51 Replies to “Behind Every Leftist Facade is an Elitist Totalitarian Thug”

  1. I’m sure this is all a big misunderstanding. It’s gotta be Harper’s fault, you know, cuz he’s so mean. Anyway, this is just a ploy by the tories to distract from the real problem – Mike Duffy and his spending habits (also Harper’s fault). What? Who’s Harb? Never heard of him. Hey look over there – Pamela Wallin!

  2. Blame global warming. Angry Tom was a bit “hot under the collar” today…

  3. What I see is Delacourt attacking Mulcair in revenge for the NDP going after Shiny Pony in the HOC.
Expect to see more CTV attacks on Mulcair, gleefully re-reported by the likes of Delacourt, in the days to come. That’s my prediction.

  4. Mulcair needs to get his privileged butt kicked, just like Poilievre did. Those officers and the security are there to protect him. He’s no one special, despite his home address.

  5. At that link, the following question is asked: “Do you think you would know who Tom Mulcair is if you saw him in real life?”
Yes, I would and I’d cross the street to avoid the creep!

  6. Mulcair has a serious case of much over rated self-importance. That said I think EBD is spot on about the media party.

  7. He should have stopped. It’s not exactly unreasonable that the leader of the Opposition expect the guys running security at Parliament Hill to know who he is. Perhaps you can explain how this makes him an “elitist totalitarian thug”?

  8. Well, don’t they know who he is? He’s not Joe Schmoe back bencher, he’s the leader of the opposition.
If the people tasked with protecting him while he’s at Parliament can’t recognize him, that says more about their competence than his arrogance.

  9. I think the story is not as much about angry Tommie the commie but Suzie (Creamcheese) Delacour. Obviously Suzie being the LPC’s frontline propagandist is digging to pile dirt on Angry Tom because the Librano red guard see him as the main threat in pulling votes from the Prince of Pi.
Meanwhile, crickets chirping as the liberal MSM blacks out the incredible leadership role Harper is taking at the G8 – but priorities being what they are for muck-wallowing lefties in a battle for 3rd place, petulant minutia covers the pages of their pet gossip networks and scandal rags.

  10. John, you answered your own question with your first sentence “he should have stopped”. His response, of course, was “don’t you know who I am” instead of “so sorry sir, don’t know what I was thinking, I should have stopped”. Thus proving he’s an “elitist totalitarian thug”, as well as douchebag. Elitist: don’t you know who I am? Totalitarian: Rules don’t apply to me! Thug: rules? don’t you know who I am?

  11. John ( as in toilet)
it’s his “attitude” that matters, if he had appoligized for his faux pas, then it would have been different, but he threatened
    brian gardener
the “guard” was NOT tasked with protecting Mulchair, he was gate security, big difference. As to recognizing him, or anyone, makes NO difference. As it could set a protocol that could be used by the wrong person at some time in the future. Also, a new guard may not recognize him, and there are those of us who may not recognize some one out of context, try keeping up would U!!!!
Hasen was reconized at fort hood, and he killed 13 ppl

  12. The fact that Mulcair, like all Prog leaders, believes laws are for other people is what indicates his thuggish totalitarianism.
We pay taxes to thug prog politicians so they can pay for the shackles they want to place on us while calling us greedy.
If you can’t see that progs are lying tyrants then maybe you shouldn’t vote come election time.

  13. Mulcair is just showing off his Quebecer’s inner feelings of superiority.
    Justin understands.

  14. I can’t picture PM Harper every treating anyone like that. “Leftist facade” — good word choice. Leftists: ‘nice’ and ‘compassionate’ to people in theory (and with tax payers’ wallets), nasty to people in practice and skimpy with their own charitable giving.

  15. Don’t be surprised if the source turns out to be someone in the Liberal Party. certainly casts a poor light on Tom without even proving the story. The Election game is afoot gentlemen.

  16. Some new math for Mr. Mulcair…
Speeding through checkpoint + beard + angry = suicide bomber.
He’s lucky he didn’t get shot. Note that I am assuming he looked angry, that seems to be his normal expression.

