    1. The design is British and is brilliant. The quality well it depends. Perhaps Germans or Japanese or Koreans should manufacture the vaccine.

    2. I am a massive Anglophile … arguably the greatest culture in the history of civilization. And I only have a speck of Brit in me from my mother’s family. Yes, my British Dualit toaster was a complete POS. Never worked right. But my 1999 Land Rover Discovery 2 (reworked by BMW with an all Bosch electrical system) is still in my driveway … it runs fantastiyc, smooth, and strong. Yes, I’ve kept it for 21 years … and it’s got near 200k on the odometer.

      And the British are the undisputed, premiere audiophile speaker manufacturer in the world. ATC speakers are used by virtually every recording studio in the world. I own two pair of teak Spendor S100’s and S1/2’s and which reproduce the sweetest midrange ever. I also own a pair of Harbeth bookshelf speakers in my home office, which are even better than the Spendor’s. And there are many other superb British Speaker Mfr’s. … B&W … KEF … Linn … Naim … ProAc … Rogers … Tannoy … Wilson Benesch. If you know high end analogue audio … you know the Brits are the BEST.

      And as a Rock Music aficionado… what can be said of the British Sound and innovation. And every single Rock Star of the 60’s and 70’s was classically trained musicians who understood music theory and became virtuosos on their instruments. The breadth and depth of English music is a unique marvel of the world!

      And what of the Magna Carta, the mother of our US Constitution? A document that acknowledges man’s Individual, Iinborn, natural, rights bestowed by God. And the language! We Americans don’t speak English. I don’t believe most of us even KNOW enough vocabulary to speak it properly. And I’m sorry to break it to this Oxford twit … but every colony throughout the world benefitted and learned from the British who made every one of those cultures … BETTER! Forget the Hollywood version of colonialism … the Brits brought so many cultures out of the Stone Age. BTW … the British legal system were the FIRST to rule that “black people” … slaves … were not “property” … but human beings entitled to the same rights as all people.

      And the Brits invented and innovated SO many things that the list would go on for pages and pages. … everything by Issac Newton … Brits invented the “scientific method” of experimentation … steam power … Railroads … electromagnets … transformers … the computer … postal system/stamps … screw propeller … hypodermic needle … photoelectricity (solar panels) … discover the electron … the internal combustion engine … percussion bullets … reaper … macadam road construction … Portland cement … soccer (futball) … Sanitary waste systems (pipes), and the toilet … Adam Smith (Capitalism) … cast iron construction … Bessemer steel production.

      and the coup de Gras for this self-loathing Brit Twit … vaccines. Invented by the Brits. This woman is a vile human. A stupid human (I don’t care if she is a “scientist”) … she is a mental defective. She is a useless virtue signaler … but her only “virtue” is self loathing.

      The whole world should BOW to the Brits … they’ve virtually singlehandedly transformed the world into a habitable paradise … where man no longer digs in the dirt with sticks.         Not sure I’d agree with your assertion that all the Brit rock stars were classically trained.

        Most of the 60’s bunch took the blues ( an American music form) and went with it. US rockers were every bit the equivalent of the British invasion.

        One more small point. A guy I ride with rode British bikes for decades before finally buying a HD. He used to say Lucas invented darkness….

        It always amazes me how researchers who live and die by the methodical approach rarely have an imagination. Right away, they assume that nicotine is the catalyst. How about this? Smokers are consistently (thousands of times per day) putting their hands to their mouths. This, of course, exposes them to various viruses, bacteria etc. As a result, they build up an immunity from the longevity and variants of those constant exposures. The same (to a lesser degree) can be said for those individuals in rural areas that don’t go running to the doctor every time they feel under the weather. Instead, they soldier through and as a result their body develops an immunity to more diseases. On the opposite end of the spectrum are city dwelling hypochondriacs who run to the doctor for some kind of medication every time they get the sniffles, or can’t sleep, or feel anxiety, or scratch their elbow, or have a stomach ache. Of course, the conventional wisdom is that rural citizens are just saved the NY and NJ disaster due to “social distancing.” I think it is more attributable to the former.

        A few years ago there was a movie – Jekyll and Hyde, together again – where it was the “Putz-Puller” prizes. A much more appropriate name for what journalists give themselves. The awards ceremony was opened by the queen. He had a bushy beard and a real whiney, tinny voice. About what you would expect for that crowd of leftist losers.

    Yes the story is clear, and if British scientist succeed 100% factual. Obviously the vaccine has to come from civilized world. Good professor should be reminded that white people in South Africa figured out how to transplant a human hart while black people in South Africa figured out that if one defecates on the end of a sharp stick and wound the stick causes will get infected. Civilization is a product of culture, culture tends to be a product of average IQ in a population.

  10. I have great regard for those people off the north coast of France. Other than the Lucas electrical components in my favorite car ever, a Triumph TR3. Lucas was not called the prince of darkness for no reason. The lights would go out slowly down to pitch black and I swear the electrical widgets would laugh aloud. I still own it, but the Lucas devils have been exorcised.
