Modern Manners

Grace Carr notes an unexpected development:

Zander Keig, a Coast Guard veteran, now works as a clinical social work case manager at San Diego’s Naval Medical Centre. She started transitioning in 2005. She told the Washington Post that she was encouraged to speak up loudly and often when she was a woman, but now that she looks like, and identifies as, a man, she gets accused of “mansplaining,” “taking up too much space” or “asserting my white male heterosexual privilege,” by outspoken feminists like her former self.

One of these.

  1. will no one get this poor demented soul the help needed. She is mentally ill.

  2. “[B]ut now that she looks like, and identifies as, a man, she gets accused of ‘mansplaining,’ ‘taking up too much space’ or ‘asserting my white male heterosexual privilege,’ by outspoken feminists like her former self.”

Well, she wanted to be a man.

      1. Oh, I’m making no judgment on that. And I agree that the whole business of “transgender” smacks of mental illness.*

Just saying that she wanted to be a “man” and now that she is one, lo and behold: being part of the “patriarchy” has come back to bite her. Hilarious!

        * It used to be grounds for committal to an institution, but these days, the mentally ill are an important demographic that venal politicians must pander to.

  3. Question: A man wants to be a woman so medical professionals line up to cut off his balls and turn his pecker inside out. A man doesn’t want to be queer and he is told to live with it. Seems to be a disconnect.

  4. So she was an condescending, ignorant, arrogant pain in the neck before and is a condescending, ignorant, arrogant pain in the neck now.

Difference is that now she claims to be a man, people are no longer afraid to tell her that to her face.

    My heart bleeds.

  5. The top link of David Thompson was to Campus Reform, which said:
A Yale University law professor recently suggested that “we hide immigrants from ICE if we have to,” insisting that this would only constitute “civil disobedience,” not aiding and abetting criminals. (And)
Gregg Gonsalves is more than willing to disclose the locations of ICE employees, however, encouraging others to release their home addresses and saying he would have “no qualms” about showing up at those homes himself.
The last part of the link provided a (facebook, tweet?) comment by Professor Gonsalves himself, complaining about Camput Reform:
This is the last I’ll mention them or their campaign. I have reported them to the relevant authorities for harassment. end. (sic)

So, it seems to be law professor Gonsalves’ understanding of the law is that releasing home addresses and “showing up” at those homes himself are quite within the law, but Campus Reform reporting and commenting on his public statements are “harassment.” Is this how he teaches at Yale? And yes indeed, if those illegal aliens he “hides” from ICE have committed, or will commit further crimes, that definitely is aiding and abetting criminals.

    1. Which also raises the question of whether Yale is aiding and abetting crimes by hiring this twit and giving him a platform to incite violence against fellow citizens doing their jobs.

Is it time to start charging our “top” Universities with Federal HATE crimes ? With aiding and abetting breaking of laws?

  6. … added to the lonnnnnng list of 1st world problems that hold no interest for me whatsoever. I am … profoundly … uninterested in anyone’s “transition” difficulties. Which is exactly why we are hearing more and more crying about it … “look at me” … “loooook at meeeeeee”
