  1. “But, its emotional involvement having paid no dividends, the world had moved on, sorry, and the story, far from over, had become invisible”
Yeah well it was Islamic outrage of the week. How about all those beheaded Iraqi soldiers and police along the roadsides last week?
Until we name the enemy we cannot fight him. Thanks, ‘W’.
Here is to all those invisible Indonesian school girls who have been beheaded on the way to school or just coming home from school.
Does anyone know what the status of the UN effort to restrict smallarms is? Yeah, maybe letting the spread of smallarms to these Christian communities wouldn’t be a bad thing, eh UN?

  2. That presupposes that the UN actually gives a tinker’s damn about Christian
children or adults for that matter…

  3. If they’re looking for these lost girls they should look at the legions of illegal immigrants flooding over the southern US border – they’re probably in a DHS FEMA camp gorging themselves on taxpayer funded junk food.

  4. My disdain for the caring hashtag generation is large.
I had to build a barn for it, its so big. That barn is getting an extension next week.

  5. What happened to these guys? I loved Whiter Shade of Pale and now they’re kidnapping girls? See? Marijuana is a lot more dangerous than JT says it is!

  6. But, but, but, the can do this it is their culture. Can’t jut trample on the beautiful cultural expressions.
You have a problem with that?
Are you some kind of racist or something?

  7. “Boko Haram suspected of kidnapping 60 more women. Does anyone care?”
Lord’s Resistance Army suspected of kidnapping 60,000 children and youth. Does anyone care?

A google search for Boko Haram Islamic returned 5,660,000 hits, while Lord’s Resistance Army Christian returned 104,000 hits. It is 54 times more likely that Boko Haram will be called Islamic than LRA be called Christian.

  8. That would be because the LRA isn’t Christian. It’s a cult.
Those 104K hits would be the result of people like you who are either trying to smear Christianity with the LRA or don’t know, or care to know, the difference.

  9. Typical of Obama to stand by as these Christian Nigerian girls are enslaved to Islam.
If you had a real Presidemt as SCOTUS, there would have been a solution to this problem, but Obama doesn’t care.

  10. Both Boko Haram and the LRA are murderous cults. However, when journalists mention BH quite often they append the word Islamic (or similar) to it, but when they mention LRA they don’t attach the word Christian.

  11. You meant POTUS, yes? Anyway, the Janjaweed militia was committing genocide against Christians in Sudan during George Bush’s presidency and nothing was done. Not to defend Obama or anything, but American presidents can only do so much and Obama is busy golfing and fundraising so his plate is full.

  12. Au contraire mon ami*, but Boko Haram is following the Koran and the Hadith to the letter and is as Islamic as the prophet Mohammad himself who did just as Boko Haram did while alive and would be doing exactly as Boko Haram is doing were he alive today instead of circling the 9th ring of Hell.
    *excuse my French
Boko Haram was founded on the Salafi/Wahhabi movement.
The Salafi movement, also known as the Salafi methodology and the Salafist movement, or Wahhabi movement is a movement or sect within Sunni Islam that takes its name from the term salaf (“predecessors”, “ancestors”) used to identify the earliest Muslims, who, its adherents believe, provide the epitome of Islamic practice. The popular hadith that quotes Muhammad as saying ‘The people of my own generation are the best, then those who come after them, and then those of the next generation,’ is seen as a call to Muslims follow the example of those first three generations, the salaf.
What you need to do is read up on the blood soaked slaving practices of those first 3 Muslim generations and tell me that they would do anything different from Boko Haram if they had the same technology available.

  13. Islam isn’t what 21st century Wahhabi fanatics believe nor what present day Islamophobes claim it to be. Islam is coded in the Quran and that’s where everyone should turn to to know what it stands for.
‘Boko Haram is following the Koran and the Hadith to the letter …’
Here’s chapter 9, verse 60 from the Quran:
“The charities are to go to the poor, and the needy, and those who work to collect them, and those whose hearts have been united, and to free the slaves, and those in debt, and in the cause of God, and the traveller. A duty from God, and God is Knowledgeable, Wise.”
Boko Haram hasn’t followed this, but exactly the opposite.
To conclude here’s the last verse addressed to the People of the Scripture (chapter 3, verse 64):
“Say: ‘People of the Book! Come now to a word common between us and you, that we serve none but God, and that we associate not aught with Him, and do not some of us take others as Lords, apart from God.’ And if they turn their backs, say: ‘Bear witness that we are Muslims.'”
There is a reason this verse has been chosen. Some Christians believe that later verses abrogate previous verses. This verse is the last verse addressed to Christians and Jews. It mentions ‘say’ twice; no mention of kill or coerce.

  14. “Some Christians believe that later verses abrogate previous verses.”
The later verses do abrogate the earlier ones, it is what most Muslims believe. If they didn’t, there would be too many contradictions. There was a school of Islamic scholarship that argued for the earlier verses about 400 years ago. They lost.
The Salafi/Wahhabi movement is the largest most ascendant movement in Islam today. It is the State Religion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where both Mecca and Medina are. The Saudis have the most imams spreading all over the world to the most Mosks, which are Saudi funded, and Salafi/Wahhabi movement is the face of Islam today, whether you recognize it or not.
The Koran in Arabic is seen by Muslims as the most accurate Koran and Saudi trained imams are seen as the most knowledgeable.
Salafi/Wahhabi Islam, get used to it. Your attempt to portray Boko Haram as a mere cult is rubbish.

  15. The self-righteous smugness of the young lady with the let our girls go sign fairly shines from her pretty Western face.
Yes,she cares,it is trendy to care about them Africans, so she must care. I bet all her friends care too! Such good, caring people! Even Gaia must be impressed!
    Prez-a-dint obambam , he cares,too, his wife,she showed one a them signs,so I know he cares.
I would show that I,too, care, but I do not have a Twitter account,so have given my Wife instructions that if I ever DO decide to open a Twitter account, she is to shoot me immediately and fatally.
She, dear woman, has agreed. She cares too.

  16. Why wouldn’t they? Clearly the rest of the world isn’t interested in doing anything more serious than wagging their fingers at Boko Haram.
As much as I’m certain that finger-wagging terrifies them, it doesn’t seem to put enough fear into them to stop the mass kidnapping, rape, torture, murder, and slavery. Who would have thought?
