  1. I just received the offer of a lifetime; for a $3 donation to the LPC,my name will be put into a draw for a trip for two to the Calgary Stampede and meet and greet with the next Prime Minister!
Y’know, sadly, there’s a chance,a slim chance, that Justin may NOT win the next election, and we’ll be stuck with either the Fascist or the Commie, instead of the Canadian Disraeli.
Btw, I often wonder, if Mulcair becomes PM,on his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, will he kiss Putin’s hand or simply bow as Obama did with the Saudi King?

  2. If either Trudeau or Mulcair win we know for sure pollution is worse than we imagined affecting brain cells to the point we have become incapable of reasoned thought, which, of course, fits right in with socialism.

  3. Kiss Putin’s hand? His ring? If Mulcair met Vlad the Impaler Putin he would plant a big sloppy kiss square on Putin’s (I can’t say it)

  4. Media must have forgot to crop!
WHAT!!! JT ‘snot being in the youth???
Tirador, these are the few who still fawn over pet.

  5. Hangers-on from yesteryear, hoping the Just-In will transform into the communist father, or start singing sympathy for the devil:-))

  6. Check out all the grey haired Troodough groupies!! They think Mini-me is the real thing.

  7. I’m still a conservative, but…. It’s entertaining to see you mock the liberals in Alberta after the NDP just won the legislature. Poor stupid sods.

  8. We can mock the Liberals in Alberta because it was their lack lustre performance in the Alberta election that lead to the NDP win. If the Liberals had done their normal performance, Alberta would probably have a Wildrose minority government right now.

  9. My guess is that Mulcair (as Canada’s useful idiot) would drop to his knees to pay homage to the Dear Leader of the Socialist Revolution.
BTW, thanks everyone for the laughs.

  10. Indeed, Imethisguy, brilliant thread title with the play on liberals/bedrooms of the nation.
Frankly I’m often surprised at how few people comment on these little masterpieces.

  11. Rumour has it that Telus got rid of their telephone booths because the Liberals couldn’t fill one with their convention.

  12. “We can mock the Liberals in Alberta because it was their lack lustre performance in the Alberta election that lead to the NDP win. If the Liberals had done their normal performance, Alberta would probably have a Wildrose minority government right now.”
I thought so too. But that wasn’t the case. It looks like the NDP win was people defecting from the Conservatives. Check out the popular vote from the past two elections:
    2012
    44% Cons
    10% Libs
    10% NDP
    34% Guns n’ Roses
    2015
    28% Cons
    4% Libs
    40% NDP
    25% Guns n’ Roses
The Libs were only down 6%. That doesn’t account for the 30% increase for the NDP. And both the Cons and Guns n’ Roses party were down… meaning a whole lot of Conservative voters probably went with the NDP, while a significant share of Guns n’ Rosers probably defected to the Cons.

  13. It looks like what you wish it to look like. But percentages only tell the relative shares that the parties attracted from those who voted. The conclusion that a whole lot of PC supporters voted for the NDP or that a significant share of Wild Rose supporters voted PC is only speculation. Comparison with actual voter numbers would make for better speculation, but it’s still only speculation until you can crack the secret ballots. (Which makes online voting such an attractive idea for Progressives.)

  14. No. Pretty sure it’s clear that those NDP numbers came from somewhere. The election turnout was up in 2015 over 2012, but not by much. Just 2.7%. That doesn’t account for the massive increase in NDP voters.
Like it or not, Conservatives turned orange. There is no other explanation for those numbers.
And hey… Progressive voters aren’t the skevy creeps going to jail for sneak shenanigans, or robocalls, are they now?

  15. Most of them look like they are ready for a funeral. Is this the Liberal Youth in Alberta ?

  16. I think the best explanation, based on Ontario experience, was that the NDP win was a protest vote that went outa control.
After Boob Rae’s win, it was difficult to get anyone to admit they voted NDP….most folks were in shock.
Folks didn’t vote for NDP policies but against the APC (in reality LIBS), and by extension the LIBRANOs…..WR was damaged by the WS defections to the CPs.
IOW Redford defeated the Cp’s and LIBs and Smith defeated the WR….which left the NDP as the only alternative…least loathed.
    That’s my theory……
