Charlie Wilson’s War phase 2? Phase came back to bite the hand that fed it. Will phase 2 also bit the hand that fed it?
S/B Phase 1 came back to bite the hand that fed it. Forgot the e on bite in the last sentence.
Time for bed. Too many Easter Bunny rug rats around the house today. Gramps is tired.
They got them from the Benghazi Easter Bunny.
It was a cool video until the evidence-free lies.
So the US is supplying Islamist rebels with weapons of war while signing on to the new UN arms trading treaty that would prevent the movement of such weapons.
Abdullah is way too close to the scope. Just because you have the tool doesn’t mean you have mastered it.
I was hoping to see a scope kiss.
Yeah I too wuz watching that fool choking up to that eyepiece.
Then I realized we wouldn’t see him get whacked…because they wouldn’t have released the video clip….They probably cut the tape short cause it knocked him cold on the next shot….
I recall Lebanon during their civil war. A bunch of us were walking on the beach when this french female “journalist” got up and walked on the seawall….It was about a mile to the Green Line but we told her to get the hell down. She laughed at us…talk about yer last words….a moment later some son of Achmad the aweful nailed her with a dragonev….
I drove a truck through the southern US, and went through this town that looked like a war zone. Buildings looked like they were bombed out, people milling about the streets no job or future. Mexicans on the street corners looking for work. The guy I dropped my load off said to run them over, his wife and son has been out of work for over 5 years. The one that shocked me, and I had to stop my truck for, was a house with no windows or doors. The lady that lived there was not on crack, like you would think, but was just too poor to fix it.
And yet they have money to bomb Iraq, keep bases in places like Germany, when the war is over like 60 years ago. Of course supply this guy with guns, but he would have no problem shooting the infidel American with it “Allahu Akbar”
There has be a very sophisticated anti-recoil mechanism involved
that they aren’t much interested in talking about beyond “floating”
barrel. The scope and stock seem almost independent of the main rifle
assembly when it fires.
OK Silly question.
On which of the many sides in Syria are they on? Does anyone know? Soundds of “Allah Akbar” give a clue. Who’s side is the US government on?
With that less than one inch of eye relief,it indicates a really cheap scope. Somebody send these poor buggers a Swarovski or Zeiss!
Pres Obama?
Here is a Russian-made video about the situation in Syria (long, but informative). Given the source, it may not be totally credible, but I did find many aspects quite believable (like two different press releases from the rebel army (one for the West and one for other Jihadi’s) http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=340_1363204216#comment_page=3
Where did they find them?
Probably bought them from a Mexican drug gang.
Are we surprised? Congress chicken hawks have been rattling their Bic sabers over Syria since the inauguration. If Obumbles wants to continue to plunder the treasury and hollow out the US economy for his globalist masters, he has to feed the dogs of war by letting them scam some war profits before the collapse. Watch for either a false flag attack on US interests by spooks dressed as Syrians or a domestic terror act committed by so called Syrian sleeper cells to justify expanding US entanglement there.
This foreign policy intrigue is becoming transparent and repetitious.
Sometimes there’s no “good” side. I remember thinking during the Iran-Iraq war that our enemies were finishing each other off.
Another toy that I’d like to have but haven’t looked at the price tag for it yet. With a .50 cal I’d be happy with a bolt action as it’s the effective range that’s of interest to me. OTOH, there’s also the close range power and remember a 1/2″ thick piece of steel with a nice .5″ hole through it that a friend of mine had.
I always figured “free float” was impossible with a gas system that far up the barrel. Isolating the scope from the barrel/receiver does not impart accuracy, sorta like having a fixed bayonet…there is no system know to man to maintain an accurate alignement….which is why scoped M2HB (Browning heavy MG) can never achieve the accuracy of a Barrett. Close but….

Thanks for the link to the liveleak, In this instance I think the Russians are much more middle-east “savvy” than most of the west give them credit for.
I think a lot of that comes down to their history and historical links via orthodoxy and ethnic links across the Caucuses not to mention hundreds of years of history of having a very direct border that they had to defend against the old peace loving musselman.
The Russians are very aware of what is needed to be done to control islam, it showed it had learnt that the historical way of war against Islam still worked in Chechnya
The west didn’t listen to Russia about Libya, and we have reaped the the cost of that and both there and N.Africa are far from finished in that respect.
I think are the Russians are sending a very clear message to their own back yard, re-iterating what happens when the radicals take hold, and why they will play them with an iron fist inside the kid glove. I don’t think it has bugger all to do with facing off the US and the west, they are finished as a power anyway both Islam and Russia knows that, Russia has never had their help in fighting Islam anyway and its not going to get any now.
As they say and as they have always proven, they play the long game and play it well, the west doesn’t even know how to get to the table.

No it doesn’t. Russia’s handling of Chechnya has been a disaster. The whole Russian Caucasus is a violent corrupt mess. And Russia’s handling of Syria has been a disaster. Now they are hated by half a country. They could’ve just told Assad time’s up and given him a back home by the Black Sea. Russia can’t play the long game they talk a good talk but they’re drunk on their own arrogance and self-importance.
Where did the get them?
Gee you can buy them on Gunbroker.com for about $12k. There are rich Syrians in the West. No tin foil hat conspiracy needed.
“Russia’s handling of Chechnya has been a disaster. The whole Russian Caucasus is a violent corrupt mess.”
It was a disaster for Chechnya. The Russians pretty much levelled the place hardly leaving one stone on top of another. As to the Chechens reprisals – bloody and spectacular but essentially Russian rulers are impervious to that sort of pressure. As to the place being a violent corrupt mess – i doubt that it bothers said rulers so long as they call the shots. They got their way – which is the whole point.
meh – Americans arming their enemies… This sort of stupidity has been going on for decades.

Hmm, interesting, I must have missed that on my last trip

Here is a WAY better video of someone with a scoped rifle using what I would say is far better control of the weapon.
Look closely at the fine form displayed in this video
