commenters shriek at the serial murderers.

The article makes no mention how many in this “covid 19 cluster” are in hospital, or even sick? That seems important.

Besides being pathetic, CBC should be careful, Twitter might block them for “misleading.” Just kidding.

  9. And people wonder why only stupid people trust the government and their minions?

Vote for liberty now or fight for it later

    1. Tru dat Doc. Problem is, provided that there are actually those willing to fight left, the number is declining rapidly. As long as they have the latest devices and their social media is working they are happy. If their social media tells them something contrary to their beliefs, they just change their beliefs, easy peasy.

  10. It is slowly being realized by the populace that the COVID test doesn’t discriminate between the different Coronas, nor does it take into account the saturation thereof. The number of different Coronas is rather large, many if not most, representing no danger to health. As to saturation, I saw one video (most likely on SDA) that compared that to testing for alcohol and pulling anyone with ANY trace of alcohol out of their vehicle. Are there those who die WITH COVID? Absolutely. But how many actually die OF COVID? Much like prostate cancer.

    1. I made the exact same analogy to my friends! PCR is an indication test only.
Now throw in the fact that you are a mechanic and you may have spilled isopropyl on yourself, or brake fluid, or windshield washer fluid or engine coolant, all alcohols…
Nope, it just has a red light or a green light, green you can can go, red we take your car and you go to jail for 14 days.. On top of that, tell the guy the machine is wrong 50% of the time!

      https://www.cebm.net/covid-19/pcr-positives-what-do-they-mean/

      1. Yeah Zon, I bet there are a bunch of people driving around with their bodies saturated with hand sanitizer alcohol. When they do the Christmas DUI stops, the numbers will be a bunch higher, and there will be some confused people charged with DUI. We are all such stupid sheep.

        1. I told a guy at the local autoparts store, the first (?) go around, “This is great, I get to disguise my identity AND smell like alcohol all day and people think i’m normal!”

  11. Neither of our daughters families will be seeing us this Christmas – despite their Mom dealing with stage 4 cancer. One husband works in municipal management, while one daughter is a social worker. Both are threatened with loss of their jobs if they ‘don’t follow the rules’. Consequently, other daughter (sans husband) will take wife and I to a nearby resort for Christmas brunch – because that’s so much safer than us going to their home, or they to ours.

We’re on Vancouver Island, where there have been 7 deaths in 10 months – age and conditions of course, not provided to the public. It’s crazy. People are going BEYOND what is demanded by Saint Bonnie, wearing masks as they walk through vast parks where you might see 5 people in an hour long hike.

The passiveness and submission I see in people astounds and saddens me. I believe this WILL be a ‘great re-set’ in which a generation of young adults and children are being inculcated for more statism and less personal freedom going forward.

We have one small grandson on the mainland. We will be going there shortly because neither Heaven, hell nor Bonnie Henry will keep us from him during what may be my wife’s last Christmas – though we remain ever hopeful.

    1. “Both are threatened with loss of their jobs if they ‘don’t follow the rules’.”

I’m blown away by this. In what twisted alternate reality do they live such that they believe that it’s their employer’s business what they do when they’re not on the clock? And why would they even volunteer that information?

    2. I’m sorry about your wife’s condition.
I am also sorry to say that your wife is probably on bolshie Bonnies waiting list of China Plague victims.

  12. Deaths in Manitoba are reported with no more information than the age of the patient and the health region they live in. Notably, the majority of the deaths are people in their 80s and 90s. No mention of any other health issues with the victims, since that would give people some information that they could use to assess risk to themselves. The narrative is set up to give the impression that everyone has exactly the same chance of dying if they become infected with Covid.

    1. While I agree with you, apparently dying by COVID when you have other factors means a long drawn out death while being on a ventilator. This is what is causing Manitoba’s ICU to be full and over flowing, almost all cases from personal care homes where valiant efforts are made to save everyone, no matter how low their chances are. No one wants to make the hard decision that says, you’ll so sick you’re going to die anyway of your other conditions so we aren’t going to try to keep you alive on a ventilator for weeks. Honestly I don’t blame them.

      1. In Colorado there were five deaths attributed to the virus, the doctor was dismayed, as two of the five had been shot to death. Ok now get mind around that lie. That is fact not fiction.

