44 Replies to “Y2Kyoto: Snowiest September Ever”

  1. I drove from Edmonton to Hinton today and it snowed a good portion of the way. Some snow still on the ground from a week ago. Lots of new snow today around Obed Mountain

    1. It’s definately Fall Season here in Calgary. The trees are displaying vibrant colors from green to yellow-gold and some burgundy-red. The flowers in the garden are holding up well within the micro climate of shrubbery that offers protective shelter from wind… the lawn is still as green as in Ireland.

The tomato harvest was poor this year due to a cold month of June. The few were disappointingly small but tasty. The outdoor spy-cam revealed that a deer showed up once recently and bit and spit one out, sampling the fruit. He left “presents” on the lawn. I say ” he” because the camera captured a pornographic photo of a nice sized bawbag and a well hung er, er, er, ya know…nevermind! How shocking, eh!

      Just sayin’…

      1. Geez Nancy. Another giveaway would be his antlers!
Like well-endowed women who continually have to remind oglers “my face is up here!” :~D)

        1. Heh, heh, Snag:
But, in my defense THE FIRST shots were THAT CLOSE, that NO antlers were in sight!

          Heh,heh,Heh!

        2. I sometimes reply, “If you don’t want me looking at your chest don’t have something to read on your shirt.”

    1. Obama calmed the Seas … Justin brought the Frost! … gods I tell you! They’re gods! (to the backward savages who vote for them).

  2. Oops … you forgot … COLD temperatures are apropos of nothing … just “weather” (not climate). OTOH … had it been a WARM September … then Global Warming PROOF positive. That … is what passes for … science.

    1. No no no. Cold temperatures are proof of global warming, just as is any weather. Personally, I think the climate has remained dangerously similar for 10,000 years.

      1. There is no possible weather that warmists will not claim as proof of global warming. I’ll that is was global warming that drove that deer to eat those tomatoes.

        1. David:
Just to clarify the buck spit out the tomato. It was on the ground with a big split in it, as if it was a tooth mark.

Upon further inspection they’re back! Brought their pals too. They ate leaves right off the ‘kung pao’ pepper plants but left the peppers alone. They would’ve needed a fire extinguisher if they ate those! Now that’s global warming! ( ↖️ ⬆️ )

      2. We’re in the “climate doldrums” !!! A deadly condition on the open seas for sailors has swept across the entire planet!! A static climate … ohhhhhhh mammmmmmaaaa!!! We’re ALL gonna Dieeeee!!!!, Robert!! We’re ALL gonna dieeeeeee!!! … just like we all knew we were … from birth.

  3. It’s a sign from god to the NDP.

BTW, where the f*ck is Trudeau and Nutley on forcing more Carbon Tax’s out of BC for all the Carbon they gave Alberta this summer?

  4. There was a useless CBC article about some conservative who argued Justin’s carbon tax actually puts more money into the pockets of Canadians than provincial plans. The reason was that most of Justin’s payments would come from businesses and not individuals. I laughed out loud when I read the conservative quoted as saying “if the government decided to return the [carbon tax] money to the people”. You need an “Officially Stupid” button pinned to your forehead in order to read and believe the CBC so I won’t bother posting the link. I also won’t mention the fact that there is only one tax payer so if business gets tax increases…

    1. https://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/as-it-happens-thursday-edition-1.4831404/why-stephen-harper-s-former-policy-director-is-defending-trudeau-s-carbon-tax-1.4832116

That wasn’t “some conservative”,that was Our Stevie’s former policy director.

There fore, using Conservative logic, if Justin had made that claim, it would be a LIE, but as Stephen Harper’s policy director said it, it’s as true as the gospels! No Conservative would lie, no Conservative can be bought,so……..it must be THE TRUTH!!!

A carbon tax is good for us peasants! Accept it and stfu.

Now,about the racist name of that football team……………………..

