Not since the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991, and prior to that the fall of France in 1940, has there been so swift an erosion of the world influence of a Great Power as we are witnessing with the United States.

So what if our influence “erodes”. Erosion normally just gets rid of the soft stuff on top, leaming the rock underneath. We are still the toughest kids on the block, and we will still be tougher after our third world banana republic president finishes tying our hands behind our back. And, if I know my fellow citizens, we will take it out of the hides of all who caused any failure, including fellow travelers, useful idiots, and librul apologists.

Yup…right before our eyes. Sad. Like watching an african elephant or a blue whale decompose before our eyes.
Bad news for the rebels, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Quatar

… and Obama as he has failed to deliver for his Arab masters.
Next he allows Keystone?
BTW How come Obama can personally decide the fate of nations?
Well. Assad has accepted Putin’s plan to put their chemical weapons under international control(no link yet…tune to Fox News). Heh. Anybody want to bet how many chemical weapons they have to turn over? Time for us to close our borders to any and all Americumes.
“Not since the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991, and prior to that the fall of France in 1940, has there been so swift an erosion of the world influence of a Great Power as we are witnessing with the United States.”
Oh, I don’t know. The British Empire, exhausted by two world wars, fizzled away pretty quickly after 1945.
Don’t forget the British Empire was also badly undercut by the socialist monster. But you right.
This is what the Americans get for electing, as Clint Eastwood said, and empty suit community organizer way over his head and a Soros Marxist Manchurian candidate touted openly by the leftist media.
I don’t know about Arab masters, but he sure likes to advance the MB cause.
Yeah well, I have pondered this for some time.
There are pluses and minuses to living in a decadent society.
Then there is the psychological benefit from rightly or wrongly comparing our own exploits to the incompetent claque in Washington…..they make us look soooo god….
Many here, me included, have indulged in the perks (big screen TVs and cell phones) while denouncing the loss of freedom and security (desperate measures by a regime loosing control)that goes with societal decline.
Few understand these declines generally end with revision to strict, puritan societies…..by revolution or invasion….
Yeah I agree that Obozo is not the problem….it’s the society that elected him….legitimately or fraudulently….
I am not one who thinks that one POTUS can destroy her. The institutional strength of the USA should prevail in the long term. Obama’s message weakens more each day. I would be more concerned with ongoing re-election of Democratic Party presidents.
Syria is not a serious international conflict. It is important regionally as Sunnis and Shiites duke it out for Islamic dominance. It can be argued how much Obama listens to the Saudis but then the same was said about Bush. The geopolitical issue in the ME is who controls where the oil goes. Both OPEC and Russia have tried to influence world politics by determining that issue. America cannot turn a blind eye.
As much as Putin wants to reassert Russian international influence he cannot stand up to the USA. He can throw his weight around in Georgia, Ukraine and Checnia(?) but one could consider that a demonstration of weakness more than strength. I do not see a radical departure by Obama away from existing American foreign policy. He can accept a UN monitoring of Syrian WMD and look benevolent in the process. At the end of the day it will be an American decision of what happens or does not.
An ongoing civil war in Syria satisfies a number of needs in that sad excuse for a region. If Assad wins it simply maintains a known entity. Israel can take comfort from that. With Russian and Iranian help it is highly unlikely that Assad losses. That doesn’t make the Saudis happy but their financial aid for the rebels puts them in good standing with the Sunni Islamic movement. A Syrian win strengthens Iran’s power in the region but to an extent maybe some push back on the Saudis is long overdue. Iran will never dominate a Sunni ME anyways.
America – out of money, out of work, out of ideas and out of time.
The Conrad Black article that appeared in the NY Sun was in last Saturday’s National Post.
Not all Canadian MSM are alike.
A bonus for Putin is this face-saving measure will help keep Obama as the face of American foreign policy for another three years.
As has been commented before by others:
Q: If you were to plant a manchurian candidate, what would you have him do?
A: Precisely what O is doing.
None of his stupididy is an accident. Whether he is doing this on his own or according to a ‘script’ is irrelevant.
Destroy these things:
the economy and the ability of the economy to recover, the military, international credibility, the faith of the people in their ‘institutions’ such as the church or justice system.
Create these things:
dependence on government, internal conflict and dissension by polarising the population (class/race war), a radically dis-enfranchised group of people who will do whatever is told, and finally a sense of hopelessness
I don’t know of any way to do this faster than what O has shown us. Yes, it was started before O but the rapid escalation in the past 5 years is without equal.
Long, long, ago, and far, far away when I was a young man we had some black heroes.
Jim Brown, a great football player, Mean Joe Green,
My idol was Cassius Clay, aka ‘Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee,
Muhammad Allie,’
the only Muslim name I’ve ever admired.
So we had this idea of Macho black men,
and I can tell you we had a lot of them in Vietnam.
Anyway…
Now we wind up with this shrimpy little dope smoking turd that liberal democrats tell us how smart he is,
how brave he is, and what a great example he is.
