There’ll Always Be An England

It’ll just be a lot…different:

In Britain, a man was arrested, questioned for eight hours, had his computer confiscated for investigation and was DNA tested and fingerprinted. His crime? He made a joke about how his laptop took so long to shut down he should call it Nelson Mandela.

  1. I don’t think there is anything worth saving in Britain is there? They have reached critical mass in stupidity and self loathing. We certainly don’t need any retarded commie Labor voters escaping to Canada when their Muslim guests assert themselves at a higher pitch. A nation that pimps its children to filthy Pakis to please Saudi Arabia deserves destruction.

  2. Britainistan. They have totally lost their spine. Maybe the stories that Saudi Arabia own them is true.It sure seems like it.

  3. I’ll just wait for L-ass to post so we will have a perfect example of “stupid” to demonstrate how a country arrives at such a junction

  4. Death of a country by political correctness, human rights commissions and gutless politicians is a sign of the times for all western countries with the possible exception of Australia and Switzerland. France and Germany recognize the danger and are trying to reverse course, too little too late. Hindsight is such a great teacher. Pity they no longer teach relevant history. Anyone with a functioning brain should be able to see this slow motion train wreck coming, but like the global warming panic shows, functioning brains are the minority. Sometime in the near future we will be able to say “I told you so”. Of course we will have to whisper it or we’ll face possible arrest like the man with the Mandala joke. Pity.

  5. Indeed. The way the left used the Labour party to implement the social engineering that rotted out Great Britain from within, is the same way the left is using the Democratic party to take down the U.S.A., and the way Trudeau used the Liberal party here to set us on the road to rUinTOPIA.

  6. The West is on a suicide mission it started. Our political elite has betrayed its own people for cheap oil.
I don’t even blame the Islamists. Why not take over stupid Nation that are bent on thier own demise.
By us allowing these socialists with other liars to do as they please we now go extinct.
Britain is now a sharia slave state. Only the manacles are late in coming. Soon though, very soon. They will bit by bit be exterminated as all Muslim invasions have done to Counties in the last 1,400 years. But hey they won’t have Christians any more. No music, no freedom.a parody of government. Finally an end to welfare. No art. Actors who will flee or die.Goodbye booze or pets.
They will have veils, hangings for apostasy, forced Religion in Islam. Lots of beheading.
    Fatwas up the kazoo.
That’s what happens to Nations that kill their children than import known invaders with a habit of taking over Countries with a superiority complex.

  7. Are they unable to deport all those people who participate in these demonstrations? That isn’t protected by free speech surely.
They don’t want to assimilate, and want to change the country into a carbon copy of their home land, so can’t they be shipped out immediately?
It’s stupid to ask, I suppose, but I really don’t understand a country tolerating this kind of behaviour.

  8. I disagree with Michael Coren on one point, he thought the renaming of the laptop as “Nelson Mandela” tasteless, while I think it’s quite funny.

  9. There are even more tasteless areas to explore
in computer comparisons. The lack of economic
understanding among his top far left supporters
that there is more to governing than providing
graft and patronage to placate followers never
seemed to get debugged. So, a country of huge
national resources and the people at hand with
the ability to get things going were ignored if
    not actively threatened with death.
Nor is the fact that all it would have required
from Mandela to have seen Zimbabwe’s Dictator For
Life Mugabe dethroned and the murderous suffering
his people endured at the hands of Mugabe’s Thugs
stopped was a simple phone call.

  10. It’s not the country as much as the political correctness. They have painted themselves into a corner with a Muslim welcome mat and a social science theory that all people are equal and must be treated accordingly. Once Muslims experience the warm embrace of freedom and adapt to their new life in a free country they will become Productive British citizens and leave the old ways behind. The theory seems to be you can invite all the wolves you want into the chicken coop as long as the wolves comply with the chicken ruling class. If one disagrees one should just shut up because the head chickens know what their’e doing. The wolves like it. Chickens are their friend. It’s all in the social science hand book and professors are never wrong. Canada’s doing the same thing and the end results will also be the same. It’s just not politically correct to question it. The wolves will eventually realize they are stronger than the chickens but it’s a bit too late by then. Britain is already cowering with fear over saying or doing something that might anger the wolves, and like all wolves, they can smell fear. Just my simple interpretation of what’s wrong with Britain. Others are free to disagree.

