BBC is going to get blowback for quoting Judith Curry. They have an edict not to give deniers an outlet, and luke warmers are seen by many alarmists as deniers in sheep’s clothing.

They’re really no different than The Population Bomb and other Armageddon cultists. Failure of predictions never results in questioning of the hypothesis. The idea that warming may be mild and possibly beneficial (net) is an unthinkable heresy.
Frankly, it’s likely a shock to many CAGW followers that CO2 provides the carbon in plants. They’re conditioned to believe CO2 is an evil molecule. A shocking number of them seem completely ignorant of organic chemistry, the carbon cycle, the water cycle and plant biology let alone thermodynamics and energy systems. Regurgitating climate change alarmism and moral preening seems to be the limit of their knowledge.
Anyway, it is nice to see a bit of reality in the climate change news even if journalists still feel the need to minimize good news with prophesies of future doom.
Any day now, the virtue signally dolts of the Cult of Calamitous Climate, will refuse to eat any carbon based lifeforms,in solidarity with their demonization of Carbon dioxide.

I first started listening to the BBC World Service on shortwave over 30 years ago, eventually becoming one of its monitors. Back then, it was regarded as the best news source because of its fair and balanced coverage and commentary. (Radio Canada International was, I recall, in the top 5 in that category.)
Over the years, though, it changed. As the older announcers left or retired, they were replaced by younger ones who weren’t shy about showing their biases which, not surprisingly, were leftist.
Obama, according to the Beeb, could do no wrong and neither could anyone of his ilk. Any and all Republicans were portrayed as knuckle-dragging dolts.
Eventually, I got tired of the blustery, rude, and obnoxious on-air manner of the announcers and stopped listening. It was sad to hear how such a classy broadcaster had fallen so far.
i’m sure there is a connection with Philby, Maclean, Blunt and the other guy Burgess, with the early management of the BBC.. Someone with more brain power should check it out.
Don’t think it needs very much checking out, from its very inception UK military intelligence has had close and documented links during various periods of Broadcasting history its been a useful and compliant tool.

ITs not so much an independent source of news or entertainment as a protected and cosseted empire of agenda driven dissemination.

If you wonder where today’s temperature fits in with the grand scheme of time on Earth since the dinosaurs were wiped out, here’s the history. We start with the whole 65 million years, then zoom in, and zoom in again to the last 12,000 from both ends of the world. What’s obvious is that in terms of homo sapiens history, things are warm now (because we’re not in an ice age). But, in terms of homo sapiens civilization, things are cooler than usual, and appear to be cooling.
Then again, since T-rex & Co. vanished, it’s been one long slide down the thermometer, and our current “record heatwave” is far cooler than normal.

Warming or cooling depends on the time span you choose. For the past 65 million, 5 million or 8000 year time frames it’s been cooling. For the past 400 years it’s been warming. However it’s still not as warm as it was 8000 years ago.

Cretaceous trees , when the CO2 was 10 times the current level had significantly less leaves , an economy of growing . The dropping co2 levels have caused plants to have to evolve more leaves and structure .
Do you find it as being UN-believable as I do that there is a group of Globull Warming proponents who are trying to bring a New U.S.A. Law into effect. This New Law will make what I just wrote with the word Glo-BULL as a Felony Crime? If such a Law is put into place when I or any other Canadian is unwilling to accept the proven False Narrative (The United Nation’s I.P.CC-has admitted their figures are Flawed) the myself; other travellers; and the American Citizens will become Victims of a Dumb Law.
