it’s an upside down world for sure.
So do we assume Putin will not attend the gay Paree climate conference?
Shame…and Justin was so eager to ‘tell him off to his face’.
THE GATES OF HELL ARE OPEN TO ACCEPT THE UNITED NATIONS AS A GOVERNING WORLD BODY!
AND ,,,,,,,CLIMATE CHANGE BE DAMNED!
Neither Obama nor Trudeau have the authority to alienate the sovereignty of the countries they represent. That will not stop them.
It is bizarre in the extreme that the leader of a “former?” communist tyranny would be the champion of western security and sovereignty – even if by circumstance.
Russia doing the job of mopping up failed NATO-US foreign policy in the ME – and breaking the back of the climate hoax fascists in Paris. I suppose his thinking is that opting out of this crushing economic blow to western productivity/development will give Russia an economic advantage – we may see many corporate manufacturing migration to Russia as a result.
Beyond the international stance of Russian independence, Russian citizens are far freer than their western democratic counterparts under the pall of Marxist politically correct bureaucratic tyranny. Funny , how we never thought that we would see a day when we would be more liable to punishment for freely speaking our mind than Russians.
We really live in bizarre times
It may be a sign of the End Times that actual Truth is seen on the pages of Pravda.

Putin taking a leading role in fighting ISIS.
Putin with the right take on warm mongering.
People finally waking up to the fact the rest of the world has lost its way.
If you want to see bizarro world, just look at how Europe and North America have embraced fantasy over reality.
We’re living in it, people. Open your eyes. As Thomas Sowell wrote: Intellect is not wisdom.
Be careful of the charismatic leaders we elect in the future. They’re not as wise as they pretend to be.
Just because he’s an unrepentant commie doesn’t mean he’s stupid.
If one reads the article the attitude that the MSM consider themselves experts with a duty to push CAGW seeps thru.
Journalists have completely lost their ability to distinguish between reporting and agenda pimping.
Never thought I would have a thought even remotely parallel anything the Dauphin ever said. He mused about admiring China being able to “respond” to climate change (makes me want to puke even writing that phrase!) due to their dictatorial government. Now I find myself thinking that at least Putin feels no need to kowtow to the media hysteria over false crises. With some grudging admiration. Heck, at least Putin is not wrong all the time! In fact, in important issues like the ME, climate change hysteria, and the “need” for a gay pride parade at the Olympics, the man has shown far more common sense than any Western leader outside of Harper. I miss PMSH already!!
From the start of the NY Times Article:
“Wildfires crackled across Siberia this summer, turning skies ochre and sending up enough smoke from burning pines to blot out satellite views of the 400-mile-long Lake Baikal.
To many climate scientists, the worsening fires are a consequence of Siberia getting hotter, the carbon unleashed from its burning forests and tundra only adding to man-made fossil fuel emissions.”
This is why the initiative to “protect” the Canadian Northern boreal forest and use it to obtain green credits, because it is such a huge carbon sink, is such a joke. the ultimate end in the natural cycle of the boreal forest is such forest fires. would we have to refund the carbon credits when they burn?
The U.N. sits on American soil and is beloved and cherished by it’s own President and this ‘devotion’ has been present at least since Bush senior who has mentioned “New world order” in different speeches many, many times in the past.
Right now, The United States of America which created the most wealth and prosperity throughout the world is in plain site and for all to see, the main driver for a one all controlling World Governance.
Although I am Canadian, I have always cherish the United States Constitution which, after; and based on the Bible itself, just might be the most perfect guide to human freedom and dignity ever written.
The old elites of the time were God fearing.
The new elites believe they are God.
Depressing times indeed when the hero of the day runs a Country that has experienced so much human suffering through it’s own systems of Governance from tsars through Communist dictators.
I believe the current presence of Putin on the world stage is strategic. We are being tuned (Through our MSM) to accept tyrants as potential rulers down the road…What’s that thing Justin Trudeau said about China being so great because “they get things done so quick” ?
May God have mercy on us all.