  5. I can’t wait until JT’s Fat Burning tax comes out next. Taxing people who exercise too much, wasting precious energy that could go into “taxable income building resources”.

    You heard it here first!

  6. Snow. No snow. Rain. No rain. Hot. Cold. Moderate. It’s all proof of “climate change” and of the need for mankind … oops … personkind to pay a carbon tax and maybe even kill ourselves in shame.

  7. “oops … personkind to pay a carbon tax and maybe even kill ourselves in shame.”

Just Liberals. All Carbon Tax professing Liberals should be forced to give up their homes to all the “refugees” they’re dragging out of the Third World and be forced to go live themselves in the Third World to reduce the increased Carbon Footprint they’ve created.

    1. I’ve wondered why we bring in people from countries producing almost no CO2 to live in Canada with 40 below and vast distances to transport goods and people. Not a good example of saving the world.

      1. “Not a good example of saving the world.”

Hence it’s obviously not the real reason they’re bringing them here by the millions. All explanations by the “Globalists/ Progressives/ Liberal/ Leftists/ Humanitarians” break down logically, leaving only a few nasty but rational conclusions.

    2. We “white folk” here in Western civilization are not reproducing. We are far below ZPG (zero population growth). We should all be celebrated for collectively easing the human burden on the planet. We should all be EXEMPTED from any and all “carbon” taxes, and every other “environmental punishment” (sin) tax. OTOH … all those brown people EVERYWHERE are reproducing at FAR ABOVE ZPG, and therefore should be severely punished. They should be SEVERELY taxed, and restrained in every way possible!!! And they should be BANNED from Western Nation’s where their reproductive habits finds a safe haven. Safe from disease, safe from poor (or no) healthcare, safe from poverty. At the least, we should be taxing the bloody hell out of every family that spawns more than two children. Hell!! Let’s impose forced sterilization of brown people!! Eh environmentalists … if you want to have an … HONEST … conversation about man’s burden on the planet.

  8. Sunspots….and the lack thereof. Its been predicdted for A FEW Years we may be going into a Maunder Minimum type of cycle. I’ve had serious arguments with your typical eco-tard that the SUN is the THE primary driver of climate..and as such if said star radiates a tad less, we just might notice that here on the planet. At that point they have zero argument and typically resort to your classic Marxist verbal diharea of idiot, denier etc…

I’m not saying this is actually happening, but history has shown a correlation between sunspots and planetary climate. All I know is its gonna be interesting to see these Eco-Warriors digging themselves out from Blizzard conditions in YVR one day….in Oct.

That, my friends would be priceless.

    1. That correlation has already been made:

More sunspots = catastrophic anthropogenic global warming.

Less sunspots = catastrophic anthropogenic global warming.

      – Hope this helps!

    2. Top climate scientists … really top people … top … people … have determined the sun has nothing whatsoever to do with our climate. Their computer models PROVED this fact in 1989. Please try to keep up all you moon and sun worshiping Luddite savages.

(I just realized I NEED to put a sarc. tag on what should be such an utterly ridiculous statement as to be obvious satire … but here we are in the ‘Anthropocene’ where science is what 97% of Grant-seekers say it is).

  9. fwiw, some 10+ yrs ago I planted a sweet cherry tree in me yard.
struggled and struggled to get a crop.
finally did this summer. HUGE. over a bushel of them.
apparently the climate/weather/agw/wtf-ever suited the tree to a tee.
and yet supposedly it was warmer than avg. or sumptin.

anecdotal I know but I just saved over $100 on the cherries.

