Just about the time Danielle thinks she is in for a big cabinet post for crossing the floor Jim announces that he never promised her anything. Major oops on Danielle’s part.     You could very well be right and only time will tell however I do think that Prentice would tick off a lot of loyal PC members should he cause Darlin’ Danielle to jump the que so to speak. After all Danielle has a reputation as a screw up despite the WR’s willingness to overlook it and combined with her loss of a general election and 4 byelections that were her’s for the taking she is not a very likely candidate for cabinet minister. What’s more I think that Danielle’s desertion is likely to invigorate the Wild Rose not eviscerate it. Maybe now the party will get over the idea that all it needs to win a a pair of shiny hubcaps and actually present some real policy ideas. Ideas apart from Danielle’s idiotic ‘equal rights for all’ that is.

  13. Well as a under 35 female I have always supported Danielle and I have always detested the Lake of Fire kooks as long expired angry nutbars (like a lot of you here) trying to deny other people their freedom and interfering in the personal affairs of others that are none of their gd business.
    I hope Danielle gets a great cabinet post in the next shuffle and goes on to be a premier or federal cabinet minister.
    Good for her.
    I am not thrilled with the PeeCee’s but I think this is a good move for Alberta in the long run. Otherwise the WR would be in opposition forever and nothing would be advanced.
    We can be more influential inside the PeeCees as distasteful as that may be than outside.
    You can bet Calgary money is behind this too and I am fine with that.
    Adapt or die and you guys gonna die by clinging on to a sinking ship.

  18. I don’t have to like Prentice to think he is smart enough to calculate the odds he won’t have to keep her in cabinet beyond the next election. Perhaps she already believed the electors of High River won’t return her anyway so she jumped for the short term pay raise in the PC cabinet.

  23. I think she will become the minister of botox in order to look under 35 Iola, it would be a steep learning curve for her but not impossible for such a climber without shame or a concience. She will get her just rewards from the good people of Foothills, they lost a good man when Ed threw George Greneveld under the bus, the Foothills electorate will pitch the twit and she knows it, expect her next move to a riding she thinks safer and without a memory. Over to you Gord, am I right.

    I suspect that Darlin’ Danielle believes that she is never wrong. The election loss was the fault of the comments of a few bigots. The byelection loss is because the party didn’t follow her close enough. It is likely she is extremely narcissistic and ran the caucus like a proverbial personality cult. She demanded the party move left she demanded that the party be shut down she demanded and the other 8 sheeple followed her over the cliff. err over to the PCs. Hopefully she will be unelected after the next election and I, can only thank Albertans who elected Redfraud instead of Darlin’ Danielle. At least we were able to get rid of Redfraud relatively painlessly. Anyone imagine the difficulty we would w96xushave getting rid of premier Darlin’ Danielle?

Highwood riding is the correct riding name the Foothills MD is where the area centralizes, these are mostly good people who were fed up with the PC approach under Ed of not backing George so this clown rode the discontent, nothing else, to the MLA job.   33. I think we could be in for one or all three of these tax increases. PST, Carbon tax (B.C. style) progressive style replacing our flat tax. What’s to stop them? The Liberals and NDP have been crying for all of the above for years.
    I am sticking with the WildRose, the PC’s have changed the window dressings and nothing more.