Yeah I laughed when I read that too stowaway – Love the negative connotation the NYT gives to natural fire renewal. -typical “cityiot” enviro-moron poltergeist stories
When I started my formal education I thought I might want to be a wildlife habitat manager – I had several semesters of silviculture and wild habitat ecology and I can tell you wild fires are a necessary natural cycle in the renewal/sustainability of natural habitat
At any given time 1000 wild fires rage on the planet, mostly the result of lightning strikes. They remove dead fall, disperse seeds and condition the s0il for the new growth – perfectly natural gardening and a brilliant aspect of natures safety valve systems.
The problem with wild fires lies with 2 groups – first the corporate resource harvesters who see natural fires as a destroying profits -then there are the citiot green zombies who have Smokey the Bear syndrome and still delude themselves in childish notions that natural fire renewal is bad and man must control these to preserve th over aged environments which they remove – these people are prohibitionists an preservationists, not conservationists and there is the problem.
Now you combine this enviro-ignorance with the dogmas of the climate hoax an you se idiots scurrying about like headless chickens when a ire burns some scrubland -and oh horrors the carbon output! Let’s not tell the poor deluded things that wildfires have been a matter of natural flora renewal and cliate for millennia
It’s pointless trying to educate a green zombie in the rapture of a paranoid doomsday episode.
I don’t think Modi in India will patsy up to the UN way of doing things. He wants to get 100s on millions of people out of dire poverty and he understands that tilting at windmills won’t solve the problem. Coal, baby, coal.

Every evil, every buffoon and every righteous do-gooder has to be allowed to swell and self implode.
Government brought us CAGW, government owns it.
They have identified themselves as our enemy.
Corrupt to the core, oath breakers all the way.
They cannot stop their theft and destruction.
Time to form the real oil Cartel, Saskatchewan Alberta, Montana, Wyoming, Dakotas,Territories, Northern BC and Alaska.
Then link up with Putin’s Russia and give the looney left the high prices for energy they desire.
The demonization of carbon is the definition of insanity.
Banning plantfood is beyond madness.
CAGW is an intelligence test, shame most of the fools and bandits have failed.
But a blessing for us, when cleaning house, “In their own words they stand exposed”.
That’s why I have always said that any person that wants to go into environmental studies for a livelihood should be born and raised in the boonies, on a farm, outside, in nature, burning brush, hunting, fishing, cutting trees = Observing.
Anybody born and raised in an urban environment that walked most of his life on cement and asphalt surrounded by city planted trees wrapped with plastic at the trunk should not be permitted to get any diploma to be able to take any decisions on the environment whatsoever.
At least the true country kid would not swallow so easily the lies the Suzuki type teachers would feed them.
A cityiot could only get into environment if he first gets a doctorate in Geology. Ask any Geologist who is basically an expert on the earth’s surface if he believe in manmade climate change.
Cityots are so stupid!
If Russians had remained in eastern Europe and East Germany they would have protected Europe from destruction by the current invading force of thousands of Islamic militants… just sayin’… 🙂
“On national TV, the villains were locals who routinely but carelessly burn off tall grasses every year, and the sometimes incompetent crews struggling to put the fires out.”
You can HEAR the contempt and mockery of the ‘journalist’ as he writes this. Because, of course, it makes much more sense that CLIMATE CHANGE IS SETTING FIRES AND MURDERING CHILDREN IN THEIR SLEEP!!!11!!eleventyone!!!
I can’t even begin to understand the level of denial a person needs to be in to believe that groups of people carelessly burning large tracts of land is irrelevant to an increase in wildfires, and it must be global warming instead.
I hate double posting, but on continuing my read I realized this article is full of gems. The next?
“Russian mass media repeat the same mistake that Western journalists used to make: the false balance, where the idea of the human effect on climate change is presented along with skeptics’ point of view,”
Finally, an admission that they’re no longer practicing journalism, and have become activists instead. It’s almost refreshing. Almost.
