Responding to terrorists, electing judges and heroin shooting galleries

zAnother Canadian killed by Islamist terrorists. This time in the Philippines. Forget the nice words to be said, Brian says it is time for a real response, let’s send in JTF2 and hunt these bastards down.
Also on the show, Dan McTeague on the political response, the need to elect judges or reign in their power, Trump fights against the Cruz-Kasich alliance and plenty of calls on Ottawa’s push for heroin shooting galleries – AKA “safe injection sites.”

  1. The Philippines has actually been doing the job that needs doing against these muslim terrorists for quite a while now. I don’t think the addition of JTF 2 would add all that much to their efforts, nor do I think the Philippines would be that welcoming of JTF 2 – Yankee special forces are already there. Military aid might do more good. And as for this kind of thing happening elsewhere – for example some islamic craphole like Somalia – I suspect you are going to need a lot more than JTF2. Like a naval task force built around an amphibious assault ship for supply and air support of the pointy end. That sort of TF ain’t gonna happen any time soon, particularly under this government.

  2. The conflict in the Philippines has been ongoing since 1969, I doubt if JTF2 or anyone else could make much of a difference.

  3. I wonder if Justine would consider this beheading to be….uh…..barbaric? Perhaps he could “talk” nicely to those who did it?

  4. Maybe send them some parkas and job offers. Maybe a cd of various renditions of kumbaya by Bono.

  5. The Clown Prince is in a sticky situation, isn’t he?
On the one hand, he has forbidden Canada from fighting hostile Muslim forces as he saw it as nothing of a game of “mine is bigger than yours”. Besides, if one killed them, they win, right?
But Canadians will expect action from him. However, with all of those new Liberal voters–er, refugees–he has so generously bestowed upon this country, he doesn’t want to antagonize them and, thereby, lose their support in the next election.
Expect him to do nothing more than “stare them down”. That way, he shows he’s concerned and doing something and he won’t lose the votes of the new tenants at all those army bases.

  6. I ask again, why is it the hostages in these situations, seeing the machete, seeing the sword, whatever the fcuk is coming their way, make a grab for the executioners eyeballs and gouge them out? why why why do we see them lined up like kids waiting for an ice cream cone, kneeling compliantly waiting for the bullet in the head?
is there some paralyzing fear reaction? it happens in nature. what in blazes is that? *6,000,000 Jews* and they all just trotted along here and there ya wol herr komandant. godd**mn it they KNEW what was coming at some point fer fcuk sake. has anyone ever heard of a group about to be executed for political reasons, all making a rush at the firing squad? what, go along with it and hope they run out of bullets? be polite, dont make waves there billy, keep a low profile jimmy and maybe they wont notice . . .
good grief. at least the south vietnamese made a stand even though thanks to meddling congress they werent allowed to go full tilt.

  7. oh, and speaking of terrorists, or in this case ‘errorists’:

and you people wonder why ‘mercuh has so god**mn many enemies around the world? hmmm?

  8. You’re such a fn idiot, I don’t think anyone will respond to your inane ramblings, but because of a lack of better things to do, I will let you in on a little secret that’s only known by about two billion people.
The bad guys, in this case, the warriors of the religion of peace, put on these little things called dress rehearsals. That’s where they take the poor abused hostage through the same drill a dozen times. When it’s for real the poor suckers don’t realize it, until it’s a little too late.
Human nature, being what it is, the poor dumb hostage, wants to live as long as possible. Now I know that you, being safe and sound, in your little secure Canadian home, would like to believe that you are different, but trust me, you are no braver than anyone else, and in the same circumstances, you would leave the same stain in your drawers.
As for the poor muzzie detainie. Should have put one in his celebrum when they had the chance. I really don’t give a flying F$@k if the whole of that lot is wiped off the face of the earth, and that includes every man ,woman, and child. The biggest mistake GWB ever made was not nuking every major Islamic capital on 12/9/11.
Now you might think that that’s a little harsh, but eventually it will come to that. May as well be today.

  9. we will hunt no one down and we will continue to bring our enemies to our country until they are a real threat and then it will be too late.

  10. A Canadian was beheaded by evil savages, our prayers and condolences to his family. Now go back to whatever you’re doing and wait for the next atrocity from these same rag-tag cowardly bastards. That’s what we get from the Prime Minister/Clown Prince of Canada.
Why are the civilized world powers putting up with this without even making an effort to hunt them down wherever they exist? Why are we admitting more and more people to our countries whom we cannot possibly screen or trust?

  11. Yes, rather than hunt them down, we are more likely to bring the perpetrators here as refugees to feed, clothe, pamper, fawn over and use as a photo op. They are the real victims, because social justice.
They aren’t your enemy, they are your future neighbour. It will make for interesting block parties.

  12. Now if only Trudeau put as much effort into bringing back Innocent Canadians, as he and the Liberals spend trying to bring back Terrorists……….(hello Omar Khadr…great to hear about the engagement)
I wonder how many members of the Liberal party will be at the wedding?

