I was told, *told* that I wasn’t allowed to work on the 24th, not even until noon. This is near, though not exceeding, that level.
Are they sure nothing will break?
Interesting, those lights. Hope we don’t fry anything on overload.
It only takes a few seconds for the lights to respond to your switching.
Kind of neat.
There goes the GDP for December. ☺
I just wasted ten minutes playing.
What a hoot. Crazy, silly, but fun stuff.
Does this moot the question, of “What time do they turn the Northern Lights on?
Yes, we’re sure nothing will break.
One thing I haven’t done is post the URL of my personal web site which allows people to control things in my house. (Despite the low theoretical security of the “security through obscurity” information hiding model, it works surprisingly well). WRT to the internet controlled Christmas lights, neat to find out how many people are visiting ones web site to toggle the state of the outdoor lights, but no longer a big deal nowadays (10 years ago I used to think it was really neat to be able to do this). Found this site about 5 years ago and only played with it for about 5 minutes.
More interesting than controlling the Christmas lights on someones house remotely was a site whose URL I’ve forgotten, which about 10 years ago, allowed one to control an internet enabled cat feeder to drop a cat treat into a dish for the cats in the house. Unfortunately it got over run with visitors and am curious about how much weight the cats put on as a result of letting everyone in the world feed them as one could view a video feed of the cats eating the treats one had just dispensed for them.
OK, my kids have had yet another strange but very cool Christmas treat.
Thank you, Merry Christmas
Thanks so much for showing the link. It will be 31 c here tomorrow… fantastic Christmas weather in in Australia
Love this! Thanks to Mr Wood for doing this. Thanks to Kate for linking this.
Merry Christmas!!!
Heh, I think I popped a light or two. Neat, thanks Ken! Sent link to my buddy in Alaska.
