  1. Nothing to discuss, really.
Most Canadian women are liberals and as a result… are fat, ugly, and not worth looking at, never mind listening to! This is what feminism seems to promote in women and that is truly unfortunate.
Canadian conservative women generally have merit besides their bodies and can make an honest living doing productive things.

  2. John Moore the Liberal Party fart catcher, big gubment lovin employee of Elections Canada, failed actor, Chretien, Martin metrosexual… that John Moore?
    Please.

  3. Brothels will be legal in December if no new law is enacted, perhaps the bureaucrats should force them to accept cameras and put the feed on basic cable? Would that be pornographic enough?

  4. John Moore . . . metrosexual… that John Moore?
    He’s a bit beyond metrosexual, isn’t he?

  5. We’re paying people using federal tax dollars to come up with stuff like this? I think I’ll send an email to the Finance Minister. Every little bit helps.

  6. There’s no such thing as porn addiction,
“The theory and research behind ‘pornography addiction’ is hindered by poor experimental designs,
limited methodological rigor, and lack of model specification,” clinical psychologist David Ley wrote typed with one hand,
in the journal of Current Sexual Health Reports.

  7. Was looking to put a comment with the same idea on the CRTC demand for content, though could not find it.

  8. Guess they mean Hajab sex, or even more freaky deviant crap “to enlighten the children”.
All of the sudden “Freedom of expression” becomes important to the Liberal Left.

  9. Simulcast the CPAC feed. And on a par with the BBC Canada channel having to run Canadian content.

  10. Needs subtitles?
Hey Liberal, ex deputy Minister of Education, and Premier of Ontario advisor Ben Lovin er, uhm, Levin can type with one hand, I’m told, and needs a job!!!

  11. Wait until Commissar for Bilingualism weighs in and demands all porn in Canada by 50% French and then the Big One will follow when the Ontario Human Rights Commission (aka Kangaroo Courts of Ontario) demands equality in porn for all transgendered, over weight, three spirited, people of not white paleness, victimized, racialized & marginalized people be represented as well.
Its a wonderful country because our government is looking out for us.

  12. Well, beavers are very Canadian. Maybe gay porn needs a hand, but the old-fashioned boy and girl, or boy girl boy, or girl boy girl would seem to be 100% Can Con.
Do we get a bonus for the girl girl stuff?

  13. Then we could give work visas so Eastern Europeans could do the work like we used to do with peelers.

  14. What a p*** off! Finally, the gummint has mandated the career I always wanted, and I’m too damned old!
btw, bitterclinger, Ms.Davies doesn’t boff men, which I assume Avi Lewis is. Ms.Davies had ONE “meaningful relationship” with a man in her life,DERA’s Bruce Eriksen, and when he died, she never found another with a predilection for Odobenus rosmarus.
I should point out that Ms.Davies species is considered “threatened”.

  15. I remember a comment made by the Xaviera Hollander (Vera de Vries) of “Happy Hooker”
fame to the effect that Canadians made bad prostitutes. Too lazy and short-sighted.

  16. You know, if there was a true conservative government in this country, the minister of the Crown responsible for the CRTC would be on his feet this afternoon, and he’d be shouting that this story was proof positive that there were far too many useless bastards doing pretend work in make-believe jobs at tax-payers’ expense, and, that bushels full of pink slips were being typed up.
    If.

  17. Will be submitting grant request for production of “Beavers and Maple Syrup” and will do my part to represent Canada.

  18. The CBC has a porn TV hour or is it porn radio?
No really, is there a porn broadcaster in Canada?

  19. So let me get this straight, the topic is pr0n, but the filter won’t let you use the word.

  20. “CRTC says there is not enough Canadian content in our porn. Discuss.”
Well, there most certainly is enough political porn and pim*ing in CBC and CTV and the CRTC is the guard at the door.

