Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

It’s like those famous images of the Fort Mac emisions on a frigid day when even the brass monkeys leave a contrail….
The corporate media are the propaganda wing of the global government elites who will carry Agenda 21 forward. Nothing, repeat nothing, is off the table where these sleazy liars are concerned. These days a corporate broadsheet isn’t fit to wrap fish guts in.
Every picture tells a story. However, the facts are irrelevant to spinning this saga to a particular point of view.
The medium is the message
I lived in Detroit in 1970, everyone was working (even the hippies), black crap piled on our cars. We listened to the Firesign Theatre where they proclaimed: “Where there’s Smoke, there’s Work!”
Does this mean that the CBC does not lie, cheat, scam and obfuscate as much as the WaPo?
Because the truth is to the CBC what virginity is to prostitute . . . just a vague long past memory.
Lies everywhere. The demise of Western Civilization.
I mourn the money wasted on CBC when in a true competitive system they would actually have to investigate or go broke like the NYT. Leaning left and picking sides is OK with me but not when vast taxes support this poor excuse for journalism. Cut them loose ad watch them swim…or drown. Preferably the latter.
The paper media has become such a blanket of bias and lies that one can feel no sympathy for it as it dies. The sooner its corpse is buried the sooner the truth can again be given a chance to shine.
Nuthin that a tax on ‘hydrogen’ won’t cure.
Photoshop – a hack journalist’s best friend. Don’t report the news – create the news.
I’d like to see a levy on coal power generation that tracks the actual pollution it causes. I think clean coal is pretty misleading, clean compared to normal coal doesn’t mean it’s desirable compared to other power sources like gas or nuclear.
The fluffy white clouds in normal lighting are just as inaccurate in showing the actual pollutants as the night shot is in highlighting water vapour, I would think.
“The fluffy white clouds in normal lighting are just as inaccurate in showing the actual pollutants as the night shot is in highlighting water vapour, I would think.”
Riiiigggghhhhttt. But they don’t make good propaganda for use by the eco-cult religon and scam artists of cAGW. Maybe you could take a small trip to ChiCom country, and see if you can find any white, fluffy emmisions from their coal plants.
And BTW…they are not clouds.
Newspapers are good for keeping frost off the heads of bums… period.
The concept of shame seems to have vanished from the newsroom.
Fearmongers.
Something needs to be done to overthrow their own complacency.
Only fools believe the media are presenting truthful objective news.
The media produce an entertainment product selectively edited and crafted to appeal to the demographic their advertisers wish to reach.
People read the ‘news’ to have their preconceived notions validated.
The ‘news’ you like is no different.
Why do you keep acting surprised by this?
The closest thing you’ll find to objective news is the BBC, and sometimes even they’re biased.
These same moronic fraud artists will soon try to pull the same stunts about the new ice age burying the big apples in a kilometer of ice.
“The closest thing you’ll find to objective news is the BBC, and sometimes even they’re biased.”
Bwahahahahaha…Hehehehehe….you really need to wear a hat when out Nof60. The brain freeze is setting in. At least now we know where you stand.
I am 68-yrs-old. I have NEVER, EVER read a newspaper account or watched a TV story about something I had personal knowledge of that didn’t contain MAJOR inaccuracies..
No ‘Justthinkin’, you don’t know anything about me, as you’ve clearly illustrated. Keep your personal insults to yourself.
l’insulte personnelle est le dernier refuge de l’intellectuellement défié.
True enough, true enough. There, there lads. Tut tut then, eh? Hmmmm. BBC,CBC,BBC,CBC…state-funded broadcasting of news, hmmmm… No, no, pip pip! Totally different, what?
Yeah, normal coal plants like they’re putting up in China are brutal for air quality. I don’t think ‘clean’ coal is good either if we can reasonably afford other sources. Googling China coal plants right now the pictures I see are pretty white in daylight, so for the owners of the plant to say the daylight picture is the accurate image is questionable.
For me coal vs. nuclear was the litmus test of how seriously to take the warmers. If the imminent doom was really true then they would have said ‘we need to replace all coal with nuclear now and change from that to “green” once we’ve “saved the planet”, and they would have been saying we need to really subsidize nuclear/gas/etc in growing economies to displace the massive build up of coal there. Instead they run around subsidizing 100k electric sports cars that burn down and making noise about that one relatively modern coal plant in their province which must be replaced with whatever makes them feel the fuzziest.
I worked with a roommate who liked to listen to BBC radio in the morning in the car, it was great, the only time I think I’ve ever heard news that was truly objective. I can easily think BBC is the best with the exception of the religion thing.
Agree nuclear is the way to go,but the greenies/eco-cultists have derailed that idea pretty good.Kinda of ironic when you think about it.

it’s not ‘derailed’ at all, you give the eco-nuts too much credit
BBC unbiased? Now that is the howler of the day.
Way to much credit. They know damned well that Wind is a waste of time and Nuclear is the only rational option.

The ironic thing is that these smokestacks are “emitting” GHGs No, not the watermelon CO2 minor GHG fantasy emissions, but water vapour, by far the most potent GHG.
No wait, how would that justify Chinese coal-fired pollution? Anyway these twits have been putting the skin on the onion for decades now whereby an insignificant GHG apparently overpowers its vastly more powerful cousin (think of the sun and the earth) to overheat the planet. Well at least that’s what their models predict; in the future that is.
They won’t give up until every national treasury has been drained or George Soros becomes the king of the earth, whichever comes first.
Let’s hope their fraud is truly revealed so the public can be shocked; shocked I tell you. Maybe Gore can be made to account for his BS.
I know, probably not.
