  1. lookout, I’m there, and back, and there, and back again on the apology thing. I see this morning that Rush has concluded that he has “descended to their level”. But that’s the right: principled, thoughtful, wanting to get it right; wanting to be fair.
The left has none of these assets (liabilities).

  2. Over at National Review, by Mark Steyn: “The Fluke Charade: Why should we have to fund a middle-aged schoolgirl’s sex life?” It seems that Mark and I are reading from the same score.
“. . . Insane as this [Fluke] scenario is, the Democrat-media complex insists that everyone take it seriously. When it emerged the other day that Amanda Clayton, a 24-year-old Michigan million-dollar-lottery winner, still receives $200 of food stamps every month, even the press and the bureaucrats were obliged to acknowledge the ridiculousness. Yet the same people are determined that Sandra Fluke be treated with respect as a pioneering spokesperson for the rights of the horizontally challenged.
“Sorry, I pass. ‘Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom,’ wrote Benjamin Franklin in 1784. In the absence of religious virtue, sexual virtue, and fiscal virtue, one might trust to the people’s sense of sheer preposterousness to reject the official narrative of the Fluke charade. Yet even that is not to be permitted. Full disclosure: I will be guest-hosting for Rush Limbaugh this Monday, so it would not be appropriate for me to comment here on Rush’s intervention. But let me say this. Almost every matter of the moment boils down to the same story: The Left’s urge to narrow the bounds of public discourse and insist that ‘conventional wisdom’ unknown to the world the day before yesterday is now as unquestionable as the laws of physics. Nothing that Rush said is as weird or as degrading as what Sandra Fluke and the Obama administration are demanding. And any freeborn citizen should reserve the right to point that out as loudly and as often as possible.”
    AMEN to that!

  3. Um, if Maher is just a comedian and keeps his politics to himself, how come he openly announced his million dollar donation to Obama’s SuperPAC?

  4. Sometimes some film or video who people think this is funny is not funny to me at all
    but also
i see these below video in Yahoo face book or some of funnies film in US I see it bazar
and these video you are watching
need to call heart or strok doctor because if some one panic too much they can not take those ride and they need to have in future regulation who can take those ride or fun ride can be lead to mental or body or strok to some people and need to have doctor in house to allow those rid happend

    this is not funny
But i saw Mr. Kenney for immigration
    that he believed that
marriage only for poor people in Canada
and welfare man only allow to marry welfare women in Canadxa
if welfare man in canada married a women out of canada can not bring that wife to canada because he can not responsible her it means
Mr. Kenney are like old arrange marrige to tell poor wlefare man who to marry and who to not marry
and if other men are rich like him there is not need to married at all there is plenty avaible
this is reall funny to me or at least to me
marriage is choice between men and women and poor can not abuse to who to choose
if there is fraud marriage happend and some one marry to for sake of only immigration to canada or money or etc that is different story and can be investigate if proof that
but if illegal married fraud going on it does not mean to abuse poor men who to marry who do not marry
some times one poor man in canada can marry a women and she can come and change life style and made him out of welfare too

  5. I hear you, MND.
And Rush is right: we on the right usually avoid the “smugly” slurs used so handily by the left. So, I know he finds it not a nice place to be—when he’s, apparently, in league with the left.
However, IMO, he wasn’t where the left are at all: in the cesspool of their ugly, minuscule minds. Unlike the Bill Maher’s of this world, Rush wasn’t indiscriminately throwing around crude, sexual epithets at women who don’t deserve them: the ones Rush applied to Ms Fluke were altogether a propos: radical feminist narcissist and “I am Sexual Woman” cry-baby that she is, she MADE HERSELF the perfect target for sexual labels. (I’m a female in a family of multitudes of females and I’m altogether with Rush and NOT WITH Fluke and Zer0. Fie on both of them.)
I appreciate Rush’s gentlemanly concern about his language, but, in this case, I think he should have just slammmed it back at the uber hypocrites on the left. Their despicable double standard is really showing.

  6. Me No Dhimmi, lookout – eh, I don’t much care what Rush said. I mean, it was (uncharacteristically) stupid and quite crass, but I’m not joining in these sudden conniptions about “misogyny”. I’m glad that that weasel Maher doesn’t have the sense to hide his inadequacies and obsessions. It’s the media’s double standard, and the lefties’ transparently thuggish strategy of discovering a great passion for “civility” and “decency” when and only when they think they can use the concepts to destroy someone, along with their tortured efforts to justify these contortions (see joe @11:20), that interest me. We need to make this backfire on them. Do it for Andy!
(I know what point he’s trying to drive home, but I do wish Mark Steyn would drop this new habit of calling 30ish people “middle-aged”. It’s a bit heartless.)

  7. driveby-joe said: “Now: the process of purging your party of the misogyny of sexually screwed up middle-aged men. Can ya do it?”
Hey joey. Your idiots lost the election, we won. Gonna keep going that way too. Barry is getting his tail waxed in November. By a landslide.
    Have a nice day.

  8. We were down in LA visiting Disneyland and such, thought we’d take in the Craig Ferguson show, about the only late night show I can stand. There was a guy going through the crowd trying to get people into Maher’s show. No takers. Free tickets can’t get people in there. When the producer got to my wife and I I told the guy “no f***ing way.” Didn’t even phase him, no comment or response and he moved on to the next group. Must be used to the language. On the plus side, Craig Ferguson was hilarious.
