Except the United Methodist General Board of Church and Society has evidently deleted her last “holocaust” column, whether from shame or prudence. This Capitol Hill agency routinely demonizes Israel and for years has been trying to persuade its denomination to divest from Israel. But apparently it’s not ready to embrace openly a call to boycott the Holocaust Museum

I like what one of the commentators of that article said, that western churches have forgotten one of Christ’s teaching, “render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and unto the Lord what is the Lords”. To many western churches have become more interested in secular politics then their true purpose.
How embarrassing. What ever happened to “the method”, folks? You know, convert through example, not preaching? Self-control and responsibility?

Slowly and steadily moving away from being a reguler attendander and significant supporter of our Main Line Canadian Church. The steady drip; drip; drip; of indifference to serious change in the relatioship of the Clergy to Parishoner eroded confidence several decades ago. “The hired hand will flee from the flock when the Shepherd is away” the most noticeable characteristic.
The awareness mostly became evident during the Residential School Crisis. Standing in abject obeience to the politically correct drive by the Political Party of the scandal period to pass the responsibility of being the Governing Party at the time to another institution established the decline of the much inflated abuse added to the boldness of the cash receiver’s and to the scapegoating.
Now the demise of these “mea culpa” takers of innocent parishioner funds has setup a “pass point to avoid extinction”. The main focus and preoccupation is in how to keep the Clergy in a situation which will allow them to earn a living. Unfortunately for the younger career clergy they will never have the perceived political clout through Union Membership, the automobile workers had.
Nazis metastasize. One day they goosestep and wear brushtooth mustaches.
Next day they drop pork chops at Mausoleums.
When busted there, they regroup at BDS rallies at campuses and Roger Waters concerts.
Embarrassed there, they scurry into the darkness of Trutherism and conspiracy theories.
Scratch an opponent of Diversity, find an old Sturmbannfuehrer.
Beerhall rallies may be a thing of the past but the stench is unmistakable.
Have we not suffered enough. When will this madness end.

Just in case there’s anybody still there at the United Church of Canada who’s wondering why nobody comes to service anymore, this is why. Classic example. See this kinda thing all the time at UCC. Soon to be seen at your local Catholic church, given the way this Pope is going. Everybody will just quietly stop showing up Sunday mornings, same as they have at all the other main line churches.
Because who wants to go to church and listen to some 300 pounder spew liberal platitudes and Jew hatred? I can hear that just by turning on the TV, no need to leave the house.