  13. All of these Bonnie Henries who just read what they are told need to be held to account.
    It is disgusting.

  14. Boeing 787-Dreamliner – Shanghai, China ——->Vancouver Intl Airport. Set to arrive in an hour or so. Flight tracker aren’t saying to a certainty.
    Airbus A330-323 – Seoul S.Korea ——–> Vancouver Intl Airport. Arrival 11:24 PST
600 people a day enter Canada…and that’s a lowball. Think Canada has the resources to make sure all of them self isolate for 14 days? Get real.
Quit whining and just wear the fng mask. Oh, and don’t go to church. And if a vaccination becomes available just take it.
The numbers don’t add up and never did. It’s straight up mindfuckery. Thank God for them the populace is dumbed down to the point where selling it is easier than falling off a log.

  15. Public health people can only tolerate risk at zero level. Like a sow grizzel bear all risk to her cubs must be eliminated. That is how public health people are trained.

Coming from that position makes it impossible to manage risk and run an economy. They cannot tolerate risk. So, they advise our politicians to shut everything down and leave it shut until all risk is eliminated. The politicians are responsible for the health of the nation. If something goes wrong and people start to die – it’s on them. It’s a lose lose situation.

    1. Agreed, the bureaucratic mindset which encompasses all of government, insurance and the legal profession, fails again and again to accept that managing risk is more about bad things not happening than happening, the possible versus the probable.

Possible equals probable, provided it supports the desired income in bureaucratic circles. They’re just shifting the risk to you.

The problem is they invent risks to underwrite and never consider the opportunity cost of decisions.

Think of it. Fabricate a risk, underwrite it. Pretend it’s “real,” the tell being disaster to be avoided is always in the future.

Climate change is classic, ill defined, easy to manipulate. Charge a premium for it. Tax it. Reset, build it back bigger with it.

Where does that leave us now besides poorer and less free? Adults screaming at the kids to stop breaking their rules.

That has worked so well in the past. They’re not getting sick, or we’d know now; but we can pretend they’re sickening others.

How will we know when the vaccine “works?” When deaths fall off, like the summer? Not in you life, the apparatchiks just pivoted to cases. Remember what they said, you flatten the curve by eliminating cases? No? Just wait 14 days for disaster.

Honestly, when has government, bureaucracies and the brick and click oligarchs ever been wrong about anything?

Ask them and they’ll tell you no, it’s decided, consensus is in. Tulips, Y2K, Russia collusion, innocent Bidens? OK, except that.

  16. Edward, regarding the potential of losing their jobs – and they both have 20 or more years of experience and seniority – they are required to sign forms attesting that they have not been in contact with others, beyond their jobs and ‘essential daily’ tasks, such as grocery shopping.

With ‘snitch lines’ encouraged and now even ‘non-police’ functionaries, such as by-law officers and I assume, parking ticket and dog-catching authoritarians empowered, they just can’t take that chance.

But they can still line up at Costco as frequently as they choose.

    1. NG – have been known to say that our family’s Christmas will be held at Costco. We organize, foregather in the lineup (where the grandbrats will definitely not socially distance), and then mingle inside that vast store. Only downside is they they no longer have the tasting stations where we could feed the family gratis. Our family doctor laughed and then suggested we take the grandbrats to the toy aisle and let them choose. Not happening, but – if their take-out is still open – we’ll all have Costco hotdogs for Christmas dinner.

  17. Burrton,,.. Canada NEVER closed us to international flights. Herein lies the problem.
Your whole paragraph should be displayed on TV! Ha! As if! Anyone with a smidgen of a brain doesnt watch or listen to “news”.

    1. I am glad of that. If they allow international fights, we have a modicum of freedom still left. Also, I don’t think they pose a real danger, given what we know about stats and who is actually vulnerable.

  18. L-From a psychological viewpoint, government messaging is designed to create a panic-demic.
Gripped by fear, humans lose their ability to reason. Governments prefer the tactic of exploiting a herd instinct to stampede
rather than herd immunity, guided by protecting the most vulnerable via therapeutics/restrictions and accelerated by vaccines.

Psychological warfare has proved effective, almost every institution has been compromised or neutralized.
Can they keep this up for another year, as Calgary’s Mayor Nenshi being the first to disclose masking for all 2021 ?

“Be not afraid” means don’t be over come by fear. Do not give up your ability to reason, to think critically.

    1. It’s quite clear that it’s the long term health care homes that should be shut and bars and restaurants and gyms opened.