“…Just because he’s an unrepentant commie …”
Just because he joined the only game in town when Russia was the Soviet Union doesn’t mean he’s an unrepentant commie. He’s certainly unrepentant about being Russian, and about having ambition for his country. I don’t see any sign that he’s still a communist.
Not just wild fires and man-made(tm) global warming.
There are roughly 7 billion of us on this planet.
And it is estimated that for each of us there are two billion insects.
What is the effect of insect-made global warming?
Previously the US Senate was Canada’s best hope against a grasping UN bureaucracy which sought to obtain control and funds of developed countries. All in the name of “Climate change” of course, but the goal has nothing whatever to do with physical climate, it is about world government.
The US Senate rejected Kyoto by a fairly decisive resolution vote 95-0 in 1997. This time the UN and Obama administration seek to bypass the Senate, and the Constitution with a Paris accord which doesn’t require Senate ratification. It remains to be seen if that
is so, but Canadians better hope that it is not. No US congress of any stripe would commit US taxed funds to be passed on to a UN rat hole; sadly a Liberal Canadian government would cheerfully do exactly that. Lets hope Putin, or the US Senate can prevent agreement on a disastrous Paris accord.
While PM Trudeau is schmoozing with the beautiful (and ugly) people in Paris, Vladimir will be building “research” stations in the Arctic.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/russia-pacific-arctic-brian-stewart-1.3297267
One of Canada’s TOP investigative Reporters wises up to the fact Stephen Harper warned us about years ago, the Russians are after Arctic resources and are about to make their claim real.
Justin “negotiating” with Putin? Lamb versus werewolf.
Hmmmm. How does a Jack Pine “give birth”? At 151 degrees F, when the cones explode in a forest fire. No fire, no birth.
Heh. You might be surprised at the number who do believe in CAGW. I, being a geologist, don’t lend them any credence as they aren’t “real” geologists. Especially some of the ones I met working in the oil & gas industry. Mining exploration seems to produce “real” geologists. Must be something to do with the hands on aspect of mineral exploration. Most oil & gas types have never spent much time at an actual drill site, or drilled their own prospects, or in the field, unless it’s a company or geological association sponsored field trip. That’s personal observation spanning some 38 years in both industries.
“Journalists have completely lost their ability to distinguish between reporting and agenda pimping.”
Bart the MSM has lost no such thing. They know precisely what they are pimping, how hard they are pimping it, and how hard Canada is going to get screwed as a result of their pimping.
Not only do they knowingly lie about AGW, they embargo the stories that discredit it.
They knew what they were doing when they campaigned against Harper, and they knew why.
Do you think they did not like balanced budgets, or really cared if Harper liked them?
They got rid of Harper because – as Christopher Monckton so preceintly predicted – Harper stood in the way of the Paris Accord.
“Justin was so eager to ‘tell him off to his face’.”
Why is it that every time I see that, I think of Spike Jones?
Totally related,
Watch Alex Jones “Fall of the Republic” in HD. Google Alex Jones youtube.
Unlike some of his far fetched stuff, this documentary is spot on and so relevant for 2015 even if it was made some years ago now. It’s over 2 hours long but worth every minute. It’s been viewed online by about 5 million so far, not counting all the DVDs out there. The best Alex Jones documentary so far IMO.
Agreed.
But there’s still plenty of Cold War hangover among those who are trying to believe that NATO still has a relevant role.
After all, if Putin is trying to return Russia to its former glory as the Soviet Union, then there’s still a need for NATO to check the spread of the evil Soviet Union.
As somebody recently posted, since Putin is not Anglo-Saxon, he must be evil.
Notice how no Syrian ‘refugees’ are headed to Russia?
And no truth whatsoever in the pages of the New York Times.
Vladimir Putin is a Christian and has strongly supported the Orthodox Church in Russia.
Eager to see how many Liberals and other progressives will be part of Trudeau’s party going to Paris. Lots of pigs at the trough.
“It’s come to this: the last, best hope for freedom in the world rests with … Putin.”
