The Shiny Pony appears to have a growing group of fanboys & fangirls. No, we’re not talking about members of the Media Party, who are lifetime charter members of his fan club. Rather, this concerns the general public, particularly those susceptible to HDS. Here’s a sampling:
“Oh my God, it’s Justin Trudeau! Justin, I love you!” shouted a startled Joanna Ludlow, 21, when she realized Trudeau, clearly relaxed and basking in the crowd’s affection, was leading a group of flamboyantly-dressed Liberals dancing through Vancouver’s West End in the blazing sunshine.
Trudeau was in a long-sleeve white cotton shirt, blue jeans and alligator shoes, wearing cheap gold and red beads someone put around his neck just before the parade began. He moved easily from one side of the street to the other as the crowds responded to his smile and wave like a magnet.
Ken Bonham, a 57-year-old Revelstoke businessman and usually a Conservative voter, said after posing for a photo with Trudeau that he’d “definitely” consider a Liberal switch.
“He clearly connects with the working man. He’s not uptight like other politicians who you only see in a suit and tie.”

What do you expect? Elections are popularity contests. They are seldom about intelligent voters picking the best qualified person for the job.
“The best argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter.” – Winston Churchill
As a lifelong member of the NDP and a Harper voter, I believe Ken to be full of crap.
But heee’s soooo cuuuuute!!!!
Maybe Ken Bonham is a switch anyway.
“Ken Bonham, a 57-year-old Revelstoke businessman…”
No doubt one of those sweat and dirt-under-the-fingernails business…(eye roll)
“…and usually a Conservative voter…”
Sure
“…He (Turdo la Doo)clearly connects with the working man….”
Oh, ******g clearly.
But he’s so cute !
Reminds me of that viral video from a few weeks ago where the little girls was crying because she did not want her baby brother to ever grow up.
Unfortunately, brains are not required to run, or vote, in this country.
I had the same experience in Regina when he was there…oh he’s so gorgeous commented one middle-aged woman as if that gave him the qualifications to run a country. Made me sick. Voters are reactionary not thoughtful…if they want change, Mickey Mouse could be running for office and they would vote for him.
“He clearly connects with the working man. He’s not uptight like other politicians who you only see in a suit and tie.”
Of all the out to lunch statements I’ve ever seen about Saint Justin the Divine, that one has to rank on the top !
This is a guy who’s NEVER held a real job in his entire coddled superstar life, and he can connect with the working man!
I think the alleged Revelstoke businessman simply lied to the Reporter about his background. No one can maintain a business and be that delusional, well, maybe a grow-op.
Allah almighty.
Do get Knots ur yer toga.
The Dippers will be back to 40 seats max and Mulcair will be more irrelevant.
The LIVs will vote hair instead of Dipper.
“He [Justin Trudeau] clearly connects with the working man.”
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha – oh, Lord, gotta stop to breath – Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
20 somethings don’t vote. As for the “businessman” from Revelstoke, I doubt we’re in trouble in the interior of BC. Robert I can’t believe you fell for this article.
I’m always skeptical when the media reports on how supposedly conservative people suddenly announce how they are definitely going to abandon all their core beliefs in order to vote for some MSM favorite. A little research generally shows that they were far from conservative and usually were active members of the party they are “switching” too.
Anyone done a search on this Ken guy?
“He clearly connects with the working man.”
Whoever came up with this gem is seriously delusional. Ditching suit and tie for casual apparel does not translate into connecting with the working man. Connecting with the working man usually entails having actually worked. Something Trudeau has not experienced and probably never will.
I still take some comfort in the belief that, once in the voting booth, most Canadians take a calm, sober look at the ballot and do what’s best for the country. The choice is obvious and it ain’t Liberal, NDP or Green.
Sasquatch is right. Everyone try not to get their knickers in a twist. The vast bulk of new Lib voters, if any, in the next election will come mostly from the refugees who fled to the Dippers the last time around. The internecine warfare between Libs and Dips in Quebec next time will be amusing to watch, to say the least.