  19. The Alberta COVID site has the most interesting data:
    https://www.alberta.ca/stats/covid-19-alberta-statistics.htm

    Examples:
Average age at death: 82 years old (this has been consistent since the beginning)
Comorbidities: List is provided (Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD, Cancer, Dementia, Stroke, Liver cirrhosis, Cardiovascular diseases (including IHD and Congestive heart failure), Chronic kidney disease, and Immuno-deficiency) as well as statistics.
Interesting Comorbidity stat: 76% of COVID deaths had 3 OR MORE comorbidities; only 2.7% had none of the listed cormorbidities
Data export lets you display (or export to excel) case dates, age groups and case status

    1. But people won’t pay attention to that, preferring first-person anecdotes as evidence.

I found that out a few days ago. We had a false fire alarm in our building and I was outside with my next-door neighbour. She and her husband were maskless because they forgot to wear them, while I told her that I’m relying on my immune system.

She then mentioned that a relative of hers (a “front liner”, whatever that really meant) e-mailed her about how “bad” it was in the facility said relative was working in. (“They are overwhelmed, everybody’s sick, blah blah blah.”) I wasn’t about to contradict that story as such situations may occur in isolated areas, but they aren’t wide-spread.

Then my neighbour went on to add that two people she knew died “from” it, but wasn’t more specific than that. It’s possible that the virus was the direct cause of death but I suspect that, more likely, those people died with it.

I wasn’t about to offer a counter-argument by citing statistics and probability.

    2. I read a stat that in the UK, the average age of death from COVID was greater than the average age of death of the general populace. Go figure.

      1. BA, I agree that quoting statistics will never change someone else’s mind. At this stage, it is more about understanding your own risk. Or lack thereof.

Robert, Kenney quoted the Alberta life expectancy as 80 years a few months back and that caused a media cr*pstorm. Even though he was telling the truth.

Never bother irrational people with facts.

  20. From the point of view of safety critical systems (meeting EIC 61508) risk control is required due to the public perception of risk. People understand that they face risks every day including 1×10^-3 pa for all causes, 4×10^-4 pa for home accidents, and 6×10^-5 pa for road accidents. They are willing to face these risks.

It is well established in the literature that the public at large are unwilling to accept risks when they are associated with large numbers at once (transport aircraft crashes where you get 120 at a go) or where they are helpless to control the risk (transport aircraft crashes where you are strapped in at the mercy of the crew.) In these cases they demand regulatory intervention.

The covid pandemic checks both of those boxes: lots at once and no control. All driven by relentless media exaggerating the risk and making you feel helpless. Anyone can get it! We will all get it! No ventilators! No vaccine! Nothing you can do!

The effort to get people to wear masks and stay at home is actually a panic reduction strategy. It provides people with something they can do to feel like they have some control: wear a mask, stay home, avoid visits, stay out of hospital, take the vaccine. The fact that it is a useless placebo does not matter as long as people feel like they are influencing the outcome.

You can expect the public at large to continue to demand regulatory control until they perceive the overall numbers to drop over time and that they have some control. I expect governments will continue to be driven by this and provide more and more regulation until these two things happen: people come to accept the daily death numbers as normal, and a vaccine is available that you can choose to take. Once these happen the demand for regulation will abate.

  21. Many people understand what is happening, but seem powerless to change the narrative. Very frustrating.

  22. Here’s my question and it might be the wrong place to ask it. I might also be misunderstanding something.

It’s clear there’s a lot of infringements of Charter rights. It’s unclear, because of our Charter, whether these infringements actually violate our Charter.

But, I mean, when there was a severe violation of Charter Rights and a Charter violation with Khadr (according to the Supreme Court, who gets to make those calls), our government gave him a multi-million dollar settlement.

So…uh…if some of these measures aren’t constitutional (as we’ll find out from our courts), are we getting cheques, too? Or does that only apply to suspected domestic terrorists that have rights violated?

    1. L- If the weight of the contrary evidence becomes part of the public record. Fed. & Prov. governments are in trouble.
But that does depend on the how many in the judiciary are converts to Cult. Marxism and the “Living Tree” perversion of Constitutional Law.

John Carpay: Lockdowns more deadly than COVID-19

Flying Blind: Governments’ hasty decisions to lock down Canadians while damaging public health and the economy

On December 3, 2020, the Justice Centre released released a Charter analysis on the impact of lockdowns on the lives of Canadians. Titled “Flying Blind,” this Charter analysis demonstrates that Canada’s federal and provincial governments have not properly and adequately considered the specific nature and the full extent of lockdown harms that result from the violations of Charter freedoms to move, travel, assemble, associate and worship.

With COVID-19 touted by politicians and chief medical officers as an unusually deadly killer that everyone should fear greatly, one might expect an increase in death rates amongst Canadians. But in fact, deaths for the period from January 1 to August 31, compared for 2016 through 2020, show that fewer Canadians are dying in 2020 than in 2019, even while Canada’s population grows.