What a crock. I don’t see how anyone can be amazed at how the arsonist Putin who has organized and paid a bunch of thugs to burn our house down is not allowing his gangsters to burn down his own home.
Anyone who has been following and paying attention to the whole Climate/Global Warming scam should remember that plenty of bogus information to support the scam has been coming out of Russia and from Russian ‘scientists’, yet there is absolutely no environmental movement in Russia of any kind and Russia has never signed onto any climate agreements that have committed Russia to scale back their production of oil/gas or industrial development.
The entire environmental movement itself is a Russian creation designed to destroy our industrial capacity with which we cannot build and maintain our own war machine needed to defend ourselves.
And predictably useful idiots are taking turns fellating Pootin.
Chief fellator Koni says:
“Putin taking a leading role in fighting ISIS.”
By bombing everyone but ISIS.
“Be careful of the charismatic leaders we elect in the future. They’re not as wise as they pretend to be.”
Tell it to Russians who to this day worship Stalin just like they worship Pootin.
@ TheTooner:
“Just because he joined the only game in town when Russia was the Soviet Union doesn’t mean he’s an unrepentant commie.”
Just because he states that the fall of Soviet empire was a tragedy for russia (kinda like the fall of NAZI Germany was a tragedy for Germans), just because soldats march again to the old soviet anthem makes him a commie. And he did not join the only game in town, he joined its most disgusting team.
And back to Koni:
“But there’s still plenty of Cold War hangover among those who are trying to believe that NATO still has a relevant role.”
Yes because not joining NATO worked out beautifully for Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.
“After all, if Putin is trying to return Russia to its former glory as the Soviet Union, then there’s still a need for NATO to check the spread of the evil Soviet Union.”
This is perhaps the first true statement you have made here. How does it feel?
“As somebody recently posted, since Putin is not Anglo-Saxon, he must be evil.”
Funny I thought that the majority of people in Eastern Europe are not Anglo Saxon either.
“Notice how no Syrian ‘refugees’ are headed to Russia?”
Notice how in Russia the population of mooselimbs is skyrocketing while the proportion as well absolute numbers of ethnic russians diminish thanks to russians butchering their own unborn at rates that would make the Chinese blush.
Finally a voice of reason:
“The entire environmental movement itself is a Russian creation designed to destroy our industrial capacity with which we cannot build and maintain our own war machine needed to defend ourselves.”
BINGO! Just like Kremlin kept funding Greenpeace throughout the Cold War they continue doing the same to this day.
Of course Pootin is not the only one doing it. His good friends form Iran keep helping in this regard. Anyone still recalls how an Iranian UN diplomat visited Canada and chastised Harper for the evils our oil industry was doing to our poor natives and their precious way of life?
Yet, Putin is on the right side of history on two issues … taking care of ISIS (hundreds of sorties per day as opposed to tens) and recognizing AGW is a fraud.
As John Lewis points out, he fully supports the Orthodox Church and its moral teachings, unlike US foreign policy, which has a history of supporting Islamic causes.
And, all he gets is hatred from those blinded by closed-minded ignorance.
Obama and Trudeau could only wish to be as popular as Putin’s policies are in Russia.
Koni:
“As John Lewis points out, he fully supports the Orthodox Church and its moral teachings,”
By letting russian beasts abort more of their litter than give they give live birth too. Really, that is all one needs to know about russia. Well that and that the proportion of mooselimbs who do not murder their children steadily increases.
“Obama and Trudeau could only wish to be as popular as Putin’s policies are in Russia.”
Wow a second true statement you have managed to make in days. You must be overheating. Yes the proportion of dictator loving bootlickers in russia is many times that of Canada or US. Siberian Mongols wag their tails at the first scent of the boot of their beloved tyrant, like they always did, the more brutal and psychotic the more beloved: Peter the Great, Ivan the Terrible, Catherine the Whore, Stalin, Pootin all beloved, but when the leader tries to give them more freedom they revolt and murder him and his family. Such is the way of Siberian Mongols.
