  2. Speaking of oil. Today, I attended an emerg clinic (minor repair) in southern Alberts and was treated by a doctor visiting from Vancouver Island. He offered (I never prompted) that a lot of BC people were complaining about possible new pipelines when (his words) “…half of the pay cheques in Nanaimo come from Alberta.” (His words.) I asked if he meant retired Albertans living there and he said, “No, a lot of younger people who live in Nanaimo and elsewhere are working in the Alberta oil patch.” Interesting comment from a doctor considering that many Canadian doctors have been sucked into the imaginary benefits from wind and promote wind because it is better for lung health compared to evil fossil fuels. Idiots. Except my doctor today.

Good one Corb, saw you guys at Lances wedding, good songwriter and great musicians,your guitatist is so smooth, such a breath of fresh air in the music business, a place all to often infested with useless leftie city boys who know nothing of what they squeal about and hate and bite the hands that feed them with their pathetic protest crap,(Neil Young) at least you know where your success comes from, and it isnt from the occupy wall street professor types it is from us hard working Albertans and other involved Canadians creating wealth every day.   6. Yep, many of the guys I have worked along side in the patch are from the Island and the Okanagan. I would probably say a good quarter of the guys I met this past winter are from B.C.
    They do well at home despite facing the constant onslaught of lefty “logic” by friends, family and neighbors. Most smile when discussing their frustrations at home.

  11. THis posting may stray off topic but in my view it is RELEVENT and perhaps NEWSWORTHY ACROSS CANADA.
    I AM Joe Molnar, age 82, living in Woodstock, Ontario.
    I support my local MP and I volunteer at election time by erecting large signs at strategic high visibility spots here in Woodstock.
    Ontario is in the midst of a provincial election now and I have erected at least 10 prime locations in the city.
    BUT HOLD ON!
    Because the signs were either on or near areas the Woodstock Parks department cuts the grass, my sweat generated work has vanished!
    All the large signs have been taken down by City Works!!!
    What the HELL, eh?
    There goes my FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION!
    So is this happening elsewhere in the province of Ontario?
    City works in effect shaping public opinion during an electio.

  13. My four leafed clover patch is yielding again this year and I have told TIM to STFU and put a freeze on CASINOS, and let MOms & POps sell Beer & Wine Spirits from their variety stores!
    Lots of struggling Moms & Pops Variety store owners in Toronto would vote for that, Liz
    It would surely piss off the current LCBO Monopoly in Ontario.

    That is the biggest piece of socialist propaganda i have ever herd , stop being such a knob!
    Get rid of subsidies, get rid of the dairy cartel’s in caanda and just about over night the price of dairy products would drop,Quality WOULD be maintained , And the gov would save money.
    The suppy of dairy products and dairy farms would once again spout up and start making “buying local” a great thing and very easily accessible. That proffessor is a knob.

My four leaf clover patch has fizzled out, got more dandelions,lots of yellow just like McGuinty who did a runner from his wreckage when he promised he would serve a full term if elected last election. I too am telling our MPP to relay the same message to his leader re selling beer and wine in corner stores…it’s a sure winner in these parts too.

    This is about his denying MPs that are not pro- choice.
    He writes;

    Two weeks ago, I repeated my position, saying I would expect incoming MPs to vote in favour of a woman’s right to choose, which has historically found protection under Section 7 of the Charter.

    To those it has troubled: I understand. I empathize. And I care deeply that you are working hard to reconcile your beliefs with this Party policy. ”
    Well no, he is spinning his words, or more likely someone else is doing it for him.
    He goes on and writes, ” Canadians of all views are welcome within the Liberal Party of Canada. But under my leadership, incoming Liberal MPs will always vote in favour of a woman’s fundamental rights.”
    He is deliberately lying, or he is an idiot. Or more likely a lying idiot.
    And, ” I had an extraordinary example in a father who had deeply, deeply held personal views that were informed by the fact that he went to church every Sunday, read the Bible regularly to us, and raised us very religiously, as Catholics.”
    That explains why papa T took the kids and tossed Maggie onto the street with NO support, not a penny.

    Where in the charter does it mention abortion specifically as a right?