At a cafe just now, saw the Vancouver Sun that another customer was reading.
Front page: TRUDEAUMANIA: Part II.
Talk about a manufactured non-phenom.
My mother, a hard nosed business woman, dragged me to the airport in our Newfoundland town in 1968. I was 19.
She literally pushed me to touch the great man in the swarm on the tarmac.
Which I didn’t, being keenly embarrassed.
Wish I could say that I always hated the bastard but not so.
That came a lot later.
We will insist on having our very own, even dumber, Obama. It’ll be fun.
Any “alleged” straight male at a gay pride parade has to be just that, an alleged straight.
Apparently Trudeau the first wasn’t enough of a warning; lesson will be repeated until learned.
Ah, yes — Justin Trudeau. The Liberal Party’s version of “Chauncey Gardner” (cf. the Peter Sellers movie “Being There”).
The beauty of a common culture is that you can use metaphor to make a point … suck as “Chauncey Gardner”. We all know what movie it comes from … you don’t need to say it ….. in Muliticulty world … you cannot use metaphor or even simile in many cases because the foreigners don’t understand or know anything about our rapidly disappearing culture.
We are being colonized by ‘others’ and they are not assimilating … Justing Trudeau promotes that because he so stupid he doesn’t realized what he is doing …. other than being in show biz.
That should have read ‘such’ as Chauncey ….
It’s refreshing to see that Ken Bonham, a 57-year-old Revelstoke businessman, is not superficial.
I’ve been procrastinating a move offshore for ages. The real potential dipshit as PM has lit an exceedingly rare fire under my ass. Thanks Justin… sincerely.
Six years ago everyone thought Obama was an idiot too. The voted him in anyway and then did it again. When he declares himself President For Life in 2016 there will be many that cheer him on. Trudeau’s handlers are using the same formula and why not? It seems to work.
I don’t know about that. My elderly aunt, a dyed-in-the-wool federal Liberal, says she’s likely going to vote for Mulcair’s party. He, at least, has an intellect. All Trudeau has to do to look stupid is open his mouth.
I’ve been saying this since he was anointed. He will be the next PM. He can make “gaff” after “gaff” till the cows come home. Most people will never even notice. We are screwed.
Pot in every pot and a snowboard in every garage. A slogan for the libs
you never know.
He just needs to be goaded into his Bozo Eruptions, which are just simmering under the surface.
An election campaign, may be short, but for politicians without any savvy (and Justy is in short supply there), it can last a LONG time.
Ask Adrian Dix
“Ken Bonham, a 57-year-old Revelstoke businessman and usually a Conservative voter…”
Upon reading this, I immediately imagined the comments politely taking umbrage, and they did not disappoint.
The 21-year old “OMG JUSTIN!!!!” I totally believe.
Ten seconds after seeing that vacuous grin grin for the first time it occurred to me that we are dealing with Daddies arrogance and mommies brains. By the way didn t Mommy hail from British California maybe that’s why he is so popular out there.
”He clearly connects with the working man.”
One slight problem. He’s never worked.
Don’t tar everyone here!
But I get your drift anyways.
Remember, the article was written by a sycophant at the Deviant Parade. Many lightweight effete trendies attend those events, “for the fun and festivities”.
Thats your Turdeau fanbase
Great time to do polling when most people in this country are enjoying summer things like vacations, politics is not uppermost in their minds.
If Canada truly has enough stunned stupid voters to vote for the empty shell the Liberal party is, with the most incompetent “leader” they’ve ever had, we better brace for some rough waters.
A lot of questions need to be asked that would expose Trudeau for what he is, an empty vessel, problem is the MSM are an arm of the Liberal Party, we’ll only see the fluff which is all they need to succeed among uninformed and just plain stupid voters.
You can’t care about Canada and put Hair Trudeau in top job.
I have been unable to nail down what Turdeau’s election platform is other than legalizing drugs and raising taxes. If this man-child wins the next election I will definitely be liquidating my assets. He will destroy the economy like his father did and I don’t want to lose my investments like my dad did during that time.