But when you follow him around you find out that he is none of the above,
and that a lot of other good black men, Gary Colman for one, comes to my mind,
but I think he is dead,
would have made a much better black President.
It is sad to have this clown, because now I doubt that many good, honest, quality black men will ever get to be president.
Thomas Sowell for President! One of the wisest men alive (of any skin tone) and an unashamed patriot and capitalist.
Pace Rush Limbaugh, “The US can survive Barack Obama. It cannot survive an electorate that would re-elect him.” Obama’s a symptom, not a cause.
The U.S. is at a pathetic low point in their history. The rely on the Russians to launch them into space. They haven’t won a war since 1945. They are amongst the most powerful countries in the world and no-one fears them. Their level of impotence is approaching that of the declining years of the Roman Empire.
Rev., well said,
and Frenchie77, you just don’t get it, the problem was there before Obumbles, other wise he would not have been elected in the first place, never mind twice
Fearless Leader, Cassius Gay was nothing but a left wing jerkoff, Kenny Norton was a real boxer
The USA ain’t dead yet. If Bush was Caracalla and Obama is Elagabalus, and it’s currently a laughing stock there’ still a lot of life left in the old dog.
Communism always produces the same result in the end: decay and destruction. Whether you call it socialism or communism it is the same bird only sporting different coloured feathers. It did not happen overnight. The seed was planted and has grown and prospered especially in academia. This sickness has infested all of the West to one degree or another resulting as always in rot and the death of individual freedom and by extension of prosperity and capitalism.
On the money Frenchie
The zero is a hack-fraudster put in place to “F-up” in a predictable manner and enable the real orchestrators of this decline of America.
Aside from all the destabilizing side effects of this decline (which you have accurately itemized) the treasury i being robbed by the klepto-oligarchy before they collapse the system and fly out of the smoking rubble that was America.
Now this Manchurian candidate is lame and the rest of his term he will be impotent and fighting impeachment – the real anti-Christ (if you believe in such things) will be BO’s successor. I matters not whether he has an elephant or a mule on his sweater – he plays for the same owners BO has.
Sure the Americans will remain the strongest kid on the block. All they’ve got to do to ensure it is to print another couple of trillion dollars, maybe print a quadrillion dollars. After all, they print their own currency, so they spend as they want.
You just know that this will not end well.
I’m just using your comment to clarify some things with real govenment facts: Our debt does seem like a lot. However, we are printing the world currency. We can control what we print for ourselves, but we can’t have a handle on how much is needed for the rest of the world.
Our national debt is about $16.738 trillion. China has about $1.276 or 7.6% of that debt, as it should be for the worlds second largest economy, and dependent on the dollar for trading. Japan (3rd largest) is $1.108 trillion. Now a 7.6% debt is about $76 on a $1000 mortgage payment. All but about $11 trillion is public, federal reserve, banking and intergovernment debt which includes savings bonds, excess social security contributions, etc. We are not paying much interest on any of this debt, and a very large amount of debt is being used by national entities and international bankers as sort of a safety deposit box.
If push comes to shove and acts of war erupt, the debt with belligerents can be cancelled with no problem for The US. To paraphrase a fameous athiest, if our debt did not exist, the world would have to invent it. Our dept is the only thing that keeps this world going, as much as the chinese, russians and arabs protest.
I know that economics is the dismal science, and I am an engineer (but economists use lots of numbers). But if I can understand this, why are you falling for all the creeps with social and political agendas that distort what is really happening. Where are the Worldly Philosophers that comment on this blog?
Frenchie 77: None of his stupididy is an accident.
Ah, that’s been my theory too. I even came to feel that the destruction of America would trump his infamous narcissism, that is it say, he’d be happy to look stupid if it advanced the cause.
“…Our dept (debt) is the only thing that keeps this world going, …”
Who said that first? Was it the black knight in that old Monty Python skit?
Old Country Boy – the problem will come from recovery. Note that borrowing from the Federal Reserve is a fiction for simply printing money, in other words stealing value from all that currently hold US dollars. Cyprus did a variation of the same thing and destroyed its economy. The future recovery will come with hyper-inflation from the rapid increase in the money supply and the recognition of the fact that the loans from the Federal Reserve will never be repaid.
I tried to answer your arguments, but the idiots that control the comments kept saying the “text was entered wrong”. If those uneducated idiots can’t state the “text was entered incorrectly” or “the text was wrongly entered”, then screw them. They did this three times. You lose.
Kenny Norton was a real boxer? Ha-
The only fame Norton ever won was as a sparing partner for Ali, and a lucky punch that broke Alis jaw.
Ali defeated him two more times because Norton fights like a tree stump.
Watch Larry Holmes, another stump fighter, destroy Norton as they move around like two clumsy turtles..

But you’re not going to go pout, eh – you’ll hang around for another spanking? 😉
My take is that I read the text correctly and entered the text correctly but due to capcha being designed to confuse computers, functions as designed…..IOW capcha and the computer are stupid.
There is an upside to this…..in the coming struggle, that Issac Assimo foretold…we shall emerge victorious…the terminators WILL BE DEFEATED…..bend yer punchcards.
