    The parallels between the behavior of Putin’s Russia and the Soviet Union are extremely disturbing. Unfortunately, with America currently out of the picture as a means to keep Russia in check – in addition to growing tensions in Asia and the Middle East – I fear the world is creeping closer to a new world war than any time in the last four decades, at least.

  2. The US is not in good hands, Obama is hollering out for impeachment, worst President they could be stuck with at this time. We in Canada better take note and ensure we don’t elect the equivalent here by the name of Trudeau, he wouldn’t have a clue how to deal with the ongoing volatile situation in the ME or anything else beyond pot and carbon tax.

  3. Also we need to pay attention to the political affiliation of those who are supporting Hamas over Israel in Calgary where there was violence in the streets when people came to support Israel, the country being attacked. Liberals.
    Has Justin of dope been asked if he will sign the candidacy papers for a supporter of the terrorist organization called Hamas? We know the answer.

  4. Situations like the Ukraine or Gaza can be used by people like Turdeau to their political advantage. Appearing to be empathetic in front of a camera plays well on the 6 o’clock news. Putin would have a field day with a light weight like Turdeau.
    The Calgary demo is a real black mark for Canada. The moderate Islamic movement in Canada showed itself for what it is. Not only are they sending young men to fight in the ME but they put their children in the streets of Calgary carrying non sensical signage. The idea that you would expose a pre teen to violence like that tells me what this group is all about. One would have thought the Kahdir family would have smartened Canada up. Yet there is a very sizeable group in Canada that demand INCREASED immigration of these people. Australia is the smart one and Canada very foolish.

  10. How can there be any comparison between Reagan and Obama? One of them was a strong president, and the other is a weak “absent-dent”.
    If Obama were trying to do so, he couldn’t do a worse job. Which leads me to conclude that he is in fact trying to do exactly what he’s doing, to the detriment of the USA. Clinton was almost impeached on grounds far less serious than Obama has already provided (especially his executive overreach); if the Dems don’t want the rug pulled out from under them this fall and in ’16, they’d better *really* work on getting Obama out of the picture by Congressional action.

  11. I so clearly recall that excellent speech by RR. If they exhumed his body and sat it in the Oval Office chair, America would have much more brain power at work than they now have. What a sad excuse for a commander-in-chief.

  12. It is not surprising that he is an idiot considering the fact the never accomplished anything and his resume is about as flimsy as Justin’s. He is a 52 year old man child who was elected to be an actor. I wonder if this is how he greeted the parents of the dead navy seals from the Benghazi attack. America really screwed up electing this lazy bum slacker to lead them.

  16. I disagree, the world is going to experience lots of little wars, but we will probably never again battle in a WW2 sized conflict.
    Reason: the West has NO leaders who will stand up to aggression,and the leaders of other Countries, Russia,China,etc., have been thoroughly indoctrinated into the wonders of capitalism,and they are enjoying their wealth.
    America has been deliberately weakened by a President acting on behalf of rich people who hate America’s superpower status,so with the new and more level playing field, it’s bankers, billionaires and corrupt crony capitalism that rule the world now.
    Relax, we have more to fear from our own governments than outside forces, and we had better be diligent in doing whatever we can to NOT elect a PM who will succumb to the UN agenda.
    You know who I mean.

  18. Many people seem to mistake malfeasance for incompetence. BHO is a complete success in the sense that he is doing all he intended to destabilize America a reduce its wealth, power and influence. He may not be the brains behind the operation, but he is “all in.” One makes a mistake if they try to evaluate and predict what he will do based on his predecessors. This includes any effect of bad press coverage, negative demonstration by those opposed to him ‘pressure’ by the Senate or the House. He is unfazed just as he has shown his disregard for the constitution or any other law.
    He disregards state’s rights, immigration law, statutes regarding the IRS. He has never presented a budget thus violating the law that one must be presented and voted on each year, but he has continued spending with continuing resolutions. He has changed the ACA many times after it was passed into law thus creating a new law without Congress.
    Expect more illegality, more golf, more fundraisers, and less substance.

  19. Maybe check out Paul Craig Roberts, who incidentally was a great admirer of Reagan and worked in his administration.
    He reminds us about the pre-packaged western propaganda we’re being bombarded with and at least has us wondering if we can be so sure it was Putin. And as to the destabilization of Ukraine, he believes this was Washington’s doing with the aid of its NGO puppet plants.
    Paraphrasing Kate, this isn’t your grandfather’s America. Reagan’s America is long, long gone.
    PCR also opines that the Soviet Union didn’t disappear. It moved to Europe and America.
    I dunno, but it certainly feels like it most daze to me.
    You prolly think I’m crazy and you’re prolly right. But not crazy enough to swallow pre-packaged western propaganda whole without at least mulling over some alternative theories.

People don’t want America to end the Pax Americana which is exactly what’s happening under Obama’s administration.Heck people who don’t live in America watch in despair as they see the border crisis becoming a symboyl of the States fall from power. From the USA’s allies perspective its gone into turtle mode.
    People can’t trust this President or even expect policy from him World wide.
    As the contrast to a real President, compared to a community organizer who was groomed a life time by the left.
    There is no moral leadership any more. Just would be saviours with no ethics. In obama’s case he sides with the abusers.

  23. Sometimes I have trouble telling Justin Trudeau and Barack Obama apart then I remember Obama has a better tan and Trudeau has better hair. Other than that they are ideological Siamese twins. I would like to think that they share a brain but I’m not sure they have one between them.

Am I the only one to wonder what would happen if the Ukraine situation were altered slightly to the effect that it was Ukrainian separatists acting up in Russian territory adjacent to Russia to the extent that Ukrainian separatists were preventing international investigators from accessing the crash site….. I think there would be many more dead guys on the ground interspersed with those killed in the aircraft crash.
    What would Putin do? I think we all know!

  25. The question that no one is asking is why was the flight sent over the fighting area? Previous flights had all gone well south over the Sea of Azov.

    look at previous flight tracks.
    Who told the pilot to take the route right over the fighting? Not Russia, not the rebels.
    Answer that question , and a lot of other questions will answer themselves.
    Don’t forget that a year ago, the exact same crowd were yelling about going to war with Syria over a faked chemical attack.

    Sticking to the topic, though, of why Obama skims over the Malaysia issue while placing responsibility on Putin (not Russia) for providing the weapon
    Well, if he kept talking about who provided the weaponry (at least to a previous Ukrainian government), then some brilliant journalist would ask a questions as to why the USA keeps arming al-Quaeda type movements in the middle east.
    So, a person has to ask themselves which military conflict is more dangerous to world peace … a self-declared (April) breakaway republic in the Ukraine, or the Islamic extremists in the middle east.
    Iraq is already performing ethnic cleansing of its Christian population, people who Saddam at least visited on occasion and protected from the Islamic thugs.
    Continue to be dupes of US propoganda if you will, but open your eyes to the reality of what’s going onl
