“She still has to win the nomination.” And surprising no one, it looks like the hand-picked nominee, will.

The ‘floor-crossed’ lovers turn LIEberal red with shamelessness… 🙂
More fluff ‘n stuff from the ‘budget will balance itself’ crowd in Joe Oliver’s riding.
Yeah, that’s gonna work splendidly for the LIEberals.
Adam’s ‘Eve’ may just get tossed from the garden.

You could fit all of Eve,s talent in a B-cup.
Eve is just your typical progressive conservative and will switch horses at the drop of a hat to keep the perks. There is not an ounce of principle in her and will make a good Liberal.
Yeah well, despite Winston Churchill nearly wearing a rut in the Common’s floor from floor crossing…..there are few floor crossers to get re-elected after.
Belinda Stronach comes to mind….history….
It could be the LIBRANOs took the extra seat for the moment and then nominated her as sacrificial lamb against a cabinet minister…who with few exceptions always win their seats back.
nice hair though
“nice hair though”
Heh – the “nice hair” party- no morals , but great hair

Nailed it, Ken. Sadly, your observation applies to far too many politicians in all the parties. However, principles aren’t much of a concern to the electorate any more.
As Groucho Marx used to say, “Those are my principles. If you don’t like them, I have others.” All politicians are (Groucho) Marxists these days.
Ken, I think the question to ask is how many other Eve Adams are there in the CPC? I
suggest quite a few. My next question would be how these people ever muster past a
philosophical party review before acceptance as a candidate? The actuality is that there is probably no review.
Many demos might suggest that a nominated CPC member, in good standing, has the right
to win nomination. I am very leery of this after what happened to the CP of Alberta
when they went to open nominations. Many Libels and Dippers took out memberships simply to vote in the most progressive candidates.
From my time with Reform and the early CPC that succeeded them I saw what I refer to as political carpetbaggers who came to CPC to gain personally or to try moving the party towards a progressive agenda. That seems to continue to this day. Many CPC members have great confidence in a re-election this fall. If what is happening in my,
so called solid CPC riding, is being duplicated across the country I would not have that confidence.
Conservative Joe Oliver defeated Liberal Joe Volpe in 2011. Not that Oliver wasn’t the better candidate, but if candidates’ names appeared alphabetically on the ballot, could have some voters confused him for the incumbent and chose him in error?
