It is not a stretch to see a headline down the road “Conservative blogs banned for hate speech” SDA will be on the list. The leftists will push for that.
It’s almost like giving the government the power to regulate social media has Unintended Consequences. Who knew?

If journalism graduates had to take a job in the real world, for what would they be qualified?
They wouldn’t even be competent assembly line workers in a widget factory. Like most “white collar” workers,journalists have a dread of physical labor,so they’d sell their souls rather than have to do an honest days work for a change.
This government has just bought the media in Canada,expect the propaganda to get worse,if that is possible.

If they are to be charities, they will not be able to make editorial endorsements of candidates in elections.

And what is next with Costa – will they sue and win if the president fails to call upon him to ask questions? I cannot see where anyone has impeded his right to publish or state his opinion and to me that is the fundamentals of free speech. And as is already beginning with Unifor the Conservatives are about to learn the folly of thinking if they are just nice enough and liberal enough and non threatening, well the press will love and fairly report on them. The only way that will happen is if the perception is they have absolutely no path to winning.
What is interesting is, how they spin this.
The Costa guy has by no means limit to his speech. He can sit in front of the camera and blabber on all day long if the CNN lets him. Heh, they won’t, would that be limit to his speech?
There are likely a few hundred “journalists” that would like to be accredited to the White House press room and they are not.

Just because they have the title or some such of “journalist” does not give them license to print fiction. One would expect that it would preclude writing fiction.

In North Korea government censors read every piece of mail and rewrite letters. I guess Canada post will be hiring some new positions.
The upside to banning mail content is that Canada Post will die faster.
It’s pretty obvious from reading the comments on that CBC story that consuming CBC content causes brain damage.
Canada is slowly but surely beginning to resemble the former Soviet Union more all the time, in a number of ways. Leader cult worship, stifling of free speech in the press and in educational facilities being just the more visible.
The Trudopian Media has been hopelessly corrupt for quite some time, decades in fact, thats why its failing in the first place. The Media preaches the Trudopian theology all the time, for those that have never voted for or agreed with the Liberal Party version of what Canada is, too bad, the Media has never cared what you think or what you believe. They ceased being a real Media speaking truth to power, holding all sides accountable decades ago and instead became a mouthpiece for the Liberal Party and the far left in general. Diaz is not only a Union mafioso type, he’s also a very powerful unelected LIberal Government operative, a lead Government negotiator in the NAFTA trade talks and who knows what other influences Diaz has over the Soros/Butts Government. The Media Guild and Unifor both interfered in the last election and they weren’t shy about it either and they will interfere in the next election too. The molly coddling, self censorship and straight up PR the Media run for Juthtin ( I admire basic dictatorships) Turdo is down right despotic. The moral and ethical rot of the Canadian Media is a continuing disgrace and as usual they couldn’t care less what you think about their blatant and shameless corruption.

The biggest reason there is no independent media is Canada is the CRTC and the CBC. Canadians spend Billions of Tax Dollars each year paying for the Propaganda Organ of the Liberals/Communists. Harper had his majority he could have sold off all of the CBC and ended the CRTC but he did not have the juice to weather the storm. And by the time he got his majority he was neutered and liked the existence of being a neutered tom cat. There are no real conservatives in Canada. There are only shades of Liberal/Communism. Canadians even pay postal fees for these so called Fake News publications. The Canadian governments at all levels need to get out of the Cultural Industry. And let the market right itself.
