  1. These Twitter links are useless. Is there not a link to an actual story? If I’ve missed the link, please let me know.

  2. It worked! So just use an “ss” if you get a German Captcha street sign with e.g. Grossen in it using the weird (to us) double-ess character.

  3. Trudeau is a Liberal tool and a useless one at that. He’s stunned stupid. Apparently that’s what it takes to lead this country. The Islamic segregationist and other policies we find abominable like female genital mutilation and the wearing of disguises called burkas, treating women as lesser beings, are not Canadian values…yet. As more and more Muslims are elected to our various governments we will soon have Sharia law written into the Canadian constitution, It was almost a done deal in McGuinty’s Ontario a few years ago, with outcry from the people they scrapped it.

  4. Canadian values are determined by the Queen! Canadian Piss-ants have to have a sense of Humor. Canadians are a radicalized Anti-American tribe that desperately want to be liked for what they are not…aye

  5. If “diversity” was mentioned in that visit to the mosque, I’ll bet there was no mention of the LGBTQ+ variety.
By the way, I have no particular view on how Muslims might choose to segregate their mosques by sex; I’m not a Muslim (indeed, Orthodox Jews – and even a few Christian sects – also practise such segregation).
However, what I don’t want to see is the state going out of its way to accommodate such practices in the public forum.

  6. Because it’s 2016.
So – when will this pointed out publicly to the stuttering twit? When is he put on the spot? When will he be heckled until he cries or elbows ladies in the chest or cusses at the proles?
His backers simply have to worry about something.

  7. Goßen?
Or in old but no so old English – Goſsen. The US Constitution used the term Congreſs for Congress.

  10. It’s a subliminal message meaning: Please don’t attack us! Please don’t attack us! We’ll do anything you say, just don’t attack us.

  11. The PM (that’s short for “patate merde” isn’t it?) really has no idea of Canadian values, only Laurentian values, and those don’t include the general public.

  12. It’s like leftists that defend the nicab. It’s a woman’s right to wear a nicab! They are completely incapable of critical thinking.

  13. I agree with lickmuffin,
I do not understand the twitter thing
I can never find the link to the original story or at least the context.

    i see 3 women
    … … …
Is it a Canadian value to force women to cover their hair because they are inferior to men?
    and why only 3 women?
were they ” planted” there for the photo op to make muslims look less misogynist?

  15. “Is it a Canadian value to force women to cover their hair because they are inferior to men?”
Irrelevant; they’re obviously covering their hair because they’re in a mosque.
As a man, if I enter a synagogue, I will put on a kippah even though I’m not Jewish. PM Harper wore headdress to enter a Sikh temple.
No citizen in Canada – man or woman – can be forced by law* to cover their hair.
    * Obviously there will be the exceptions based on uniform and safety requirements. But as these are conditions of employment, anyone who does not wish to cover their hair can simply choose not to work where there’s such a requirement.

  16. Well, beer and hockey are also Canadian values!
And there have been THREE Muslims play in the NHL, current Leafs superstar Nazem Kadri is a Muslim with Canadian values.
Dunno if he drinks beer or eats bacon.

  17. Yup, the guy who absented himself from Parliament so that he could collect six-figure speaking fees from charities and publicly-funded schools has a lot to tell us about values.
In a country with a real press and a real opposition he’d be crucified every time he spoke about values.

  18. I could be mistaken, but I think those women are from Trudeau’s entourage and not from the Mosque.

  19. Yes, the three women are likely from his entourage, given that they are flanked by his security drones. (suits and pins, and the guy in the orange vest)

  20. The lady in the white cardigan with her head covered is Catherine McKenna the environment minister. The feminist who heads up works to bring about equality and justice.
    No, seriously.

  21. “JJM, you totally missed the point.”
Nope, If you’re going to make an argument about the incompatibility of Islamic culture with “Canadian values”, you’d better base it on fact, not hyperbole.

  22. “The lady in the white cardigan with her head covered is Catherine McKenna the environment minister. The feminist who heads up works to bring about equality and justice.”
Another of the essential contradictions of the progressive set. While it’s good manners for a woman to cover her head in a mosque (though the requirement varies from one mosque to another), a true “feminist” ought to make a point of being just as noisy and principled about “chauvinist” and “misogynist” practices in a mosque as she would be in any other public arena.
But then, McKenna is first and foremost a poseur, like so many of her selfie-obsessed ilk.

  23. How pumped would JT be taking selfie pics of him wearing a smok’n hot black burka while bust’n into another Tofino outdoor wedding next August? The mesh over the eye slit would really capture the shadow in his eyes.

  24. Did he force his wife into the furnace room with the rest of the inferior females? Nothing says Canadian values quite like killing an innocent animal via slitting their throat like Mohamhead did? He makes me sick, women have no human rights under Islam and he praises this why exactly?