      1. Yep.

I know the minimal impairment test has been gutted to an extent, but it hasn’t been eliminated. Particularly with the provincial rules, I’m having a hard time imagining they meet that standard.

A quick skim of Carpay’s article shows that he’s done his homework, but his focus seems to be on proportionality. For those that don’t know, in Canada, a government can prescribe a law that violates other Charter rights, so long as the law is:
        a) Rationally connected to a pressing and substantial objective;
        b) Proportional in the sense that the law doesn’t do more harm than good; and
        c) Impair the right or freedom as little as possible (the minimal impairment test).

So, I mean, there’s not much of a about whether other charter rights are being violated. You can get to freedom of association and freedom of expression without even having to think much.

The argument being made everywhere I look is about proportionality. On a quick skim of Carpay’s materials, that’s where I see the focus. From a political standpoint, that makes sense. “Are we doing more harm than good” is a fair place to start.

But, what I haven’t been able to find much of, anywhere, is anyone attempting to say that these laws pass the minimal impairment test. I haven’t hard of the notwithstanding clause being invoked. And by the time these cases get heard, well, let’s just say I suspect the political climate will have changed a bit.

  23. Instead of using logic to try and figure out what it is we should do maybe just go all lockdown.

Close all pharmacy’s, grocery stores, pot shops, liquor stores Costco, Walmart, Canadian Tire etc.

Go the full 14 days on the first round. If that doesn’t send the virus packing back to china where it came from another 14 could be implemented…..

  24. More government waffle concerning the virus:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODscI6Su9Vs

Note what is defined as “close contact” by both the CDC and WHO: 1 metre for 15 minutes. Evidently, it’s not in the government’s interest to resort to basic scientific concepts such as fluid mechanics and probability. In other words, if you pass by someone while shopping for groceries, it’s unlikely that anyone will become contaminated.

    1. John70…Most of the deadly drugs supplied by China of course with nothing being done by our compromised Governments to try and stop this urgent and very serious health problem… As far as Politicians and their prostitutes in the Media are concerned the only deaths that matter are the ones where they can say that “Covid’ was involved… people dying from Governments fascistic edicts, dictates and anti- human anti- freedom policies are not of any concern.

  25. We are at war plain and simple and the enemy have exposed themselves. Who is the enemy ? Easy answer, the enemy are the same people forcing house arrest on healthy people, forced mask mandates, business closures and the same people that invited the China Virus into the country in the first place… Politicians/Corporations and their corrupt Media prostitutes are the enemy… the well paid enemy and none of them have lost a paycheck through this whole anti-freedom attack, and in fact have become much richer and much more powerful. Corporations and China are the ones that told Bonnie Hitler to impose useless mask mandates. The enemy is in charge and their Globalist goals are authoritarian and fascistic.
Until people wake up and realize that we are in a War and that the war is being waged against us by our own people then we will continue to lose our freedoms and civil liberties at an exponential rate.

  26. “Bring out your dead” we will bury them in our mass grave..
    Oh wrong Plandemic.
Thank you for posting the good doctor.
Pretty amazing test cases he spoke of 0 in 400 of people on the front line..

Funny how a simple preventative at so little cost can save so many lives…But at 10 months and counting,we still are slaying ’em in the ICUs.

Now the truth is leaking out re the “Vaccine”..Oh no you cannot cast off your face diaper and get back to living a bureaucrat free life..oh no,you still must stay imprisoned at home until all have surrendered to our authority.
Basic conclusion ,the vaccine is not a vaccine..
I think I will go see my vet, damn my pets are wormy.

  27. I am currently living in the South Okanagan Valley. I have worked in health care since 1978. I currently work casual in one of the local hospital. We had the first case of “covid “that I am aware of since this plandemic started in our hospital. I had contact with this patient after this individual was cleared as being negative. This individual has a long list of health problems and is 80 years old and he survived.

I was in our ICU the other day and it was less than half full.
There was awareness of effective treatments as far back as March 2020. I think Ivermectin was being shown to be very effective as early as May.

If you go to this website https://c19ivermectin.com you will see 40 studies on Ivermectin almost half are peer reviewed. This same website list hundreds of studies showing the effectiveness of Hydroxychloroquine both for treatment and prevention.

Only a very malevolent government would deny its citizens access to lifesaving medicines . The death and destruction that has been wrought on this country and continues as we speak is so shocking it is hard to wrap your head around it.

I don’t know how these people can look themselves in the mirror. They have to be narcissistic sociopaths .

This group has done a very good job of alienating our southern neighbours. Listen to this interview with two retired US Generals. They discuss our current PM and the CCP situation in some detail. It ain’t pretty.
