Personally, I would have scheduled a gay parade, a Russian nationalist parade and an Islamist parade on the same day at the same hour at the same place and watch what happened.

Here is Jan III Sobieski, King of Poland, in HIS moment of triumph at the Battle of Vienna in 1683. Sobieski was a cavalryman, and his massive force of cavalry ploughed into Kara Mustafa Pashja’s much larger force when the Turks were fully committed.
The battle has not been forgotten in the Islamic world. I am told that young Turks still visit Kara Mustafa’s tent in a museum in Vienns; and the date of the beginning of the battle, 11 September, may ring a few bells.

The Battle of Vienna is fascinating to read about – including the part that the fuse to the huge Turkish mine was snuffed out when it was already alight.

The battles which I recognize are Tours (732AD), Granada (1492AD), Lepanto (1571AD), Vienna (1683AD), and the American campaign against the Barbary pirates (1805-1815). The others I don’t quite remember off the top of my head, shame on me. Anyway, the ones I do recognize were Christian victories.
