A million children groomed is “progressivism”;
This faculty of the University of Toronto has been the center of controversy for years. Criticism of practices there has become more intensified since 2010, when an anti-Semitic thesis produced at [Ontario Institute for Studies in Education] was condemned across party lines in the Ontario Legislature.
OISE has yet again become the center of a storm with this weeks news that one of its most senior academics, Professor Ben Levin, was charged by police with a number of offenses related to child pornography.
So far, much of the focus related to Levin’s position at OISE has concerned his role as an advisor to Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne. The question is an apt one, as Wynne has pledged to impose a curriculum that was withdrawn by her predecessor, Dalton McGuinty, after it succumbed to widespread denunciation about its introducing highly sexualized material to children at an inappropriately young age.
I have mentioned numerous times over the years that Stalin’s acolytes (progressives) have taken over much of the educational system. As my retired teacher/principal/administrator friend in Ontario and my deceased teacher/principal brother-in-law discovered around 1960 the pedagogical disciplines had numerous communists and sympathizers in their classes.
And now we see the results of systematic undermining of the family and morality of the nation. The picture in the previous thread shows it vividly.

Education, politics, economy and religion…those are the four areas of control.
Education was first made a public concern, minds molded to accept compulsory public education. With as little choice as possible to gain education any other way. Of course, when education becomes public there has to be separation from Christianity. Politics.
When education becomes under the control of the political, anything can, and will, be taught. It’s been a deliberate plan right from the start, and the people went along with it.
Actually, it’s a plan put in place a long time ago…people are only getting what they wanted. Nothing like learning the hard way.

I can pretty well guarantee you that acceptance and support of this curriculum was the quid pro quo for Wynne withdrawing The Dildo’s ‘draconian’ legislation to curb teachers’ salary increases and benefits.
So they all gained peace and prosperity…and all it took was the sacrifice of pride and propriety.
And the really sad thing is this: there isn’t a whimper of protest and nary a suggestion of meaningful reaction from parents anywhere in the province.
Anybody with guts, decency and concern would withdraw their kids from the system.
I was kind of asking myself… A friend who is active in whatever the traditionalist Anglicans call themselves (I think he said ACNA?) mentioned to me that the guy was a high up lay-person in the “innovative” branch of the AC in Ont.

The Ministry of Education, in true marxist fashion, developed a Speak-up program for students, providing them with the false illusion their voices are being heard, and that lofty goals like inclusion, the environment, diversity and so forth is really their initiative and goal. Of course the objective being, if they believe it’s theirs; they’ll not only believe, but peddle this indoctrination with their entire beings-even going so far as to osterize students who don’t comply or seem not to be thrilled about building that particular vison of utopia within the school culture.
The student video found in the link below is ultra politically correct in every way imaginable-it’s the type of patheticism you need to see to believe.
Speak-up is costing Ontario taxpayers big bucks; no doubt it’s one more reason why the education spending has ballooned with no academic returns to show for it.

To clarify-not against students voices being heard, as long as it’s truly their own and not that of the school board-in this case, with the possible exception of hearing from war vets, all the iniatives presented by the students were objectives already in place by the school boards long before Speak-up came into existance. What happens when a few students state they are uncomfortable with parts of a new sex ed cirriculum for instance, or that they don’t want to eat halal certified foods upon discovering how they are killed. Will their voices be heard and honored or will there be attempts to re-educate them out of their perceived sexual or religious discrimination that is blamed on an unhealthy intolerant home environment.

A question for Mr. Levin: Did you actually think that you would get away with this?
I know you’re an entitled, one-world government, openness, tolerance, and diversity Liberal, with friends and colleagues in high places, but now that the police have the ability to launch technical surveillance of disgusting and lucrative activities such as you’re, apparently, engaged in, did you really think you could fly under their radar?
I can only imagine the damage control that Wynne and OISE are furiously trying to patch together for their friend and colleague — and for their having placed him in such elevated positions of trust and authority. The Liberal Party of Ontario, Wynne, and OISE’s credibility is really on the line here. This investigation opens a HUGE can of worms, as I suspect there will be more revelations as the police continue to probe Levin’s electronic devices. I suspect that Benjamin Levin is just the tip of this very deep iceberg.

This is a scandal of the first order — and in high places. It needs to be addressed, as our children’s safety and well-being are at high risk, given Benjamin Levin’s position at OISE, the number of students he has influenced, and his input into the radical sex ed curriculum at the TDSB.

We know the controversial curriculum for sex ed was put together by Levin under Wynne. What connections does Murray have to Levin over the past 20 years.
Wynne denies that she knew of his alleged proclivities. A plausible statement, people dont usually discuss their sexula pecadillos in the workplace. Whether this stands up or not is another matter. HAve there been any rumours, did nothing ever show up in security checks, and they go through those. Levin was a Deputy Minister of Education in Manitoba….he would have gone through security checks there as well.
Agree that if this is true, these are not individual lone wolves but usually connected to rings. Apparently info ties into New Zealand and other places. So they are always a member of a network. And it absolutely puts new light on the curriculum he was proposing. Wynne, to be charitable, wouldnt have got it since all she would have been seeing was “equity”.
But lets see how this unfolds. SHould be pursued but pursuers need to pursue appropriately so there are no distractions from the very real issues and troubling questions raised here.
If there is a network, and it has infected OISE, the Min of Ed then both need to be well fumigated.
Yes, Stephen, seeing as it’s New Zealand law enforcement officers who discovered Mr. Levin’s sexual predilections and not officers in Canada, either in Manitoba or Ontario, you’ve got to wonder what kind of police/security checks were done on him.
Are there different levels of checks depending on the person’s “status in the community,” which Clayton Ruby, Levin’s lawyer, thinks is important?
This scandal absolutely stinks. So far, the CBC and most of the Canadian media are putting a lid on it. I hope it explodes the more that’s discovered while police probe Mr. Levin’s home computer. No child is safe with perverts like this, who was Deputy Minister of Education when Wynne was Minister of Education. No child is safe if the explicit sex ed curriculum Levin, Wynne, and cabal cooked up is implemented.
This is a huge wake up call to anyone who told concerned parents that they should relax and shut up.
Ruby is a lawyer, he uses whatever arguments suit his purpose. He would have used status in the reverse to say thats exactly why Rob Ford was “a problem”. Ignore lawyer spin.
Where it does matter is harm to reputation, if you actual have standing to lose then there are potential damages. So perhaps that is the only marker Rubyis laying down at this stage.
But all of those positions would have required security clearances. Moving to OISE might have a much lower standard, but any government position up to and including being on Wynn’s transition team should have made them subject to OPP evaluation….not sure if Provincial politicians go through RCMP checks since they are ministers of the crown, I will check with some contacts.
I know the RCMP checks are very, very thorough and generally scare the crap out of your friends, family and acquaintences. they dont just visit who you tell them to visit.
Some interesting questions to be asked to say the least.
It has been demonstrated time and again that people who engage in this activity operate in networks, or are part of one. Sadly it is about creating “assets” that they can trade for other material to feed the sickness. Just a question of how extensive a network is, and who is in it, is it local or international or both. His profession just makes it more shocking, not that it wouldnt be shocking if the guy was factory worker. But this activity has attracted more than one “high status” member of society….see the Beligian Government ring of about a decade or 15 years ago. Access to Travel through their job (U.N. academics, government), particularly SE Asia is often a commonality. Find the network and fumigate it ruthlessly.
An additional disgusting part of all of this is that this sick sex education spawned at OISE has infected school boards across the country.