If Hair Trudeau wins we’ll become a socialist wasteland, a country in search of root causes while being taken over/influenced by the most unsavory of elements now among us. Hint, he prays with some of them, when you pander for votes you are expected to deliver.
If, as is being pushed by meddling pollsters, he appeals to the working class then I don’t belong to that class, must be some other category yet unnamed.
Robert, I think we should continue to use your header for this thread,”Canadians Idol Election” it will give even the thickest of voters pause for thought.
Oops….”Canadian Idol Election”
The only reason I still hold out a smidgen of hope for next year’s election is that my own wife, about as left-wing as they come, is finally seeing Obama for what he is, an empty suit who cares not one whit about his responsibilities and only preens for the camera. If she can see that about him, maybe she will finally start to see it about Shiny Pony too – though I think she enjoys tormenting me about him too much to do so; whenever his name is mentioned I reflexively shudder & grunt in a mixture of disgust and contempt.
Otherwise I think we’re doomed & damned to have the incompetent one anointed as our leader come next year, and to have a fairly long stay at 24 Sussex Drive.
“I have been unable to nail down what Turdeau’s election platform is other than legalizing drugs and raising taxes”
He is against fracking and heavy oil. Destroying our energy sector, a major engine of the national economy, and taxing CO2 are his signature projects.
What a bunch of doomsayers.
Justin, Leader of the Media Party is a boon to conservative canadians.
If elected the country will split into Western Makers and Eastern Takers.
A tax on all do-gooders quickly implemented would clean Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary out overnight.
And thats IF ELECTED, all we need is Just-In to keep talking, more sycophantic coverage on CBC.
These clowns need no enemies, they are shooting their own feet off.
Try staying calm and listening to the boy speak, way too funny.
Who is he talking too?
The voter bloc of people who believe 6 impossible things before breakfast?
Or the bloc who verbally fake sexual orgasm?
All those lisped aahs, way to much.
Finally if canadians are really willing to select such an empty vessel as their elected leader, we need to know now.(2015).
If our future is Kleptocracy governed by these parasites, better we collapse as quickly as possible.
Right now I foresee a slow agonizing decline under the conservatives, versus a short free fall under the NDP/Libtard coalition.
The Western provinces, Alaska and some of the Western States would make one hell of a country, common interests, common ethics and strength of conviction.
Or we could make large canadian cities into provinces in their own right, neutralizing their ability to steal.
I TOTALLY support Justin’s aggressive courting of the leftist non-voting vote! Another example of him “getting ready to lead”. That is to say, getting ready to lead the Liberals to split leftist slacker vote.
“What a bunch of doomsayers.”
Or realists who have seen the impossible in the USA,with Obama elected for a second term, and again,in Ontario, where the most corrupt government in Canada was elected, again!
Trudeau is very electable, that’s why the billionaires club behind the LPC chose him to run for THEM!
We should be very worried, and next year MUST get out and bust our asses as we did in 2011, to make damned sure Chauncey never gets to be PM.
Well that is true, twice was shocking, look for Ontario to institute electronic voting machines, they definitely help these types get reelected.
Whether Just-In, the Joe Biden of canadian politics, is very electable, only that election will tell.
However, if our fellow countrymen/persons are so dysfunctional as to elect this child, then I need to know as soon as possible.
I too will be joining the party again, as much as I am disappointed and disapproving of the weak conservative brand, I do not need to experience either of the Kleptocracy Parties in power again.
Also thanks to CBC, I do not believe as many canadians trust the press as citizens in the USA seem to.
Yeah well, I grew up in a very Liberal (BIG L) community.
My old man wasn’t very political but I figure he always voted Conservative….
I recall the old boys were always talking politics….but when asked why they liked St. Laurent so much….they had no answer and really knew squat about him…except he was LIBERAL. Same when Turdough came along….They really, really hated Diefenbaker.
But they knew their ancestors had always voted LIBERAL….