  10. We’ve had an unseasonably cool August.
There was no heat to finish the crop quickly in NW Sask. My brother and I finished seeding on May 28 this year. It was hot and dry at the beginning of summer and dry through the latter part of seeding.
Canola cut maid August and in the swath for over 3 weeks this year still had green plants. Wheat dessicted with glyphosate (Roundup) wasnt turning. We sprayed a little earlier than other farmers based on a forecast where it was turning cooler again and used a premium version of Roundup to make the crop turn faster. It didnt give enough of an advantage and we werent able to harvest more than 1 field of wheat. We finally found a few fields of Canola that were close enough to harvest. Some parts of the field were quite high in seed moisture. I was able to ship the canola to the garin terminal.
Sept 9 was the last day the combines were in the field. On Canola seeded the 16th of May.
After last weeks 1 3/4″ of rain it started snowing some of the biggest fat snowflakes I’ve ever seen. Not good for standing crops. By morning there was over 3 inches of wet snow on the ground
I only slept 3 hours that night because all of my wheat and some straight cut canola is still standing. Fortunately, I swithed this year and seeded all of my wheat acres to semi-dwarf wheat. My neighbors arent so lucky and all their wheat is flat on the ground. Its a huge finacial loss on a thin margin crop where you need a good grade.
To all the “climate scientists”, Carbon TAX politicians, “CO2 is pollution” environmentalists and all their spokesman shills .
THERE IS NO PROOF CO2 IS THE MAIN DRIVER OF CLIMATE CHANGE.
More research must be tailored to studying the SUN and COSMIC RAYS ( The real driver of Climate Change)
Nobody that has their livelyhood tied to land and weather believes your ponzi scheme.

    1. Quicksilver:

We are honored to hear from you. We all ought to tell them in Ottawa off, more often than we do.

      1. Thanks Nancy, I really appreciate your comment
Just wanted to give a little perspecrive to fellow SDA’ers.
It really is time for citizens to get a lot more vocal with the news cartels and politicians with a dark agenda.
I like coming here and yell at the internet because Kates theme is “you dont speak for me”
Apologies for the spelling. I have google spellchecker to thank for that.

        1. You’re welcome Quicksilver, Sir…-
And I meant to say “tell them OFF IN Ottawa” …sorry, typo.
Glad you know what I meant.
          Good luck in your farming!

  11. The sun is going to sleep, of this, there is no doubt. Now the high priests can claim the taxes are working and run them in perpetuity lest we all fry.

  12. As I have said before – It’s the Sun, son.
Just say no to turning water into wine.

Canadians Could Get Back More From Feds’ Carbon Tax Than They Pay: Study

A soon-to-be-released study says people living in provinces that don’t set up their own carbon pricing plan could actually get more money back from a federal carbon tax — in the form of government payments — than they would pay into it. The study concluded low-income households would benefit the most.

  13. I was going to say something earlier but WTF, it’s freaking Canada. I have seen snow in June, September, a foot one October damn near sank our boat at the cottage. I have seen ice on the shore in June, big ice. Come on folks get over it, adapt, overcome, as we always have. I should add, we cut ice 52 inches deep one April, early April that was.

    1. Ive seen weather like this since I started farming with my Dad in the 70s. Theres years Ive combined the crop in October. 2 years ago we finished mid November after waiting for the snow to melt out of the canola swaths after a snowstorm filled them full.
We were lucky and finished the day before it started raining and a season ending snow.
Farmers around Wilkie left most of their crop out all winter and couldn’t harvest it the next spring in time to plant a new crop. a LOT of crop was burnt because it was worthless.
Theres no (non taxation/wealth distribution) reason for Turdough, Soros, Suzuki, McKenna and their co-conspirators in the Obama admin to ram CO2 Climate Fear Mongering Bullshit down our throats,
I have a friend who in the late 80s was doing research and breeding better frost tolerance into wheat…
Someone from the CO2, Carbon Taxation Squad can present their definitive case for why we are Post-Glacial when there are signs we are Inter-Glacial.
Suzuki and company are crying about glaciers receding. When the glaciers stop receding and start growing I can guarantee you that Canadas agriculture economy will be long gone.

  14. Were there any babies?
    In the snow I mean.

Saw my first Woolyworm down here in N. VA.
No Black at all! The worm is correct again.
