Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

What They Say About SDA
"Smalldeadanimals doesn't speak for the people of Saskatchewan" - Former Sask Premier Lorne Calvert
"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
The Cream of Socialism apparently has a nasty aftertaste.
The Chunky Vegetarian is bitter and tasteless.
California – where the the business climate takes a back seat to panic over the earth’s climate.
Listen up B.C.
Fred – put a teaspoon of sugar and one quarter teaspoon of baking soda in that soup; makes it edible. This method works for any food with a tomato base.
Whats happened in Colorado reminds me of all the liberals who have moved to Alberta & are destroying our culture of hard work with liberty.
They left welfare Provinces only to make ours a carbon copy. The elation of the UN human rights Mandarin Redford, along with the corrupt Progressives. Only proves it.
Its been the Easts dream to see Albertan’s in the same PC chains they wear.
If I was a conspiracy nut I would have called this planned. Unfortunately our wealth have attracted the vultures.
California has apparently gone from soup to nuts.
No soup for you !
California just keeps getting what it has coming to it.
Jema, interesting but does it improve the taste?
According to one of the comments, they make Halal soups. I almost wish that they do go broke. A pox on both Campbell Soups and Californica.
Revnant, sad isn’t it. They come for the jobs that free enterprise creates and then vote to destroy the engine.
So, what land of opporunity are they relocating to, Dildo McDinkyland, or La Nation Marois?
Victor Davis Hanson has a good article about his experience in California in this edition of City Journal titled “Life With the Vandals”.

We recognize this is difficult news for employees in Sacramento and South Plainfield. Campbell is committed to helping them work through this transition. We expect the steps we’re announcing today to improve our competitiveness and performance by increasing our asset utilization, lowering our total delivered costs and enhancing the flexibility of our manufacturing network. These actions also will eliminate the capital investments needed to maintain the Sacramento plant.
Translation: The taxes in California are too high, the regulations make it nearly impossible for us to make improvements to our plant to improve efficiency, and our employees are lazy thieves.
We in Ontario have already witnessed such a mass migration of businesses out of our province due to ever increasing government bureaucratic red tape and taxation (sorry, I mean premium hikes) so we can certainly sympathize. What’s the answer to this dilemma? I have no idea because we keep reelecting the lying bastard that caused it.
Well,
at least they still have Facebook.
I stopped eating Campbell soups when they started going halal. Its not that hard to make soup from scratch, you just have to plan ahead a bit better.
Can’t make vegetable soup without fresh veggies. The UN agenda 21 quislings in the Calif. political infrastucture have effectiveky shut down irrigated crop farming in the state by 1/2 the capacity it was in the 90s. I hear now even the wine producers are threatened by mandated water rationing and costs. Sustainability must not include sustaining the elements of human life like food, a job and a roof over your head.
Do a Google satellite scan of the former cash crop south western regions of Calif now – a figging desert where lush farming was once – I guess deserts are “sustainable”.

All of that and the nanny state telling them how to run every aspect of their business.
Justin Turdeau Canadas Gerry Brown.Actually that isn t quite accurate he is really a combination of Gerry Brown,Dalton McGuinty and that worthless commie Pee-Air Idiot Turdeau.Canada be very very careful, the next Federal election will decide the eventual fate of this country.
@ Frankemm
Doubt if Justin would take any seats away from Harper, but he would split the left. And that’s a good thing.
I used to supply equipment for that very Campbell’s facility. Great group of folks. Plus, I love their soups.
Let me very clear, however. While Nebraska and Iowa are RTWS, they suffer from appalling weather as well as terrible, flat, backwards and ugly landscape and people. If you happen to fly over, keep on flying. If you find yourself on 80, don’t stop. There.is.nothing.here.to.see.