  11. Yeah, it made me chuckle a bit too, in a passing, black-humour kind of way. What should be far more disturbing than his little joke, to the sort of people who would profess faux outrage over it, is that we – and I use the royal “We” in the most expansive sense to refer to the western world – are so inured, so familiar, with the spectre of someone somewhere in the Western world being punished by the state (in this case, being DNA-tested and fingerprinted, and having his computer confiscated for making a passing, innocuous quip) that we’re increasingly shrugging it off and saying, in effect, “oh well, that’s just the way things are these days (in England/Canada/the US)” etc.
Years ago some people might have found the joke tasteless, and some other people might have found it funny, but no one would have dreamed that the cops and the government would fingerprint and DNA-test a guy for a quip about some foreign leader.
We’re increasingly losing our sense of moral outrage about The State’s apparent right to enforce the brand new, hideously, grotesquely time-bound, PC “moral codes.”
This poor f***er made a quip bordering on a compliment about a foreign leaders’ refusal to give up the ghost in the face of mortal illness – a dark joke about his tenacity, in effect – and the cops treat him – literally – like a criminal.
What happened to him isn’t really about Britain per se, or the US (think of the putative “Mohammad video”, and what happened to that guy) or Canada (what with our human rights commissions, etc), it’s about the West in general. The citizenry’s cynicism and glibness and acceptance is what’s going to collectively do us in.
No one can, or should, be perpetually outraged about every news item that crosses their path, but when people lose the capacity to be outraged about things that happen to their fellow citizens as long as it doesn’t directly affect them or their families/friends *at the moment*, and they just shrug it all off in a Father Christmas tone, and in effect congratulate themselves about having a “realistic” — read “resigned” — worldview, that’s actually a serious problem barreling at high speed towards a much bigger one.
I remember well how so many people were saying, when the right to free speech was being directly challenged by little errand-boys (and girls) of the state, “Yeah, but Ezra Levant is a big-mouth” or “Mark Steyn does go a bit too far…”
These people not only don’t get it, but they’re the mortal enemies of civilization and freedom.

  12. So true. It always comes down to this,…the greatest of history lessons.
“In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.”
    — by Martin Niemöller, prominent German anti-Nazi theologian and Lutheran pastor, best known as the author of the poem First they came..
Other peoples freedoms are always easy to surrender if they don’t apply to you personally.

  13. Whatever happened to the concept of freedom of speech in Englandistan? I’ve been quite open (and pissed off a lot of people) when I have made comments that apartheid was a far better system in S. Africa when it existed and is isomorphic to the system the native Indians have in Canada (except it’s apartheid in reverse and the Boers got it right the first time).
As far as Mandela dying, why is it news? S. Africa is going the way of Rhodesia and I haven’t found one S. African doctor in Canada who believes that things are any better now. This is a group of individuals who are probably closet apartheid supporters but their only response has been to leave the country and practice in Canada. None seem to be in any hurry to go back there.
When the last white person leaves S. Africa, those remaining will really miss the progressive system of apartheid.

  14. okk…. could you please take time to learn English. the problem was and is not mandela. it is the legal system in England that would even consider such foolishness. we in Canada are just as bad. we still have our human rights people and we are importing muslims at a rate that should scare any thinking Canadian.

  15. Tasteless. Hmm is there a precedence for a joke like this.
Chevy Chase on the old SNL news use to start of every news cast by saying
“General Francisco Franco is still dead”….why because he was ill and there was a long deathwatch associated with it in the news.
Of course he was a quasi fascist and not someone the left it trying to turn into one of their exclusive saints….
And Britain, the land where humour always meant taking the p*ss out of someone in a higher or exalted position? Please. They are further gone than I suspected.

  16. Meanwhile leftists celebrated openly when Maggie Thatcher died. There were no arrests for the blatant disrespect and hatred shown to the woman who saved the country from economic ruin and fought communism all her political life.

  17. The British people did not vote directly to eliminate freedom or speech.
Though, they did vote for politicians who are in the process of gradually eliminating doing just that.
EDB is correct, expression of citizen outrage is required to discipline and keep the government in line.
The difficulty is that the institutions that normally support that are compromised, the education system, the media and to some extent the judicial system.
Whether it has passed the point on no return isn’t clear. It will in large part depend on the percentage of vote that the UKIP party lead by Nigel Farage receives. Farage, being independently wealthy, can afford to speak truth to power.
UKIP wants to return sovereignty, much of which has been turned over to the E.U. erocrats in Brussels, back to the British voter. If not enough voters opt for the new and much slandered alternative, they may pass the point of no return.
Notez-bien, It doesn’t take a majority of totalitarians to control an electoral democracy, if in close party races, a block voting minority can control enough swing ridings, their political power will greatly exceed their numbers.

  18. Revnant Dream @ 9:37 – You said it all in that final sentence, and we here in North America are hurrying to the same conclusion!

  19. Marc, you have a warped, but absolutely proper, sense of humor!
My own first reaction, was “funny”.
There MUST be a website where afflicted persons can determine what is politically correct, with daily updates, lest more stray from the straight and extremely narrow.

  20. There’ll Always Be An Englandstan.
The first thing the Islamist will do is burn the Magna Charta.
After all its now a sharia Law state. Its people salves to a secular government. Owned by Saudi Arabia. Its courts corrupt. Schools now segregated. Its police force Muslim gangs.
The media nothing but dhimmi tools of Islamist cover ups of infiltration. Politicians with a Political class in love with cultural suicide. Its leaders thick with traitors to the public for money.
The house of lords, is now the Council of sheiks.
The BBC an affiliation of Al Jazera

  21. “…”Yeah, but Ezra Levant is a big-mouth” or “Mark Steyn does go a bit too far…”
These people not only don’t get it, but they’re the mortal enemies of civilization and freedom.”
Absolutely. These are the Joe Clark, pinky, large C Conservatives. They have much more in common with Limousine Liberals than they do with the rest of us who have had some dirt under our fingernails.
They want us to buy their books, and vote for them, but they consider themselves a cut above.