  17. And you would be correct. Ms. Delacourt was absolutely credulous in rushing to press the story about Justin “signing up” 165,000 “supporters” (she used either “astonishing” or “astounding”, I believe, to describe her reaction to the happy news). Too bad it was not true.
That said, it continues to astound me how the NDP never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Assuming the story is true, of course.

  18. When do we see the video?
Angry Tom showing that classic elitist face, the law is for peons, the little people shall blow and step aside.
Would have been real funny if the security guard had needed to warn Lord Tom of a driving hazard ahead.
This is typical of those who have decided they are best fit to lead us.
No one in their right mind wants to rule and regulate everyone else. Politicians with agendas are by definition Not in the right minds.
Trust me I want to be your leader.

  19. Somebody told me they heard that the Hell’s Angels showed a guy a video of Mulcair smoking kittens while shouting out anti-Armenian hate speech. Really, it’s true. When will Mulcair answer these accusations and stop being so controversial?

  20. Mulcair asking, “Don’t you know who I am?”. Well, we know what you are, and that would be a Marxist.
As to the guard not recognizing him, when I was raw recruit and on guard duty, a major came along, I let him through without asking for the password. I got reamed out thoroughly. Not even generals get through without the password, but somehow First Secretary Mulcair should be treated different.

  21. Mulcair has some pretty lousy grooming when you see him up close. He has lots of hair coming out of his ears and his beard looks like shite. If you took Mulcair out of his suit and tie and put him in sweatpants and a t-shirt he would look like a homeless guy. I can see why a new guard would mistake him for not being an MP let alone leader of the opposition.

  22. I believe there were two Guards on duty at the time and one turned to the other and said “We got another one–doesn’t know
    who he is”.
And now you know the rest of the Story.

  23. If I blew through 4or 5 stop signs with a lit cruiser behind me,an apology would not stop the cuffs from coming out along with the ticket book.
The RCMP officer should also take some flak. The only one that is blameless is the new guard.

  24. Do you suppose he was taught a duress signal and isn’t bright enough to realize he has to always stop at security checkpoints for it to work? Stopping the one time he was under duress would be a giveaway.

  25. Obviously, they need to do security upgrades at that gate and install a set of rapid deployment vehicle barriers.

  26. The more things change, the more they stay the same. My elderly mother was leaning on her cane waiting in the Customs line at Ottawa Airport when Ed Broadbent marched right on through with “courtesy customs”. That finished any hope of my mother ever voting for the NDP.
As for waving at the guards, that would get you shot on any number of political sites or military bases around the world; Mulcair owes those standing there in all weather the courtesy of stopping and even a polite word.
Now let’s see a ticked for blowing through five stop signs and a failure to heed a police officer!

  27. I still firmly believe that the real issue the NDP and Liberals have with Mike Duffy and the re-paid expenses, is the scandalous idea that they too will have to pay it back out of a PERSONAL account.
    The horror.

  28. Oh well. The RCMP didn’t do anything about it, did they?
I mean, there were no well-placed rounds fired; dickhead wasn’t pepper-sprayed; and he wasn’t dragged out, thrown to the ground, searched and cuffed.
Guess this means that the guards are absolutely useless…and therefore unnecessary, right?
    Calling all terrorists!!!!!!!

  29. He thought he was Olivia Chow and would have an easy election in 2014 🙂

  30. Maybe in the future he’ll want to have a large decal picture made of his head that he can stick it on both sides of the car above a caption that reads, ‘Your future Socialist King, pass homage to me.’

  31. John as in toilet. Wow. You should have your own show on Sun TV. You could be the John Stewart of the Right with a quick wit like that.
“there are those of us who may not recognize some one out of context, try keeping up would U!!!!”
Soooo… seeing the leader of the opposition at the gates of Parliament is out of context?

  32. No, him thinking security process does not apply to him or going through a number of stop signs is out of context. He is not the First Secretary yet.

