There was a protest by about 50 (at most) with 4 Calgary police officers walking in front, back, and both sides on saturday in the central business core.
Led by chants from a burqa bound gal with a megaphone to chants of “USA out of Syria” … “No more war” with matching signage and the multicolored gay flag. The burqa gal was the only obvious muslim woman, a few of the guys appeared to be wearing islamic gear, while the other 40 or so appeared to be from the social science sector.
None of the protestors had anything to say indicating who was at the root of said invasion, no mention of who specifically was set on targeting those that may be responsible for the sarin gas attack. I looked at each of the protestors, read all the signs as they passed by 3 – 5 meters from me. No mention of the SCOAMF. None.
Only the “USA”. Why there was a time just last decade, when these folks *just knew* who was responsible for everything wrong in the world, every hungry kitten knew what the problem was, and that “Bush” caused everything.
My, times have changed.

Case in point #2: Also on Friday Power and Politics started their broadcast with two Middle East experts commenting on Obama’s ME policy. Talking head 1 declared it an unmitigated disaster and 2 concurred. Evan Solomen then proceed to equivocate, conflate and generally masturbate in favor of the One. 1 and 2 weren’t buying.