  13. “Why are the civilized world powers putting up with this without even making an effort to hunt them down wherever they exist?”
Here is what I’ve come to believe…
We are witnessing the “War on Terror” which is aptly named because it dovetails so nicely with our other WARS on Poverty, Drugs, Crime, etc.. And, don’t forget the West has been losing most of these wars badly for decades now….. maybe ’cause the point is no longer to win.
I believe we should demand “truth in advertising” and rename these “Wars on…” to the “Industries on…”. As with all of these different “Wars”, they are not out to end terrorism, they only aim to manage it, thus ensuring endless business opportunities for bureaucrats and insiders.

  14. tell me, how many Canadians of the current generation could even think about killing someone, even an avowed enemy?. there are not many in this country.

  15. Thank you Brian Lilley for posting these podcasts. When I have time I really enjoy listening to the whole podcast. However, I rarely have time. Would it be possible for you to annotate them so listeners could go directly to the portion they are most interested in? I see there is an option on the bottom of the time/volume graphic to insert comments. Another option would be to add a listing of timestamps for specific topics to the text of the post.
If you did something like this, more Brian Lilley commentary would fall on attentive ears.

  16. In John Bradley”s excellent book “After the Arab Spring” he covers every country affected by islam and what is currently happening there. From Morocco to the Philippines Saudi Arabia is the main source for the growth of the violent wahhabi faction of islam. They sponsor groups like Abu Sayyaf and they never retreat from their goal of a world wide islamic state. SA also pours money into mosques and islamic schools across the Western world.
Leaders, like Trudeau and Obama, that refuse to even name islam as the source of this violence just enable its constant expansion. Wonder if Toronto’s Chief of Police will rush to his local mosque making sure there is none of that “Islamophobia nonsense”!

  17. I read in the text that there is ” a need to elect judges or reign in their power.” (Dan McTeague)
I note this in the trial of Jian Ghomeshi. There is near consensus that the women who appeared as witnesses, were the ones then on trial. Ghomeshi, former CBC star not guilty.
Then the case of one Mike Duffy. To a lesser extent- at least it seemed to me, the PMO’s office was put on trial. Duffy, former CBC star not guilty.
Could it be that there is now an new form of approach by these judges? That being to simply attack the complainants. Instead of quietly assessing their sworn statements – then delivering the verdict. Leaving the whole process then to the general public to inform themselves about it.
There is something rotten in the state of Denmark.
    With apologies to Will Shakespeare.

  18. uhuh. so they *know* what the dress rehearsal is leading up to. so why wait for the inevitable? strike while you can. take as many of them with you. make them pay in whatever way.
gee, I wonder if THAT thought ever went thru the minds of WW II combat casualties at any point? are you saying THOSE men were wrong in their acceptance of their situation? I don’t think so. something was lost in the past 70+ years.
you have no friggin idea what terrors I have faced successfully since a very early age. it is astounding how aggressors back down when they see it in your eyes, a coldness, a determination to hurt them instead of ‘hope they wont hurt you’. it is magical, a form of ‘nuclear deterrence’ if you will. google how that panned out.
I once beat up a kid in grade school so bad after he stalked me for weeks, no one ever bugged my ass again. sometimes the strategy pays off in spades.

  19. http://www.nationalnewswatch.com/2016/04/26/trudeau-maintains-34-point-advantage-as-preferred-pm-over-ambrose-in-nanos-tracking/#.Vx-d70eLUXg
Once again, the propaganda machine at National Newswatch has another poll that shows Canadians prefer Trudeau to anyone, ANYONE, dammit!
I heard a rumor that next week, our beloved PM is going to send the 29 ship Carrier Task Force #7, led by the HMCS Mackenzie-King, with it’s complement of 103 aircraft,to the Philippines,(accompanied by the guided missile cruisers HMCS Jean Chretien and HMCS Lester B.Pearson) just to show those terrorists what happens when you mess with Canader!
Justin Trudeau may just be the toughest leader in NATO since Maggie Thatcher!
Now,where in hell did I put my anti-hallicinogenic meds?

using boob rae to send a message on terrorism is like sending libbie davies to
rescue cats out of tall trees…
“It speaks volumes that Justin Trudeau’s point man in the War against Terro…
excuse me… “bad people” who do “bad things” that have absolutely no
    connection to any known religion
trots out all the same old tired cliches.”

  21. Amen to that. Brian, are you reading.
Don Morris, now that would be a dream, except for the part about JT being the toughest leader since Maggie. The missiles he is launching is the constant verbal gaffs. Mind you, I would prefer different names for the ships.

  22. So sorry to read about these poor guys. I hope something will sustain them at the end. Thanks Greg G… rest assured you are not alone in your longings for nuking the entire ME, it’s the only way to be sure. Cheaper too.