  33. It is all because of the over sized French passport he carries in his pants you know. It is painful to carry around as it always rubs him the wrong way.

  34. Isn’t it ironic that those that loudly proclaim themselves as champions of the common people and protectors of the working man treat those very people with disdain and disrespect. PMSH, during his term as Prime Minister, has done more for the average working Canadian than Mulcair or those of his ilk would do in a lifetime. Of course, Harper gets it done sans the mindless rhetoric and self-congratulation that the average socialist thrives on.

  35. Mulcair’s office said in a statement Thursday that the Opposition leader went through the security check in the manner he always does.
I have no trouble believing that blowing off checkpoints and stop signs is normal behavior for Mulcair.

  36. Power of police officer to stop vehicle
    216. (1) A police officer, in the lawful execution of his or her duties and responsibilities, may require the driver of a motor vehicle to stop and the driver of a motor vehicle, when signalled or requested to stop by a police officer who is readily identifiable as such, shall immediately come to a safe stop. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 216 (1).
    Offence
    (2) Every person who contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and on conviction is liable, subject to subsection (3),
    (a) to a fine of not less than $1,000 and not more than $10,000;
    (b) to imprisonment for a term of not more than six months; or
    (c) to both a fine and imprisonment. 1999, c. 13, s. 1 (1).

It would appear that Mulcair broke this law,and got away with it. Perhaps he should donate a grand or two to a suitable charity. Maybe more if he can get another mortgage.

  37. John (as in toilet)
U do an excellent job at demonstating your ignorance, yes out of context, he was a public servant driving a car, not a politician in parlement. U see john, I have a friend that can not see faces at a distance, I have a hard time recognizing some ppl out of context, even my own daughter one time. Thing is john, not every one “functions” as U do, many of us have our own quirks. I doubt you could even come close to performing mental math calculations at the speed I do, and quite probably there are things U do that I’m not good at. So stuff your lefty ignorance!!!

  38. Let’s imagine that you’re a terrorist and you want to strike at the center of Canadian government on Parliament Hill. Only certain vehicles are allowed on the Hill itself. Of those vehicles only the VIPs are allowed to actually park close to the building itself. It’s a fact of life, the working schlubs have to walk farther in the rain and snow than the ‘important’ people. So you need a VIP who drives into work, someone important enough that he can bypass security. You need to take his family hostage, load some explosives in the trunk without his knowledge and have one of your men laying down unseen in the backseat with a submachine gun pointed at the driver’s kidneys. You lie and tell your driver that once they park the car on Parliament Hill the hostages will be released unharmed.
Now imagine you’re in charge of security on Parliament Hill. How can your people detect that a car bomb is being driven into the grounds with the driver at gunpoint? You need to have the driver stop so your guards can take a good look into the backseat. You need to have the guards converse with the driver who hopefully will remember the codeword to indicate that a hostage situation is occurring. Once the codeword is given, you need to have drivers obey stop signs to increase the amount of time security has to respond to the threat.
In short, the way Mulcair behaved was not only elitist but incredibly stupid in a high-security zone. If you flout security protocols you become the chink in the armour and terrorists will try to use you as a means of access. If they do so you will most likely die. I hope the head of security is having a nice little talk with Mr Mulcair right now explaining these facts to him most forcefully.
As to his threatening the RCMP officer, is anyone surprised that his inner despotic self came out? Politicians who are ‘for the little guy’ invariably are egomaniacal despots.

  39. I know that most Canadians that drove through a checkpoint on parliament hill without authorization, then drove through several stop signs while being pursued by the RCMP vehicle with flashing lights and only choosing to stop when they reached their destination, would not only apologize to the officer for their actions and since “No warnings or citations of any kind were issued to Mr. Mulcair.” I expect most Canadians would also kiss the RCMP officers butt.
What makes Thomas Mulcair such a privileged Canadian?
Does he owe Canadians an apology?

  40. *
sure, it’s a little arrogant… but unlike the last federal ndp leader who was confronted by police… at least mulcair had his pants on.
    oughta count for something.