  21. This is just another example of the oppressing weight and danger of huge bureaucracies as they mission creep into every aspect of Canadian life. It is not done from malice, but just the need to push paper and justify their existence and budget. Look at the Elliot Lake mall collapse. Who was in charge. Not the emergency workers, but the Ministry Of Labour whose Health and Safety regulations prohibited exposing the emergency workers to work in an unsafe environment. Common sense has nothing to do with it.

  22. A decade or so in the past…
In Germany, where these rules were quite a bit more lax. there was an “unemployment insurance” case (I don’t know what it’s called in Germany) whereby a woman was collecting UI or EI as it’s called here now, and a job offer was forwarded to her by the local governing authority. It was for a sexual service, like a massage parlor type of thing possibly similar to the type of service frequented by ex NDP leader Layton.
And, this was a decent woman, her prior work wasn’t of this type, and not the type of gal to work in places frequented by the likes of Layton or his ilk, and so she declined to take this work.
She was then “cut off” from the unemployment insurance benefits she’d been collecting because she’d declined a reasonable job offer.
After it made the news though, and some thinking type people saw just what the jackals had in store for them in gov’t, the decision was rescinded.
And how is this, “everyone must follow the rules” sort of thing any different from anything else that gov’t does?

  23. Yes, I remember reading all about that in the Alberta Report magazine.
I think it was actually a brothel. That’s what happens when brothels are legitimate tax paying businesses and they offer someone a job. If they refuse the job, they get cut off of unemployment benefits.
What kind of society do we want to live in?

  24. If they really want to fill the roles there are plenty of suckers of c**k in the media.

  25. Looks like a career opportunity from here!
Where will the auditions be held? Can I get pictures of my costars on line?
For no reason at all: Sign from a Roman brothel in Mel Brooks’ “History of the World – Part I.”
    “First served – first come.”

  26. Yup. thanks for doing the actual search, the story’s been on my mind lately, because of the recent Supreme Court decision here that struck down canadian prostitution law.
In a more perfect world, Ezra Levant would defend those women you refer to, for $ millions.
And next january when they’re legal, the Ottawa brothels would all be in Beverly Mclaughlin’s neighborhood.

  27. Canadian content eh?
    How about?
    The Beyotch Combers
    The Littlest Ho Beau
Horney Night in Canada with Long Ron MaClean and Don Papa Cherry
    The Poke A Lot Door

  28. Maybe “Little Brothel on the Prairie”?
Or better still, get rid of the CRTC.

  29. You win!
CRTC a flippin waste of tax dollars. Making sure Canadians are Canadian because we are too stupid.
I am under the assumption that in Quebec they have to orgasm twice, once in each official language, eh. Mon Dieu!

  30. made in Canada stamped on their rump
or should that read laid in Canada?????
Donato must worried about his job by now, as this sort of news is “humour” that is HARD to compete with

  31. Good news for Sarah Polly! Sounds like she will finally have an opportunity to make taxpayer funded movies that people are actually willing to watch. If they’re into MILFs and cougars, that is.

  32. I suspect north of 60 owes more than a few readers here new computer keyboards….I for one will buy a waterproof/coffee proof keyboard next.

  33. sorry ’bout that…
I’ve made it a habit to never view SDA with my mouth full.

  34. I can handle Canadian porn if the actresses are forced, forcibly, to wear seal skin boots.

  35. I can handle Canadian p-rn if the actresses are forced, forcibly, to wear seal skin boots.

  36. You’ve hit the nail squarely on the head. Bureaucratic regulations and red tape threaten to sink our country into an abyss that we may never be able to crawl out of. When a paper pusher is fired for porn surfing 90% of his work day away and is reinstated with back pay because it’s not his fault that he had no actual work to do, why should anything else coming from the government actually surprise anyone.

  37. Make work project for unemployed and/or retired sex workers-particularly those with husky voices will now have employment opportunities as voices for described video services for cable outlets providing vocal effects for Canadian porn channels. Tax payer savings-less payouts for unemployment, social assistance and CPP payments. Morality is so yesterday.