  25. The Alberta Court of Appeals (our “supreme court” in Alberta) has ruled that the government can intervene in religious choices… this particular decision is directed at the Jehovah’s Witnesses church, a previous decision was directed at the Hutterite groups… when will (for example…) equal seating be applied to the muslims?
“Courts can overturn religious edicts when churches act unfairly, according to the Alberta Court of Appeal, which has allowed a Calgary real estate agent to challenge his shunning, or “disfellowship,” from a community of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
But the court’s decision was split, 2-1, as the dissenting judge decided the church is less like a public company and more like a private “bridge club,” which may choose whomever it pleases as a member. That means the case may now be appealed to the Supreme Court, which last addressed this issue 25 years ago when it sided with a man expelled from a Hutterite colony.”
    http://news.nationalpost.com/news/religion/alberta-appeal-court-rules-judges-can-overturn-unfair-church-edicts
    note the final paragraph:
“In his dissent, Justice Thomas Wakeling decided Wall “does not have a right to belong to the Highwood Congregation if its members do not want to associate with him.”
He found the congregation to be a private actor, with no statutory foundation or bylaws. It “makes no decisions that have any consequences for members of the public,” and so its decisions should not be subject to judicial review.”
and how will this apply to religious groups that do not allow (by edict of death, no less!) choice in leaving their religion… where the judge mentions “no statutory foundation or bylaws”

    beer and popcorn time?

  26. CF, 60 years ago a woman would not dare walk into a church without a hat or scarf covering her hair. Oh, and past the knees dress or skirt, and no damn pants of any sort. Yah, I find it comical that in here the bible bangers critisizing others for things their own churchs used to impose upon women

  27. nope, you missed the point, women covering their head is a cultural thing, not a religious thing. Ask Salim Mansur or one of my muslim friends

  28. Yo there, mark of the beast. 50 years ago women were not allowed into a bar. It wasn’t a church edict, it was the provincial law. Our society has progressed somewhat.
There are those, however, that are still stuck in some bitter space and blame all their problems on Christians. So do Muslims, so you fit right in.

  29. The lispy dipshit doesn’t even understand the garbage he spews… Insert lisps and over the top emoting as required… “We are a place that has figured out that diversity is a source of strength not just a source of weakness”… wtf is that supposed to mean? The self declared “feminist” performing his nauseating act in front of a segragated cult… the idiot is not just a complete asshole he is a dangerous divisive asshole, just like his old man.

  30. Did he actually say that? Surely he has speech writers. What an embarrassment. I knew he was big on cliches — but now it is totally nonsensical cliches.

  32. Those public meetings are very phony. Like most of the stuff Liberals do, they are just for show. Someone described how one happened in their community. They were mostly “told” about the advantages of proportional. Limited questions and not much opportunity for discussion or countering. I believe that the UN will be deciding how we will vote and that’s the end of it.

  33. “….and how will this apply to religious groups that do not allow (by edict of death, no less!) choice in leaving their religion…”
In Canada, the killing of someone by a religious group (and we all know who you mean here) would be a straightforward case of murder.
“Courts can overturn religious edicts when churches act unfairly, according to the Alberta Court of Appeal, which has allowed a Calgary real estate agent to challenge his shunning, or ‘disfellowship,’ from a community of Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
A particularly dumb move by the Alberta Court of Appeal. What did the former member hope to achieve? Getting a court order for the Jehovah’s Witnesses to stop shunning him? How exactly would you enforce that, pray tell?
By the way, it appears the guy’s principal beef was that, as a real estate agent, most of his customer base was made up of Jehovah’s Witnesses, so his business was now in real trouble because they were all shunning him.
Sorry, pal, but you can’t make people patronize your business if they don’t want to.
(Perhaps he should have just closed the door on that nice couple with the Watchtower magazines all those years ago instead of inviting them in for a chat.)

  34. If the UN won’t be meddling, we’ll have, at the least, a perpetual election campaign if the Liberals don’t immediately win. We’ll end up like Belgium, which found itself without a government for nearly 2 years earlier this decade, or Italy, which has changed governments at least once a year since the end of WW II.
Or we might be like Austria. The leftists won the last election by a thin margin, but the results were declared null and void when there was suspicion of electoral fraud. Now, the re-run is in doubt because of, apparently, “defective” glue on ballot envelopes.

  35. “We’ll end up like Belgium, which found itself without a government for nearly 2 years earlier this decade…”
    We’d never be that lucky.

  36. I’m not advocating for the court here, simply pointing out that if this is affirmed by the Supreme Court of Canada, it’ll have to be applied unevenly or those folks will riot.
The Hutterites are not the rioting types I’m referring to.
    cheers.

  37. It’s biblical, asshole. If women don’t like the bible they can forget the ‘entering a church’ thing.
I could explain why, but unbelievers can KMA.

  38. Yep LindaL that is exactly what the Potato said… I kid you not… I guess the brainless actor didn’t have enough time to memorize the script written for him by Soros employee Butts. IMO PM Clownypants has no idea what he’s saying… the Media cartel allows the moron to suck and blow at the same time… “diverthity ith a sthourth of stwainth not juthst a sthourth of weakneth”… Its up at the Rebel (Brian Lilley) if you can remotely tolerate listening to the pandering fool.
