Farcebook and Gargle were falling all over each other to ensure that the kid had a bright shiny future with offers of scholarships and a job when he finished his studies.

  11. Exactly ! I am somewhat conflicted between wishing she was victimized by the “science experiment” and being grateful that she … finally … reported the “curious” device. Her admission of walking away from it and then reporting it some time later could have been a blunder which caused children or other innocents to be slaughtered or maimed in the street. Then we would be watching Muslims handing out sweets and shrieking with joy. She has a well-curated “look” of an aging hippie liberal douchebag … no surprise by her response.

All government has ever done is protect people from the consequences of their own actions; and the world is officially filled with fools.

  14. I agree with your comment. I’m simply amazed and incredulous. A pressure cooker with wires and a cell phone attached…… she must have been out of the country, (maybe even on another planet), to not note the similarities to the Boston Marathon bomb.
    And yet, it was in plain sight and NO ONE ELSE walking by thought it was suspicious. “Hey look, there’s a pressure cooker with wires and a cell phone attached on the side walk. Well, not really important. How ’bout those Yankees though.” New York City must indeed be a place where the oblivious live.

  16. I can NOT get over this story. “RUN” the detective told her so she calmly hailed a cab and went to her “friend’s” how to play some scrabble. Her main concern was that her CAT was home alone. “Oh look, a triple letter score. A four letter word that begins with B and ends with B. Hmmmm….”

  19. I suspect she never read much technical details about the Boston Marathon Bombing or even knew that cellphones are used as remote triggers by terrorists.
    The things the kids on my block leave lying around up and down the street surprise me and I don’t live in NYC.
    She is a LIV and lives the lifestyle.
