Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Stunning performance! As a young rider i used to think it was about mastering an animal with it’s own mind to do as you want…. as i grew i realized it was better as a partnership. what a stunning relationship these must have.
.
That was amazing …. I cannot comprehend how a rider could train a horse like that … WOW
Wow. I am reminded of your post several days ago of the streets of Glasgow in 1901, a very high quality film. All those millions of draft horses which existed then, knowing what they were supposed to do to move freight and plow fields and carry people and move through the streets with no problem. In 1915, there were 1.2 million draft horses in the prairie provinces. Hard to imagine. And then one sees this performance. People owe horses a great deal. We could never go back to those times of course because we would need 8 billion horses. There would be no way to feed them and us and house them and us.
Hard to find a finer example of poetry in motion.
Our community has a rodeo in may and July lots of trick horses there and as we all know preforming animals like this bugs PETA unless its the animatronic kind from their dumb movies like BABE,GORDY and BAE II PIG IN THE CITY
I don’t understand dressage but it is still apparent that is extraordinary.
Amazing!
In realizing that there is no way I would be able to memorize a routine of that length with so many intricate steps is awfully humbling. Even worse, is a case of lowered self expectation since I had previously been assured that I was smart like a horse and hung like Einstein.
I find cutting more impressive; it’s actually useful in the real world, and a more complex dance.

Amazing is right. That was beautiful.
It is hard to believe that there could be, even a human being, so regal as this!
i thought dressage had reached it’s nadir with Totilas and Edward Gal. Charlotte has proven that wrong. Beautiful ride.
Wow. Just wow. You don’t have to be an horse maven to appreciate that performance. It transcends the traditional boundaries of dressage.
Simply artistry…
Cheers
