  5. I just got a call claiming to be from Tea Party Express that kind of pissed me off. The guy only got a sentence or two out but it was clear he was passing himself off as representing “THE Tea Party” as a whole, when I know damned well there is no such thing. The “tea party” is an IDEA not an organization. The idea behind it is citizens forming LOCAL groups and hold their local politicians accountable for their actions.
    I know there are going to be people who attempt to capitalize, in fact, it was obvious that call was coming from someplace in the upper midwest (judging from the accent of the caller) but I couldn’t be sure it wasn’t someone from the DNC pretending to be someone from TPE trying to get money out of me that might go who knows where.
    But the point is, there is no “Tea Party”. It is an idea and it is made up of hundreds of independent groups. Some places might have several different tea party groups, each one with a different primary focus issue.
    What I really resent is someone attempting to capitalize on the movement and passing themselves off as the central national organization and going around collecting money, NONE of which is likely to ever get to my local tea party movement.
    If you want to donate to your local tea party group, look them up and donate directly.

  9. Dr. Krauthammer mentions something often overlooked in the Benghazi scandal, that the call from B. Hussien to Hillary Clinton regarding the cause of the attack on the embassy, was made 5 hours from the start of the attack, while the Navy SEALS were still fighting for their lives for another 2 – 3 hours after this.

  17. Justin did a bit of a media scrum before QP today.
    He stammered out,after a long pause, that he doesn’t think the RCMP can be trusted to investigate the Senate. I think this will be buried quickly.
    JT is turning out to be even worse than most imagined possible. I don’t think he will last as leader until the next election. The man has been up on a pedestal his whole life. He will be very reluctant to take advise that he does not agree with,along the lines of “I am Justin,you are not”.

    I’ve got to agree with Evgueni. Somehow, these fraudulent, irresponsible, squanderers of incalculable amounts of tax money must be held accountable. As much as I despise Heidi Cullen’s call for deniers to lose their professional certifications, these fraudsters truly deserve punishment. They’ve committed real crimes against humanity, far worse than those committed by armed robbers given 20 year sentences. I’m in favor of early release of nonviolent offenders to make room for Yeo and the rest who knowingly committed fraud to line their pockets at taxpayers expense.”

  25. batb, wallyj I think one of Justine’s problems is that he does not have a deep reservoir of thought to draw upon. I doubt he is well read. He thinks he can rely on people skills, and tends to play that up, but unfortunately (for him) in a setting requiring spontaneous answers to questions, he comes out sounding shallow and full of cliches. I suspect someone else is actually running things in the back room.
