  1. More evidence these”researchers” are activists not biologists.
Damage to the wildlife , they proclaim as endangered, is nothing to them.
For the cause a few casualties, months of animal suffering, are acceptable.
As long as the message is intact.
Sort of like the multiple “drown” bears of a few years ago.
Same dead bear photographed many times.
The key indicator of these Cult of Calamitous Climate Clowns is their corruption.
    Always with a government job.

  2. Yes, well maybe not drowning, but at least pining for the fiords – with icebergs to play on and all that Polar bear fun stuff we scientists think shows a healthy bear mentality.
So the bears are depressed – and it’s al the fault of yuppies with SUVs murdering their climate.

  3. I think Drudge had an article a few weeks ago that yet again this year, an Alaskan village would be forced to have Halloween indoor because of too many polar bears roaming around…Maybe a training collar like for dogs and the kids could have a remote to ZAP! the big cuddly things if they come too close to the kid’s candy bag.
Make sure these collars are not too thigh though and use Duracell batteries only.
Staying sane is the greatest challenge for living in the 21st Century.

  4. I live in the bush. I don’t collar my 150 pound outside dog so he doesn’t strangle himself on something.

  5. The same clowns who endorse wind turbines scattered across the country side killing more birds than most could imagine. Even endangered or threatened species such as bald eagles and such. These environment goons should be thrown in jail for the crimes and mayhem they have caused.

  6. ‘These environment goons should be thrown in jail for the crimes and mayhem they have caused.”
Maybe we should also take a page out of Dickensian England: Put treadmills in the jails and hook them up to generators and make them generate some “green energy”. Then we could also whip them to make them run during peak consumption periods.

  7. Holy crap – looks like CO2 is having a much more direct role in polar bear mortality. As the bears grow into adulthood they get gradually choked more and more until they can no longer intake enough O2. the loss of breathing capacity keeps them from being able to do what’s needed to live leading to early death. What a hell of a way to go…and these enviros call themselves caretakers of the planet?

  8. Comments are closed on article …. I wonder why? COWARDS!
They should be taken to the SPCA and charged with cruelty to animals. Too bad this does not go viral on the Main Stream Media … not a peep … nothing has changed.

  9. Theres this idiot sailing around ona iceberg to call attention to this Global Warming fruad and you can bet when he is done the news media scum suckers will be interviewing this idiot he’ll be appearing on all those leftists news shows,Today,GMA,CBS Morning News,20/20,Nightline,Dateline NBC,CBS Sunday Morning.Frankly i would rather see him be eaten by a polarbear

  10. Though it mentions it a few times in the article, it didn’t give a reason why males aren’t collared. Their necks are bigger than their heads and the collars slide off.

  11. All the fat pig has to do is lose about 75 lbs, and he’d be fine. And sex is proven to burn calories, but only if you can preform.

  12. These same groups push bird choppers for energy; millions killed a year. 10 birds die on any tailing pond and it’s treated like an environmental disaster.
There needs to be jails time for the propagandists, they are screwing with the kids about crap that doesn’t exist.

  13. These eco-jerks that want Windturbines like Greenpeace,Sierra Club and such need to be fined $5000 for every bird killed by a wind trubine I mean these things need to be totaly banned after all they banned DDT becuase of the birds then ban windturbines their far more harmful to birds then some oil rig is

  14. Even the so called Royal Society for the Protection of Birds(RSPB)has jumped on the windturbine bandwagon they have forsaken their origions and purpose for rediculous enviroemntal ideology darn stupid green idiots

  15. Hi all,
Today I have added an update to this post reflecting that USGS has said this is not one of their bears.
It appears U. of Alberta was also working in the region tagging bears but they have not said anything. Andrew Derocher is the lead of that team, I believe.
Still up in the air whether this bear is male (as reported in the story) or a female with a cub (as another observer has reported).
So, more than a week later, the poor bear appears not to have been rescued and no one has taken responsibility for installing this collar.
