  1. Tough to shake the title of “big loser” lol it’s even worse when it comes from your own camp!

  2. Couldn’t have made Trudeau look dumber if Harper had planned this. Poisoning your own well is never a good strategy under very dry conditions and Harper was glad to get rid of her. Another Danielle Smith replay in the making. The voters will decide, but fickle, egotistical hot blonde in his caucus that was a reject from his main competitor might just take that confident grin off his face. When even the Star questions the wisdom of this move it’s a sure sign his hormones have led him astray. I would lay good coin on crash and burn, but hey, we learn from experience and experience comes from mistakes. Mulcair must be elated and relieved at the same time that she didn’t pick him. Just adds to the entertainment in the upcoming election.

  3. I rarely have sympathy for Liberals, but no wonder they’re miffed with Justin. Why did he even let Eve “Car Wash” Adams into the party at all, much less give her the nomination in a downtown T.O. riding packed with big time Libs? Of course Justin has never been a rocket scientist, but this is amazingly dumb. Are there no advisers that he listens to at all? As hipsters would say, wow. Just wow.

  4. If Adams loses, then Trudeau’s reputation for political smarts and personal judgment will suffer yet another huge blow.

Oh, please tell me more about this reputation.

  5. There is no way this has anything to do with his hormones but one of being photogenic (which is all he knows) and her sex. The PCs have the attractive women, the left has Lizzy and Wynne. Nuff said.

  6. “Trudeau’s reputation for political smarts and personal
judgement will suffer yet another huge blow.”
That is just plain nasty. He’s an amiable sort, the friend
of potheads and stray political dogs of minimal value.

  7. There’s part of me that actually wants her to win the nomination.
Eve wins nomination, Leisuresuit Larry loses the GTA.

  8. As they say, when you’ve lost the Toronto (Red) Star, you’ve lost the Low Information Voters.
Shiny Pony is living down to my expectations, which were of course that he’s a pretty face with good hair and not much brain. The Red Star however bet the farm on this goof, and now is having buyers remorse big time.
Coded message to the Back Room to smarten up, would be my guess. Red Star is telling them the paper is not going to go down with the HMCS Lieberal, they are getting in a life boat and back paddling like a pack of rabid weasels.

  9. Is the honeymoon over between the GTA Librano-media and the boy wunder? I think the real question is was this move to accept a floor crosser the work of team-ugly who manage the child king or was it him overriding the Librano fraud-squad?
I really need to know where all these blunders come from – I am not ruling out his handlers because they appear to be mean and vicious but stupid as well.

  10. It is a long time until the next federal election. (In politics a week is a long time!) I’m sure the ‘Star’ will be back on board in due time and the leader of the ‘Turd’ Party will be summarily wrapped in swaddling clothes.

  11. “The race is rife with whispers — all unproven — of dirty tricks, “instant Liberals” with no ties to the party and $10 membership fees being paid by others.”
In B.C., we call this standard operating procedure, and one that should be outlawed by legislation.
But the politicians DO show their true face in this as they all exploit whatever ethnic community is available to “win”.
There’s a gushy article at NN by Adam Radwanski:http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/federal-liberals-poised-to-make-great-election-gains-in-ontario-poll-finds/article23892369/
just to counterbalance the Star article.

  12. “Building the team and the plan.”
I’ve seen iterations of this very slogan many times before, Usually attached to vaporware pump-and-dump stock scams.

  13. Of limousine liberals: the gritty plan – saving Canada one tax dollar at a time. Justin, arm and arm with the premiers of Ontario and Quebec on cap and trade, and apparently with another bastion of fiscal restraint and energy prosperity – California. The only question remaining is how they’ll get the west to pay for it:
    http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/industry-news/energy-and-resources/why-cap-and-trade-schemes-are-little-more-than-a-cash-grab/article23894822/
Answer: by sweeping Ontario, especially metro TO, where the Grits poll 50%; but wait, in the perhaps decisive 905 belt, the Tories are at 44%, with outlying areas now a Wynne wasteland. Good luck with that bunch Justin. It’s tough to see how the Grits will pick up many new seats, even with the help of the popular premier Wynne – of course excepting the non metrosexual rubes; she’s also struggling with the lumbersexual vote I understand – and assuming the NDP actually decide to take the election off:

    The comments are extremely humorous.

  14. I’ve never understood why parties don’t limit voting to those who have been active members for at least three months. That would remove a lot of opportunity for cheating.

  15. Rabbit said: “That would remove a lot of opportunity for cheating.”
That’s why they don’t do it. Political parties live by cheating.
Shamrock said: “but wait, in the perhaps decisive 905 belt, the Tories are at 44%, with outlying areas now a Wynne wasteland.”
People not from around here should know that once you get outside the 416/905 area code, Ontario is de-populated. There’s nobody out there. Like, really nobody. You’ve got a couple of islands of habitation around London, Ottawa, Windsor, Kingston and Barrie. The rest of the province is f-ing empty. All those little towns out there just shriveled and died in these last 30 years.
So when we say that the Golden Horseshoe area around the western end of Lake Ontario is where everything happens, its because that’s where everything happens. 14 million people in Ontario, 8 million in the Hamilton/Toronto glob and the rest take up Everywhere Else.
